Hi, What version of Portal are you using? Have you tried to publish any other SLPKs to narrow down if it is data specific? Also, it would be good to check the server logs as there might be more details there. https://enterprise.arcgis.com/en/server/latest/administer/linux/work-with-server-logs.htm thanks, -Andrew

Hi, This is expected behavior and has always been the behavior for multipatch feature layers. They must use an absolute height elevation setting prior to being run through the Create 3D Object Scene Layer Package tool. thanks, Andrew

Hi Gauthier, I just wanted to follow up and let you know that the code had to be rewritten to better handle a lot of these cases that we are seeing where the data is not properly output by various 3rd party software. It doesn't look like it'll make it in to 2.4 but possibly for a follow up patch and for sure in 2.5. In the meantime once the importer has been finalized I will rerun your dataset and get the slpk to you. Thanks for your patience on this! -Andrew

Hi Dirk, I don't see any sample OSGB output data so ill see if I can generate some from a trial version of the software. I'll report back once I have some more information. thanks, Andrew

Hi Dirk, Are you able to share the dataset with us? Unfortunately without inspecting the dataset we will not be able to know for 100% certainty if this is a naming issue or some other issue. thanks, Andrew

Hi Mike, I imported this back into ArcGIS Pro and it displays just fine. The issue here is that it is a local scene. ArcGIS Runtime only supports global scenes so all you need to do is recreate the mobile scene package using a global scene as input to the GP tool. Let me know if you have any other problems. thanks, Andrew

Hi Thanks for your patience on this. Our developer was traveling so he just had a chance to look at this yesterday. It looks like there are variety of issues at play here 1) It doesn’t conform to the well-known naming convention we use (such as the ones context capture generates as below) Tile_+010_+023.osgb == > naming here doesn’t matter but child osgb files need to indicate the Level they are (L_15, L_16, if they don’t have ‘L_’ they will be presumed root) Tile_+010_+023_L15_0.osgb Tile_+010_+023_L16_00.osgb Tile_+010_+023_L17_000.osgb Tile_+010_+023_L18_0000t4.osgb Tile_+010_+023_L19_00000t3.osgb Tile_+010_+023_L19_00010t3.osgb 2) We expect children of osg.Node to be osg.PagedLOD ; in this case the root node (Rame.osgb) has a nested osg child node 3) Normals need to be recomputed 4) Some of the faces seem to be inverted Moving forward we are implementing some fixes in ArcGIS Pro 2.4 to handle these unexpected cases. We will also work with Agisoft directly to ensure the correct information is being output to the OSGB files. Here's a screenshot of a SLPK that we created and once we do some additional testing with the fixes I can provide this SLPK to you.

Hi Niels, We investigated this and it looks like there is a lot of z-fighting occurring with this particular dataset. In 2.4 we enhanced the tool to better handle these types of situations. As of right now the only way to remedy this is to utilize the new enhancements at 2.4. ArcGIS Pro 2.4 will be released in June. If you want a deep dive on the i3s specification the doc can be found here https://github.com/Esri/i3s-spec/blob/master/format/Indexed%203d%20Scene%20Layer%20Format%20Specification.md Please let me know if you have any additional questions. thanks, Andrew

We've made some enhancements under the hood in 2.4 so I went ahead and created the slpk in 2.4 and consumed it in ArcGIS Pro and the Scene Viewer in ArcGIS Online and it looks significantly better. I attached the slpk. Can you take a look and confirm that everything looks good? thanks, Andrew

Hi Greg, I wanted to close the loop on this. We just installed the fix for this in ArcGIS Pro 2.4 which will be released in June. The behavior for the attribute to cache to disappear from the choice list is expected as we don't want the user to deselect that attribute as it is the currently applied renderer. The bug was in regards to that renderer not being passed to the exporter to create the scene layer package. To recap, you will still see that option missing from the attribute to cache choice list but it will be written out to the slpk so when you consume the slpk you will see the expected renderer. thanks, Andrew

Yes that does help! Please note none of our scene layer tools support creating scene layers with a custom coordinate system. We require a well known id (WKID) but we do have it in our backlog to support custom coordinate systems. We are planning on getting this work done either in 2.4 or 2.5. Regardless, this isn't the cause of the problem as I can reproduce this problem on my end using an anchor point with a projected coordinate system. Our developer has a utility that can interrogate the binary file to determine whether or not its written out properly by Photoscan. We recently discovered an issue where ContextCapture was not writing out the child nodes properly in the root nodes leading to failures in our tool so in these situations it is difficult to know the exact cause until the osgb file can be interrogated. Our developer is traveling this week so there may be a delay in getting back to you but i'll reach out as soon as I have more information. thanks, Andrew

Thanks for this information and for sharing the data. One more follow up question, when you say local coordinate system do you mean custom coordinate system or just a local projected coordinate system? thanks, Andrew
