Yes and then you can converted to Annotation and fix them and that is what I am doing right now... When I am done I will re-screenshot the map and share with anyone...

I think there must be a way around to do this, so I spent some time figuring it out and found what this works... You do need to change the placement properties to set Street Placement and set it to Centered Straight. Here is the screenshot So the only two problem is the Lower Last Chance and Peek a Boo that still showed expanded boxes...

One thing I forgot about is the Annotation. Would that be possible if I convert it to Annotation and would that Background work ?

How do I keep all the boxes inside of the labels to follow align with the labels... Each line has their own name and were set up as a Regular Placement but set to Curved position. The text symbol I set to as a text background to black and white. I am working on this for the Ski Cooper Ski Trails out in Colorado. Problem is the Boxes does not align with the labels and how do I fix it ? Thank you.

The only thing the link you send it to me at the beginning did not mention how to correct from pixel to smooth vectorized. Because when you add the PNG to the Symbol and it doesn't smooth the pixel, so that is another issue I am dealing with.

I do not recommend using PNG, since there is no way around to transparent in the background. My suggest to you or anyone who struggle like me....The best way to do is open MS Word and use the Insert Pictures. When it brings the picture to MS Word, you will see "Layout Options around the pictures. I would leave that alone and just right click on it to "Save as Pictures" as BMP file. Then you can go back to Styles Manager and create a new symbol and bring it in and the picture show transparent in background. This works very well. When I cropped each image above I showed at the beginning of my post, I saved them in PNG. There was no way around to remove unless you have an image editor software or program and it does that.. For those who don't have that kind of software, then MS Word is the way to go... Cheers,

Thank you and I would have to agree with you on Paint. My computer has no Image Editing software and yes I have MS PowerPoint. The one I have at home is Corel PaintShop Pro X9. I have used Photoshop in the past but do not have them on my computer at work and home. I have looked around the free Image Editor software such as Inkscape, GIMP, etc...

I have asked to make several symbology for the Range Improvement for the points and Lines layers and what I would like to use them into ArcMap and Can you tell me how can I insert them into ArcMap. I am sure they would appreciate if I can work on them. I think what it would be easier for me to create them through the Style Manager ? Does anyone have any suggest me to do this way ??? Can I make them into Font and save it in Windows ? I am not sure if this will work or not but.... I'd like to get feedback from you all Here is the screenshot :

I am sure everyone is aware about this. How do you increase your symbols in the legend ? I am using ArcGIS 10.3.1 and I am not sure about the newer version ( I will be getting the 10.5 in a few months). I am not sure if this is already fixed for the new version but for those who struggle to do this... There is a topic about this on the GIS StackExchange that I have been searching for a solution.... ArcGIS 10.1 Legend - Increase Icon on legend without increase on map - Geographic Information Systems Stack Exchange My suggest to you is to : 1) Add the Data Frame as a second one. Label it as a "For Legend Only" 2) Copy the layers to be use for the legend. 3) Keep the Data Frame out of the Layout View... 4) Fix the symbol while you are in the Second Data Frame... So it doesn't mess up your symbols in the First Data Frame.. 5) When you are done, insert each or all of your layers 6) Move them to your Layout View . I hope that helps for everyone out there... Happy Mapping ! P.S. If you have any other way around to do this , please make any comments...
