Eric Nutter We can not see the image you attempted to post. You'll need to actually upload it rather than giving a link. Suspect though that in your case, you've installed the wrong version of ArcHydro Tools. ArcHydro Tools 2.0 is not the correct build for ArcGIS for Desktop 10.2.2, for that you need ArcHydro 10.2 See this thread -- Arc Hydro Setup Versions for http web delivered builds. Or use the MFT site as in this thread -- New password for Arc Hydro ftp Site - September, 5 2014 Stuart

One of my favorite topics... If you open the Shape File and look at the data, you'll see that the precipitation reports include the HRAP grid cell, meaning that the Point feature in the shape file is only an estimate of the center point of each HRAP grid cell. The HRAP grid is drawn from the NWS LFM (Limited Fine Mesh) projection--at 1/40th. This image (Reed & Maidment, 1999) shows the full LFM for CONUS used by NEXRAD reporting in a finer HRAP grid in units 1/40th of LFM. Some discussion in this old Forums thread HRAP (Hydrologic Rainfall Analysis Projection) Transformation I've uploaded a copy of R. Fulton WSR-88D Polar-toHRAP Mapping paper here -- Fulton1998_WSR88D-to-HRAP_mapping.pdf What you really should track down is the Reed & Maidment article "Coordinate Transformations for using NEXRAD Data in GIS-Based Hydrologic Modeling" in the Journal of Hydrologic Engineering. 1999.4:174-182

NWS Hydrologic Research Lab, R. Fulton Technical Memorandum regards mapping of the WSR-88D (NEXRAD) rainfall estimates onto the HRAP reviewers of this document should also consult the Reed & Maidment article "Coordinate Transformations for using NEXRAD Data in GIS-Based Hydrologic Modeling" in the Journal of Hydrologic Engineering. 1999.4:174-182 for additional understanding of the HRAP and how NEXRAD rainfall estimates can be transformed for use in GIS as well as describing distortions in area (and hence precipitation volume) caused by spherical rather than ellipsoidal projection.

Joe Flannery, *, Right you are! But actually, having the options_file_path in the VENDOR line is not required when used, but only IF as the 10.2 Help indicates you "Save the file as ARCGIS.opt in the ArcGIS License Manager installation location." But then you are depending on a "defaults" behavior--and I'd agree that fully specifying it as you indicate is probably still a sound practice. Otherwise the .opt file can be located anywhere--but it must then be fully specified on the VENDOR line. From the VENDOR Lines entry in the FlexNet Publisher License Admin 11.11.1 manual: Field Description options_file_path Full path to the options file for this daemon. An options file is not required. If omitted, the vendor daemon, by default, looks for a file called vendor.opt (where vendor is the vendor daemon name) located in the same directory as the license file. Stuart

Janice Mock, Justin Shedd A bit additional to my earlier note. If one or both of you are actually not able to access the File --> Sign In, or the File --> ArcGIS Online... items in ArcMAP, or can not get a connection to take, it could be a WinINET Proxy setting issue with your internet connections. See this Esri Support blog from Lucas Danzinger -- Troubleshooting issues adding ArcGIS Online basemaps to ArcMap and perhaps this GeoNet discussion https://community.esri.com/message/388164#388164, Seems that many have resolved their AGOL access issues by clearing the default WinINET Proxy automatic configuration settings, done from within Internet Explorer's Tools --> Internet Options --> Connections --> LAN Settings --> Automatic Configuration: and clearing the "Automatically detect settings" checkbox. That adjustment can also be done directly in the Windows registry per user with a DWORD (32-bit) at HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Internet Settings\AutoDetect set 0=disabled, set 1=enabled The DWORD will be processed (i.e., the AutoDetect value will be removed on next visit to the Key) and will assert a bitwise value in the 9th byte position of the binary value HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Internet Settings\Connections\DefaultConnectionsSettings The 9th byte will show a 09 if the checkbox is set, or a 01 if cleared. The usual caveats to be careful and back it up first if working directly in the Widows Registry. So, try toggling the "Automatically detect settings" value, see if it clears things up. --refs-- http://blog.raido.be/?p=426 http://stackoverflow.com/questions/1674119/what-key-in-windows-registry-disables-ie-connection-parameter-automatically-det

Janice Mock, Justin Shedd Before you can add data from AGOL, you have to sign-in to it from within ArcMap, done from the drop down File menu. And that is a two step process... sign-in, and then launch the AGOL dialog window. Steps are in this online Help: Signing in to ArcGIS Online in ArcGIS for Desktop applications and once the sign-in completes, use the File --> "ArcGIS Online..." button and you should see an ArcGIS Online dialog as in the Help item: Using ArcGIS Online in ArcGIS for Desktop applications Once the dialog opens, it will show "featured" content. Best for finding content if you run a search, but first will need to uncheck the "Only Search in [your AGOL organization]" check box. Stuart

Miranda Eckert Glad you got it sorted. Suggest you go ahead and "follow" the Arc Hydro, the Arc Hydro and the Hydro places. And possibly the GIS for Water Resources group. Stuart p/s Suggest you move this from your personal Discussions to the Hydro space, done from the ACTIONS menu Move item on the right. Others there will benefit from this and any additional comments.

Lindy Norén, We'll see if we can help you. But first we need some details about your OSX and the version of Windows that you have installed as there are a number of requirements that you must verify are met. Please let us know the version of OSX, are you on a Retina display? Have you install VMWare Fusion or Parallels? Is this an attempt to run using WineBottler or another emulation? Stuart
