Hi @BrendanMcCann I'm changing the status of this Idea to "Already Offered", since this can be accomplished using the Transform tool. For example... Before: After: Help on this: https://pro.arcgis.com/en/pro-app/latest/help/editing/transform-a-feature.htm As Kory already pointed out, Scale is limited to 2 directions. Transform is designed to handle scaling multiple features in any direction, while also letting you set anchor points. Let me know if this works for you. Thanks, Scott

In ArcGIS Pro, the Copy Parallel tool does retain z-values of the source lines. We have a backlog item for having all modify tools honor the current z control (whether that’s a surface or a constant value). As far as having the tools ignore z’s, that might be useful too. For now, the best way to remove z’s is in Edit Vertices: in the grid, CTRL+A (select all) > click ‘Update Z Values’ > set to 0. Thanks, Scott

Hi Josh, Preset templates have been in Pro since 1.0 I think 🙂 They are only available in Pro and not ArcMap though. Create a preset template - https://pro.arcgis.com/en/pro-app/latest/help/editing/create-a-preset-template.htm

Hi @TylerPease Along with what @jcarlson said, here are a few other suggestions: 1. Create preset templates for each building type (see gif below). You can optionally set the 'Point with rotation' tool (new at 2.7) as the default tool for the preset template. If you need to scale the building after placing it, use the scale tool. 2. If the new feature already exists, you can use Replace Geometry followed by Replace Sketch (see gif). In the gif, I move the new feature by dragging the first vertex. You can also scale the feature by dragging the last vertex (as long as stretch proportionately is enabled on the edit toolbar at the bottom). 3. Use Transfer Attributes tool and map the geometry field as outlined here: https://community.esri.com/t5/arcgis-pro-questions/geometry-transfer-in-arcgis-pro/m-p/1016232#M35938 I hope this helps, Scott

This video is not exactly what you are asking for, but it might be a starting point for getting there: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ueckrlhto0Q

@BrandonVan_Horn No problem. Thanks for reporting it. Regarding the workaround: I'm not seeing where attributes of multiple features are lost when pasting into a template. In the GIF below, I'm pasting multiple selected features from 3 different layers into a template. The subtype is correctly assigned (based on the chosen template) and a different field (driving the labels) maintains the original attributes. Is there something different about your workflow?

Hi @BrandonVan_Horn UPDATE: I can reproduce the issue now. It's related to pasting values into a layer that contains a subtype field. The subtype is assigned a value from the first template for the target layer instead of the copied value from the source layer. A workaround that you can try to use is to copy and paste into a template instead of a layer: It should assign the correct subtype using this method. Thanks for reporting this, and it will be fixed in the next release. -Scott

Oh, I see now from the GIF, you have subtypes on the target layer and that could be where the "A" came from. Hmm...

Hi @BrandonVan_Horn If the field names match, then I wouldn't expect to have to set up Field Mapping - and so far, I can't reproduce problem in 2.7. One thing I don't understand about your screenshot: FLD_ZONE has a value of "D" in the table on the left and "A" in the table on the right. If the software was ignoring the "Keep source attribute values checkbox", I would expect null values in the right table (the target), not "A" So the mystery to me is where did the "A" come from? One idea: Could it have came from an expression set up in the Field Mapping? I tried to replicate the schema you have and this is the expression that is automatically generated for me (note that I am on the Expression tab of the Field Mapping settings): What does the expression look like for you? Thanks, Scott

Hi @BrandonVan_Horn Is Field Mapping set up correctly between the two layers? In the screenshot below I have Field Mapping settings open and the fields (A,B,C) from 2 layers (table_A and table_B) are matched up. FYI - circled in red in the screenshot is the launcher button that opens up these settings: Documentation links: https://pro.arcgis.com/en/pro-app/latest/help/editing/copy-and-paste-using-the-clipboard.htm#ESRI_SECTION1_6D850E50B3B04EDEACD8461459E1B310 https://pro.arcgis.com/en/pro-app/latest/help/editing/configure-field-mapping.htm Thanks, Scott

Hi @Göran Please correct me if I'm wrong, but based on what you say here: "I can't see any options to reorder the templates to get the templates I use most frequently on the top (or whereever I want them). Theres no guarantee the drawing order is the most logical order for creating features." It sounds like some (maybe all) of this can be addressed by using Favorite Feature Templates The Favorites tab on the Create Features pane allows you to reorder feature templates and place them into folders, if needed. Here's a quick demo: So after you've set up your favorite templates, you can use the Favorites tab of the Create Features pane (instead of the Templates tab) when you need to create features on a map. Does that help? Thanks, Scott

Regarding #1 @Göran Can you please provide more details on what is desired regarding managing templates? We currently have the ability to filter for layers that are missing templates (or not) Regarding #2 We made some performance improvements for manage templates at 2.7 (coming very soon). Thanks, Scott
