Yes I knew about and have posted the workaround for others. I just thought all of this was finally addressed in 3.5. I know that when a item goes back to hide the values get wiped so i thought it was working now. To be fair there is still no sticky post for us to find out this kind of info. I do not have access to bug lists. I hate to say it Phil but this post kept me up in bed last night. I just convinced another major program here with thousands of users to try 123. My name is now on the line with this group and 3 others. Now I have to tell them about a second round of major bugs - with the real hard part being explaining that it has been a bug for 4+ years and will still not be addressed this year. This is a core function. These things are not trivial as we often defend our data in court. Thanks

Samsung got back to me and they now admit that the Active 2 runs 32 bit Android. No word on when that may change.

We are seeing the default value being populated even when a field is hidden due to a relevant. These should go to blank right? All of these Live should be blank Did it in 3.3 it looks like and still doing it in 3.5. Causing a big data issue for us. Anyone else seeing this? thanks

max only works outside the repeat if I remember right. So you need a hidden field outside the repeat with max in it.

HTML also works in the label in your choices list. I just tried it. <font color="red">This is some text!</font> Also worked in Read only just fine.

This may have came from my post. I use it a lot but it never came up! Now that I think about it maybe once(max() + 1) would work. You have given me something to consider here.

I agree that's what it looks like to me Phil. But when we were on the phone with Samsung they were very insistent that they have customers running 64 bit applications. They were going to have James talk to their tech people. They said it should work. But it sure seems like it is 32 bit.

You are correct. A repeat will always have the + bar at the bottom which makes it hard to work with pages. Depending on your data you could try the new Grid theme. It may allow you to make a table that will work for you instead of pages. Repeats cannot grow inside the table though yet but it may help you.

Sorry I forgot to change all the field names from SpeciesList to species but I guess you got it. Note this does assume your codes are 4-5 characters long. That is why I take off 3 chars then check the string (this is because it will try to check the species you just added). The check for "" was so that users could go backwards without having to delete the current repeat due to the required.

Thanks Phil I just sent you the form. James and I did have a meeting with Samsung. They were going to work together on getting 64 bit to run on the Active 2. That was about a month ago and I have not heard anything yet. Maybe you have heard? I am guessing you have tried 64 bit and have the same issue right? thanks

I am thinking keep a var called CurrentWidth in the repeat and change it as needed. Then base all the calcs off of that. This value should not change 3 repeats back. So if in repeat 1 it was 32 it will stay that way even if you change it in repeat 10. Unless they change something in that particular repeat. If that becomes as issue wrap the calc in the once() function.

I think your issue is the Other. That will repeat a bunch of times. I do this exact thing with species actually. We use Unknown Codes but same concept. You will have to build in an exception for the Other. I did not test it but I added my line into your form. You could change my exceptions from UNK to Other.

Often when people have this issue they are checking the label value and not the Name value. Since you have a space in there I wonder of that is it.
