I have a website where the landing page (index.html) has an iframe where I load a Cascade Story Map. On desktop, everything behaves as you would expect- first slide loads, the down arrow appears, and you can scroll down to begin exploring the story map. If I load the website on my iPhone (or emulator in Chrome), the page loads as does the Story map within in the iframe. Unlike the desktop experience, the mobile load adds a "Tap to read full story" and doing so loads the Story Map in a new browser tab. This is not what I want. Is there any way to have the mobile load behave the same as desktop where the user can just begin scrolling down to go through the Story Map but STAY on my website? Do I need to request this as an ArcGIS Idea? Is there some sort of issue since I'm loading it inside an iframe? Site with embedded story map Steve

Feel a bit dumb that I just didn't try that outright. I am a little surprised that the default isn't HTTPS. Anyways, thanks!

With any hosted layers, there is an option to convert the URL from HTTP to HTTPS but I'm not seeing an equivalent for doing this to an Web Mapping Applications built within AGOL. How do I get an URL that is HTTPS? I want to embed my application using an Iframe on a site that is HTTPS and the map is currently blocked because it's HTTP. Thanks! Steve

It looks to me like a 2 slide Cascade Story Map with the Map Tour embedded on the second slide. I don't know how to create the "Click to Start" button at the bottom, though.

I don't see a preview button from the edit mode of a Photo Tour Map. The only buttons present are SAVE | SHARE | SETTINGS | HELP. Maybe I'm in the minority but I'd like to have a breadcrumb or method to return to my AGOL account from the builder mode. Also, specific to the Cascade Story Map, it would be nice if there was a second line of small text (left/right justified at the bottom) to allow you to place a photo credit for a photo used as a background in a title pane.

Spent some quality time this weekend working on a story maps project (Cascade and tour variants). When viewing your story map, there's a button to begin editing the story maps but there's no button to STOP editing. Why is that? Your only option to stop editing is to close the tab of the story map which drops you out of your AGOL account dashboard which is frustrating and not efficient.

You might end up having to create a new attribute field and then populating it by concatenating the other fields you're interested in. Once that's done, symbolize based on the new concatenated field.

Thanks. Looks like I'll stick with Arcmap. For your preview image, why would you add a second line in the context menu? Make that a side menu off of "Copy Coordinates" option and make the default units the same as the map units.

So, not surprisingly, there are no references to this functionality in the online Help for ArcGIS Pro (it's only listed in the What's New documentation). What coordinates does it return- the native coordinates of the current data/projection or can you specify what coordinate system you want? For example, our data is in a State Plane coordinate system but I frequently need to get the lat/long of a location because that is what's required when communicating our needs with other agencies. In my situation, if the data frame coordinate system is a state plane, do I just get state plane coordinates using this tool or can I specify decimal degrees or degrees minutes seconds as the desired coordinates? This is default behavior in Arcmap, BTW.

When I look at the data, its rotating based on the PROBWINDDD field. That field is a string field. Maybe AGOL requires that to be a numeric field?..

My every expanding list has some duplicates with Dan but here's my list why I haven't bothered using ArcGIS Pro: * Can't show vertices during editing using the V key shortcut. * Can't export to Illustrator format. * Can't create folder connection to root level of drive * Can't move callout leader line anchor point independantly of the entire callout. * Can't open program without having to create a project. * Can't pause drawing. * Doesn't support personal GeoDbs. * Can't calculate geometry as right-click option in table view. * Can't do Summary Statistics, right-click in Arcmap style. * Can't copy/paste features * Can't clip map data frame to a shape * Can't get x,y coordinates for location clicked using the identify tool * Can't individually label features like Arcmap * Can't copy features parallel * No Eye Dropper Tool * Can't split features by percentage/length/equal number of parts * Can't nudge item locations using arrow keys * No Attribute Transfer Tool / functionality

The only thing I'll add to what's been previously mentioned is that you should make sure to check the results in all the browsers you anticipate having to support for your application. Dates & Javascript across different browsers can be a bit of a challenge and I've had correct results in Chrome but Internet Explorer produce incorrect results. Steve

I don't have a symbolset to share but here's a link to an older example of how to tackle multiple criteria with point symbols. This technique would seem to address your concern about over/under-representing the importance of any one criteria. This was a downloadable symbolset for Arcmap at one point so you would need to do some searching to find a copy of it. Steve

I added this over on the Ideas section just in case but is there a widget out there that functions like the historical imagery slider in Google Earth? For one web app I will be developing, I'd like to offer the easy ability for users to compare an area over time using various orthos captured over time. Thanks- Steve
