Hi Jay, Thanks for your reply. If it's just for one input then yes this would work. However, I need to create an input that will allow the user to select multiple rasters to feed into the analysis. For example I would have Road, Urban, Water, Forestry, Sensitive Land Use rasters in the .gdb. As of now all the rasters go into the iteration but I want to enable the user to choose say only Urban, Water and Forestry or indeed another combination. Justin

I have a basic model that uses Raster Iteration to process all of the rasters in a .gdb. The model allows the user to define a weighting in the GUI and then the model runs a raster calculation on each iteration, stores the results in Collect Values and finally does a Cell Statistics calculation ton create the final output. As of now the Raster Iteration runs through all rasters in the .gdb. Is there a way of providing the user with a checkbox/radio button in the GUI to just choose a selection of the rasters in the .gdb? The image below shows the model and the GUI. Ideally I'd like to be able to select the required rasters in the GUI before assigning the weightings. Any advice or links on this would be great. Many Thanks Justin

Hi Dan, Thanks for getting back with suggestions. I can see how this will allow me to select individual rasters within the model. While this is useful I can't see how this would allow the actual user at the model interface to select just the rasters they are interested in? Thanks Justin

Yes, I've looked through this. It shows me how to set it up and allows me to limit what is used in the iteration. What I'm trying to do is set up the model so the user manually select what rasters are to be part of the process

Hi, I'm using Iterate Rasters in Model Builder to run through a number of raster calculation steps on each of the source rasters in a .gdb At the moment the model executes the process for all rasters in the .gdb. Is there a way of just allowing the user to select a number of the rasters in the the .gdb rather than all of them by default? I imagine some sort of check box or the likes. Any suggestions would be most helpful. Thanks Justin

Hi, I'm new to model builder and looking for a little help to get started. I'm trying to use the Select Layer by Attribute tool to allow a user to select a 'county name' from a list of county names coming from a field in my feature layer. On selecting the county name a simple buffer tool would be executed. It's pretty straight forward really! Right now I can get the user to select the county by an SQL expression ("COUNTY" = 'Essex' etc) but I would like the names pre-loaded if possible through some sort of drop down list. Many thanks Justin

You might try this change: <visibilitylabel>Testing</visibilitylabel> and then reload your project. Of course, this won't fix it, but it will let you know for sure if the browser is picking up on the changes you make. Espescially if using IE, I find that, depending on the workstation it is installed on, a <cntrl><F5> will reload with all changes, on other computers you MUST close the entire browser and then re-open the flex page. Anyway, just a thought as I've had this issue before also. R_ R_ Yes it's working for sure. Just made that change and it comes up after clearing the cache. No change to the legends though thanks

Robert, I appreciate your help on this and I've included the exact code you provided me with but still can't understand why the legends remain expanded. I'm thinking now that it must be something to do with my main config file as the ToC is exactly the same as in the above reply. If you have some spare time you might have a look. thanks Justin ToC.xml
<configuration> <labels> <visibilitylabel>Layer Visibility</visibilitylabel> <zoomtoextent>Zoom To Layer Extent</zoomtoextent> <expandall>Expand All Layers</expandall> <collapseall>Collapse All Layers</collapseall> <zoomtomakevisible>Zoom To Make Visible</zoomtomakevisible> <generatinglegendmsg>Generating TOC Legend</generatinglegendmsg> </labels> <tocsettings> <expanded everything="false">false</expanded> <collapselegends>true</collapselegends> </tocsettings> <legendtimeout>60</legendtimeout> <excludelayers> <excludelayer mapservice="Symbols"></excludelayer> <excludelayer mapservice="Utilities">8</excludelayer> </excludelayers> <excludegraphiclayers>true</excludegraphiclayers> <excludebasemaplayers>true</excludebasemaplayers> <usenewesridescription>true</usenewesridescription> </configuration>
Main Config
<configuration>
AIRO: Vacant Ireland

