Yes! The left: 1 property does exactly what I needed. FYI to all: you can't set this to 0. Thanks Derek and Matt! We'll get it fixed so you can set it to zero next update. I think setting it to "0" or 0.1 should work for now.

Yes, use the "left" property. You could modify the left property CSS on the handle and call widget.swipe() as well.

If you're looking for something simple, I'm working on something similar that uses a legend widget for each layer and can be styled. http://driskull.github.io/arcgis-dijit-layer-legend-js/

This dijit will be in the next version of the API but if you need it now, it's on GitHub: https://github.com/driskull/arcgis-dijit-layer-swipe-js http://driskull.github.io/arcgis-dijit-layer-swipe-js/

Awesome. I will add that to the geocoder blur() method for next update.

Hi Patrick, Try using geocoder.inputNode.blur(); and see if that works. If not, you could try focus() on another element that you would like focussed. Let me know if that works. Thanks

Hi Tarig, It seems there is an issue with the template using the HTTPS protocol. We are fixing it and will roll it out in the next update. If you use http, it should work. http://nttagis.maps.arcgis.com/apps/SocialMedia/index.html?appid=9d2fe80649124eacb2a5511546039405 Although, it seems that those twitter results are not geolocated from the searches that I did. -Matt

Hey Matt, You pointed me in the right direction. What I ended up doing is adding this to my css file: .simpleGeocoder .esriGeocoderResults { position:relative; } Now the results show up in the right place 🙂 Thanks! Luci Awesome 🙂 Glad that worked!

Hello, I incorporated the geocoder widget and the results grid ends up being in a weird place. I have the <div>search<div> in a contentpane in an accordioncontainer and the results end up at the bottom of the contentpane instead of right below the search div. Any ideas on how I can customize the css to make it appear in the correct place. Thanks, Luci It seems like putting the geocoder widget inside of another container with a CSS property/value of position:relative; would do the trick. Or you could adjust the CSS of where the results div is positioning to not use absolute positioning.

Unfortunately, It seems YouTube has recently changed their API and broke searching for videos based on location. http://stackoverflow.com/questions/15478741/does-the-youtube-api-geolocation-search-work https://code.google.com/p/gdata-issues/issues/detail?id=4234 https://developers.google.com/youtube/2.0/developers_guide_protocol_api_query_parameters#locationsp

I know this is an older thread, but this link isn't working. I'm getting an error: An error has occurred. Please try again later. I like the way this is styled and want to be able to dig into it, but I'm not getting very far! Here's the latest template: http://www.arcgis.com/home/item.html?id=18230986538047b4b761715f0b5dd913

Really liking the new geocode widget: http://help.arcgis.com/en/webapi/javascript/arcgis/jsapi/geocoder.html#geocoderMenu It pretty much does all the things we after, just wondering how to go about customising it a bit now. For the site I'm working on they need to be able to change the search, which you can do with the geocodeMenu parameter. How would go about moving the dropdown to the right and changing the "Select geocoder" text. Can this be done via CSS? Also is it possible to select all geocoders and a search on all or would you have to create a composite locator? Cheers 🙂 Hey Shaun, There's an option to set your own theme which will add a custom CSS class to the root widget Domnode. You can use that to style the widget however you like or just use the default theme and overwrite the css. The select geocoder text can probably be removed or changed via JavaScript. Searching all geocoders at once would probably require some logic but might not be the best way to go about it. I think the composite locator is a better route. -Matt

I think you should be able to do something like: connect.connect(myGeocoder, "onAutoComplete", function(results){ // modify results var newResults = results; myGeocoder.set('results', newResults); });
