Same here. Something has happened. I can see these services in the WebMap in ArcGIS Online that is being used in the Operations Dashboard. I can also see the services within the Web version of Operations Dashboard for ArcGIS - but the Windows application pops up these warnings for all of the NOWCAST REST services like this one: nowcoast/radar_meteo_imagery_nexrad_time (MapServer) --Adam

Hello All, I am wondering if anyone else is having this problem. Operations Dashboards created within our Portal and viewed in the Windows application are randomly not displaying any of the default ArcGIS basemaps. Once it stops displaying the basemaps, it seems that it stays that way for awhile. Open it two hours later, and they work. They might stop working though.... Thanks, Adam

Hi again Jonathan, Through one of those links, I quickly realized that I needed to define the time zone (and daylight savings adjustment) for the data layer within ArcGIS Pro before publishing it as a Web Layer. I just have to make sure that I am applying daylight savings for the given dataset if required - AND - make sure that no datasets span through a transition into or out of daylight savings time! This fixes everything. Thank you for the help! --Adam

Hi Jonathan, I don't think that this is the case, as it would then be five hours off. I'll get those articles read though. Thanks for the help! --Adam

Hi All, In animations, is there any way to create keyframe camera locations with a point feature class? I am looking to make quick AVL replays packaged in MP4 format. It is very tedious to pan the map to each captured vehicle location and make a keyframe for each one manually. Thanks! --Adam

Hello, I am attempting to publish a time enabled Map Image Layer into Portal for ArcGIS from ArcGIS Pro. I am referencing data published in an SDE. It publishes fine, and the resulting layer can be added to a Web Map with the time slider immediately available. When I look at the attributes of the service, the times have been adjusted plus one hour. Why does this happen and how can I fix it? Thank you, --Adam

Just for clarification, I am not using multiple web adaptors for one portal installation, I am using one WA for Portal, one WA for AGS/GeoEvent and one WA for the non-GeoEvent AGS (federated with portal). Granted, my whole installation is going to change soon. Sorry for the mess that this thread may have started.

Dan, Actually, I cannot. Since this thread was active, I am sad to say that many of the features have failed and are not currently working. There were a few bugs found in the software, but honestly, I am convinced now that the way we set this up is the main reason for the failure. I will be talking to esri very soon about implementing 10.5 along with anonymous access to publicly available content. There are instructions on adding multiple Web Adaptors via multiple Web URLs. The two that I have working right now are /arcgis and /realtime, like in the link I mentioned above: https://community.esri.com/external-link.jspa?url=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.arcgis.com%2Fhome%2Fitem.html%3Fid%3D870b1bf0ad17472497b… .

Hi Katie Cullen, I tried that a few times and it didn't work correctly. Then I read your reply - and tried it again... That time, it worked! You're magical! I may have used a differently formatted CSV. I will have to check. Thank you, --Adam

I am looking for the easiest way to get AVL data stored as CSV into ArcGIS Online or Portal for ArcGIS and make the resulting Feature Layer time enabled so that they may use the time slider - all completed by a non-GIS user. I have not been able to either drop a CSV file into a Web Map or "Add Item" "From my computer" and have anything interpret the correctly formatted field as a Date/Time field. After searching here and in documentation, I am finding nothing on the topic. I am guessing that I will have to somehow create a service that will ingest the CSV, convert the CSV to a Feature Class, define fields and then publish to Portal as a Feature Layer (with the current user's account so that it appears in their content). I could give it a shot - but how to expose the service to the user...? The user would then have to add resulting Feature Layer to a Web Map, symbolize, configure attributes and then enable the time slider. Messy, but I think I can train this AND it might not be too much for the users to put up with. Am I heading in the right direction with this? Thanks, --Adam

As Operations Dashboard for ArcGIS is the flagship for a number of AVL end-user solutions, Stream Services should be available with full capabilities, i.e. selection, follow, filter, and available within other widgets.

I am also finding that any "search for layers" add to a web map are not following permissions correctly. I recently created a Web Map that I gave group permissions to. All layers that were added through the "search for layers" method and were NOT "everyone" shared were unable to be seen by people who DID have permission to see those layers. The people with permission saw the "Connectivity Issues" for all secured services. When I reconfigured the Web Map with the "Add layer from Web" interface and their REST links, those users could see the services with no problem.
