Sam, Esri recently released the patch for Portal for ArcGIS 10.6.1 "Portal for ArcGIS 10.6.1 Pop-up Selected Feature Display Patch'. I installed this patch last night and this patch fixed the jagged geometry display issue I was seeing. This patch specifically addressed the following Bug: BUG-000115859 - When selecting line or polygon features for layers with pop-ups enabled, the selection symbology does not match the actual feature geometry.

I am using Operations Dashboard in ArcGIS Enterprise 10.6.1. When I add the a Date Selector to a Left Panel, I see three Selector Option Types: 1) Defined Options; 2) Date Picker; and 3) Advanced. When I add a Date Selector to the Header Panel, the Advanced option is not provided. Why is the Advanced option not available with the Date Selector with the Header Panel?

I recently upgraded our ArcGIS Enterprise installation from 10.6.0 to 10.6.1. After the upgrade, we found that in the browser based applications (e.g. the Portal Map Viewer, Web App Builder applications) the geometry for selected features for some of our key GIS layers get rendered incorrectly at larger map scales. The source of the features are Map Services provided by ArcGIS Server. The drawing or rendering issue appears at around AGOL map scales of 1:2,257 and larger. Polygons get rendered incorrectly as jagged lines and it appears that many of the vertices are dropped from the rendered polygon. Some vertices for selected linear features also appear to be dropped causing the selected linear feature to be drawn with an offset. This rendering and drawing issue with 10.6.1 does not effect our layers with simpler geometry but does seem to effect layers with a very large number of vertices present in the underlying polygon or linear features. The first attachment provides an example of the rendering/drawing problem with a selected feature. The second attachment show the large number of vertices present for the shapes in the source polygon feature class. This rendering/drawing issue did not occur with previous versions of ArcGIS Enterprise 10.5.1 and 10.6.0 that we have used and does not occur with the Map Viewer and Web AppBuilder applications used with ArcGIS Online.

Theodore, No, the issue has not been resolved yet. Andrew Valenski above offered to provide some additional troubleshooting steps. Due to the black box nature of the Data Store, Esri's tech support solution was for me to completely reinstall all of the components of ArcGIS Enterprise. The parts of ArcGIS Enterprise 10.6 we are currently using are working just fine. I had to put this issue aside for the moment because I had to move on to some other tasks. Likely I will need to revisit this issue again in the very near future.

1. Yes, the file 'agsdatastore.ks' exists. The file has the Date Modified date of when I originally installed the Data Store software. 2. Permissions. I am currently using a local user account, arcgis, to run the ArcGIS Data Store service. This 'arcgis' user account has Full Control on the C:\Program Files\ArcGIS\DataStore folder and Inheritance is enabled. 3. Error Message. I am not finding the error message "Unable to import certificate" in any of the Data Store log files found under D:\arcgisdatastore\logs\<machine name> . I am only seeing the error message as part of the error message output from running the updatesslcertificate utility from the Command Line.

Andrew, I am running the updatesslcertificate using a Windows Domain Account that is a member of the Local Administrators Group on the location machine. I am running the command while logged into the machine via Remote Desktop. This Domain user account is the same account that was originally used to install Portal for ArcGIS, ArcGIS Server, and Data Store on the machine. The machine is running Windows 2016 server with IIS for the webserver software. When I go into the Microsoft Management Console (MMC) Certificate Manager, I see my commercial certificate issued for the machine listed under Certificates (Local Computers) > Personal > Certificates. Under Trusted Root Certification Authorities > Certificates, I see four Root certificates listed for the commercial certificate vendor.

Using ArcGIS Server Manager, I am not seeing any errors generated in the log files for the Data Store. I am just seeing the error message "Error encountered: Machine 'https://<server name>:2443/arcgis/datastoreadmin' returned an error. 'Unable to import certificate' when I run the Data Store "updatesslcertificate" utility. The only other item I have noticed is that every time I run the "updatesslcertificate" utility, a file of the form "agsdatastore.ks.20180424011020477" gets generated under the Data Store C:\Program Files\ArcGIS\DataStore\etc\ssl directory and that the update date of the agsdatastore.ks file does not change. --Will

I am attempting to replace the Data Store self-signed certificate with my commercial certificate using the Data Store "updatesslcertificate" utility. When I run the utility, I receive the following error: "Error encountered: Machine 'https://<server name>:2443/arcgis/datastoreadmin' returned an error. 'Unable to import certificate'. My certificate is in the .pfx format and was imported into and is being used successfully with Portal and Server so I don't believe there is anything wrong with my commercial certificate. I am not finding anything to troubleshoot this particular issue.