Vacancy and Unfinished Estates
<logo>Census11_WidgetsETC/assets/AIROTwitter.png</logo>   <geometryservice url="http://tasks.arcgisonline.com/ArcGIS/rest/services/Geometry/GeometryServer" /> <splashpage label="ArcGIS Viewer for Flex" config="VacantIreland_WidgetsETC/widgets/Splash/SplashWidget_VacantIreland.xml" url="VacantIreland_WidgetsETC/widgets/Splash/SplashWidget.swf"/>  <widget left="10" top="50" config="widgets/Navigation/NavigationWidget.xml" url="widgets/Navigation/NavigationWidget.swf"/> <widget right="-2" bottom="-2" config="widgets/OverviewMap/OverviewMapWidget.xml" url="widgets/OverviewMap/OverviewMapWidget.swf"/> <widget left="0" top="0" config="widgets/HeaderController/HeaderControllerWidget.xml" url="widgets/HeaderController/HeaderControllerWidget.swf"/>  <basemaps> <layer label="OpenStreetMap" type="osm" visible="true" /> <layer label="Aerial" type="tiled" visible="false" url="http://server.arcgisonline.com/ArcGIS/rest/services/World_Imagery/MapServer" /> </basemaps> <operationallayers> <layer label="Boundaries" type="dynamic" visible="false" alpha="0.5" url="http://airomaps.nuim.ie/ArcGIS/rest/services/Census2011PDR/Boundaries/MapServer"/> <layer label="Population" type="dynamic" visible="true" alpha="0.6" url="http://airomaps.nuim.ie/ArcGIS/rest/services/Census2011PDR/PopulationMaps/MapServer"> <sublayer id="0" popupconfig="Census11_WidgetsETC/Popups/PopUp_PopDens_11ED.xml"/> <sublayer id="1" popupconfig="Census11_WidgetsETC/Popups/PopUp_PopCh_0611.xml"/> </layer>  </operationallayers>    <widgetcontainer layout="float"> <widget label="Save a local bookmark" left="430" top="90" icon="assets/images/i_bookmark.png" config="widgets/Bookmark/BookmarkWidget.xml" url="widgets/Bookmark/BookmarkWidget.swf"/> <widget label="Print the Map" left="390" top="400" icon="assets/images/i_print.png" config="widgets/Print/PrintWidget.xml" url="widgets/Print/PrintWidget.swf"/> <widget label="Please Choose a Map from the themes below..."left="90" top="50" width="350" height="450" preload="open" icon="assets/images/i_folder.png" config="widgets/TOC/TOCWidget.xml" url="widgets/TOC/TOCWidget.swf"/> </widgetcontainer> </configuration>
Hi Robert, Thanks for help again and developing this really useful widget. I've adjuted the TOC settings as per your reply but still not getting the solution. When it open it's displays the way I want like image 1 But, when I click on a theme, say population, it has all of the legends open as per image 2. This is not what I want. Ideally I'd like it to display it the same way as in your example here: http://gis.calhouncounty.org/FlexViewer3.0/index.html?config=config-toc.xml <tocsettings> <expanded everything="false">false</expanded> <collapselegends>true</collapselegends> <disablezoomtomenuoption>true</disablezoomtomenuoption> </tocsettings>

Thanks Below is the full code from Robert's widget. Using this the layers need to be expanded by the users when opened and this is what I want. The problem is that all the legends are already expanded. What I would like to do is click 'Population Maps', this would list the maps/layers and then click again to see the legend. As it stands once I click 'Population Maps' it shows all the maps/layers in a list with the legends already expanded. This is a probelm as it means the user has to do a lot of scrolling to get to the bottom of the list. thanks Justin
<configuration> <labels> <visibilitylabel>Layer Visibility</visibilitylabel> <zoomtoextent>Zoom To Layer Extent</zoomtoextent> <expandall>Expand All Layers</expandall> <collapseall>Collapse All Layers</collapseall> <zoomtomakevisible>Zoom To Make Visible</zoomtomakevisible> <generatinglegendmsg>Generating TOC Legend</generatinglegendmsg> </labels> <tocsettings> <expanded>false</expanded> <collapselegends>false</collapselegends> </tocsettings> <legendtimeout>60</legendtimeout> <excludelayers> <excludelayer mapservice="Symbols"></excludelayer> <excludelayer mapservice="Utilities">8</excludelayer> </excludelayers> <excludegraphiclayers>true</excludegraphiclayers> <excludebasemaplayers>true</excludebasemaplayers> <usenewesridescription>true</usenewesridescription> </configuration>
Hi All, I'm using pop-up windows to show some descriptive information on geographical areas. The text is quite long and I want to add in some breaks. Any suggestions on how I can do this? Text I'm using at the moment is as follows: The rental 'asking price' for the average property in this area in 2012 was €{R_AVPR_12}. At peak prices(2007), the average rental 'asking price' was €{R_AVPR_07}. This represents a change in average rental 'asking price' of {R_AV_FALL}%. The average property rental 'asking price' in the country is currently (late 2011) €583, down -26% from €790 in 2007. In this area average asking rental prices in 2012 for 2 Beds are €{R_2BT_12}, 3 Beds are €{R_3BS_12} and 4 Beds are €{R_4BB_12} . Also - are there any example of how to include a bar chart/histogram within the pop-up window? hope you can help, many thanks Justin

Hi All, Just wondering if the Google Analytics widget available here http://www.arcgis.com/home/item.html?id=151491cec5be41b5bb5c81dfe63b1669 works for Flex 2.5? It seems to have been developed for 2.2. thanks Justin
