Hi Mervyn, Thank you for reporting the issue. I've reproduced and logged a new defect report: BUG-000120043: The incorrect layer's table is opened when selecting related records in ArcGIS Pro. Workaround: Move the non-related layer under the layer that participates in the relate in the Contents pane. Our developers will review this defect to determine further action to address this issue. Please contact Esri Technical Support if you'd like to track the status of the defect. Esri Support 888-377-4575 Esri Support Contact Support

Hi Mervyn, Is the landuse feature class the origin or destination within the relationship class? You can find out by looking at the properties of the relationship class itself. You say "if I include layers files that reference the same feature class within my Contents pane" - to clarify, does the layer file reference the landuse feature class or another feature class that's part of the relationship? Tell us more about the relationship: is it a 1:1, 1:M? does lanuse relate to a table or another feature class? You say "then the relate fails and displays one of the layer files in the relate table heading but with no data." - how are you working with the relate? In the attribute table, or somewhere else? When you created the layer file, did you turn off fields or change field aliases or make any other modifications to the layer before creating the file on disk? Can you post some screenshots to help clarify these things? Thanks for any additional clarification. -Scott

Hi Princejonathan, This is something that Esri Technical Support can help investigate. Are you able to create a case with Support? - https://support.esri.com/en/contact-tech-support I've tried to reproduce the behavior you are reporting in 2.3, but so far, I can't. Does the Check Geometry geoprocessing tool report any issues? - Check Geometry—Data Management toolbox | ArcGIS Desktop Does it occur with certain features or all features? What's the reproducible pattern? Thank you! -Scott

Have you seen this: ProConcepts Advanced Topics · Esri/arcgis-pro-sdk Wiki · GitHub Perhaps you need to set an Admin well-known folder registry key? Also see: ArcGIS Pro Registry Keys · Esri/arcgis-pro-sdk Wiki · GitHub

Hi Scott, Ok so that's good. We'd still like to get to the bottom of it. It's probably best if we work through a Support case, but here are the type of questions I would ask: Can you import (you can use copy/paste) the problem feature class into the working File Geodatabase? Does it still exhibit the editing issue? Was the problem geodatabase a Project File Geodatabase (FGDB) that was part of the last ArcGIS Pro Project you worked on before upgrading to 2.3? Do any other Project FGDB's have the same problem? Thanks for any further insight. -Scott

Hi Scott, I'll mention the same thing I said to Liam: Please open a case with Esri Technical Support. The phone number is 888-377-4575. Please let me know once you have an open case, or if you hit any roadblocks. Liam didn't see the issue in another File Geodatabase. Do you see the same problem in different or newly created File Geodatabase? Thank you, -Scott

Hi Mitchell, You can use the Add Geometry Attributes geoprocessing tool: Add Geometry Attributes—Data Management toolbox | ArcGIS Desktop These are the attributes you probably want: POINT_X: The x-coordinate of the point. POINT_Y: The y-coordinate of the point. POINT_Z: The z-coordinate of the point. This field is only added if the input features are z-enabled. POINT_M: The m-coordinate of the point. This field is only added if the input features are m-enabled. -Scott

In researching the errors in the error log you posted, we've seen cases where this error occurs when a user doesn't have the latest version of Pro available in My Esri. This can probably be resolved by contacting Esri Customer Service at 1 (888) 377-4575.

I looked for such a list, but I'm not seeing anything. Dalinda should reach out to Esri Technical Support at 888-377-4575 to find out if we can produce such a list. You may be able to use Process Monitor or Process Explorer to give you an answer; however, I imagine you would have to use the software in such a way that all possible subprocesses are captured. -Scott

Hi Liam, I'm glad you have a way forward; however, I think it would be worthwhile for us to look further into the issue - if you are willing, of course. It's probably best if we did this by opening a case with Esri Technical Support. The phone number is 888-377-4575. Please let me know once you have an open case, or if you hit any roadblocks. Thank you, Scott

Thanks for the reply, Liam. That is definitely odd behavior. A few more questions: Is the issue specific to a certain File Geodatabase (FGDB) or does it occur in all FGDBs? If so, when and how was the FGDB created? Where it it sourced on disk (local drive or network location)? Do you have ArcMap installed on your machine? (Perhaps you can test with it too) Do you have another machine you can try it on? If we can't get to the bottom of it here in a decent time frame, please call Esri Technical Support at 888-377-4575. -Scott