When I tried to use the Geocode Locations from Table tool, I received the error "Mapping locator fields with input data fields failed". With the Drag and Drop method to the Map Viewer, the Map Viewer was not picking up any of the field found in my input CSV file. The Portal Administrator logs show the following error "Error in generate feature service https://<server name>:6443/arcgis/rest/services/System/PublishingTools/GPServer/Generate%20Features%20for%20Portal.Server tool execution failed : ERROR 001508: Request to geocode service failed (made as part of generate or publish). Failed to execute (Generate Features for Portal). Failed. Failed to execute (Generate Features for Portal). Failed.” After further attempts I believe I have found a solution to my particular problem. Both the Drag & Drop method and Geocde Locations from Table tool method will work with my user defined Composite Address Locator geocoding service IF I modify the Composite Locator properties with ArcCatalog so that both the Input Address Fields and Input Mapping fields are explicitly set for the composite locator. The documentation in ArcGIS Desktop for the requirements for the Input Address Fields and Input Mapping fields is very scant and additional documentation that describes the purposes of these two property settings would be most helpful.

I have implemented ArcGIS Enterprise version 10.6 onsite at our organization. I have set up the Portal to use our own geocoding services published from a version 10.6 Composite Address Locator using our own Address Point and Street Centerline GIS layers. The first locator uses the US Single House Addresses style and the 2nd locator uses the US Dual Range Addresses Style. With the Portal, I have tried to use two methods to batch geocode a small table of addresses: Method 1: Drag and Drop the table in .CSV format to the Map Viewer application; or 2) use the Map Viewer's Analysis > Geocode Locations from Table tool. Both methods are failing. Has anyone had any success using the Portal's batch geocoding tools to geocode a table of addresses using your own user defined geocoding service?

I have a set of feature classes in our organization that I wish to publish to ArcGIS Online. I need to be aware of the Data Storage Credits that will be consumed in ArcGIS Online for the storage of these feature classes as hosted feature services. I am noticing that the amount of data storage for a given feature service in AGOL is on the order of 2.8 times greater as compared to the amount of disk space consumed in a File Geodatabase. For example, I have a feature class that requires 38 Mbytes in a File Geodatabase and 88 Mbytes in a Personal Geodatabase. When the same feature class is published to ArcGIS Online as a feature service, the amount of data storage required is being reported as 106 Mbytes. If one has their set of feature classes in a File Geodatabase, is there a method of estimating the amount of data storage needed to store these same feature classes as feature services in ArcGIS Online?

Chelsea, Back on August 29, 2016, I submitted a Case to Esri regarding this issue: "Case# 01822032 Web App Builder Search Widget incorrectly returning results in Ascending Order by Match Score". A bug/enhancement request was generated off of this case " #ENH-000096113 [Enhancement] Through Web AppBuilder's Search widget, allow for the option to disable distance and location parameters from being automatically added to the find address candidates request when searching for an address or place using a custom geocode service". I don't know if any of my submissions had any effect, but I am no longer seeing this incorrect behavior with the results from a Composite Locator being returned by the AGOL Web App's Search Widget. I am currently getting the correct results returned. See the screen snapshot below for an example of results returned from the AGOL Web App Search Widget using an ArcGIS Server Composite Locator Geocoding Service. The source data is a Composite Locator in a 10.3.1 File Geodatabase published to ArcGIS Server version 10.4.1.

Subject: Web App Builder Search Widget NOT returning correct results with a 10.4.1 Composite Locator for some input street intersections: With our ArcGIS Online Web App Builder Applications, we use a Composite Address Locator geocoding service published from ArcGIS Server version 10.3.1. Within the past month or so, the behavior of the Web App Builder Search Widget has changed to that the Search results are returned to the widget apparently in ASCENDING order by Match Score instead of the traditional sorting of the match results in DESCENDING order by Match Score. The result of this change, is that when a user initiates a Search, the widget incorrectly selects and zooms in the map to the candidate with the LOWEST score! This incorrect, broken behavior is partially improved if one uses a Composite Locator published with ArcGIS Server 10.4.1. However, even with a 10.4.1 Composite Locator, the Web App Builder Search widget still incorrectly generates just wrong combinations of candidates for some input street intersections. For example, in our community, if the intersection "20TH ST & 27TH AVE" is entered, the Search Widget correctly returns ONE result. However, if I enter "7TH AVE & 12TH ST", then the Search Widget is returning such combinations as "79TH CT & 128TH ST" and "78TH AV & 126TH ST". If the match results were returned in DESCENDING order by Match Results like they have ALWAYS been handled by ArcView 3.x and ArcMap 9.x, and ArcMap 10.x, then the Web App Builder Search Widget would have a chance at returning the correct results.
