It happened to me the other day after creating a shapefile from the same GP tool. As a workaround, make a copy of your shapefile then delete the .sbx and .sbn files (these are optional files and shapefiles load faster with them). It should work thereafter.   ... View more

Can you please tell me what do you mean by "Use raster and mosaic layers directly in your mobile map packages without creating tile packages", when referring to the new functionality? I thought it would refer to mosaic datasets, and if I search for "mosaic layer" then I get to Mosaic layer—ArcGIS Pro | Documentation  or Make Mosaic Layer—Data Management toolbox | Documentation, supporting my interpretation. But I tried that and it failed, and according to Brent Pierce mosaic datasets are not supported within MMPKs (do see https://community.esri.com/message/913909-re-can-one-include-a-mosaic-dataset-into-a-mobile-map-package?commentID=913909… ). Hi Brent Thank you for the feedback. I now understand how it works.  I like the new functionality, such as the ability to automatically open Google Maps or Navigator to get directions to a point on the map. Pop-ups with attachments work great. I am grateful I can now load large MMPKs onto my SD card. I had one more question that related to the use of "mosaics" in the MMPKs. Update. So it seems that Explorer for ArcGIS does not make use of the default folder "ArcGIS/mmpks" on a mobile device that several of the other Esri apps use (like AuGeo, Navigator, Survey123, Trek2There). This caught me as I was sure that if I placed my mmpk there, it would show on my phone.  I reverted to checking my Explorer for ArcGIS app permissions and discovered that only location was enabled, not storage. (i was not prompted to enable storage when I installed the app). I then manually provided the necessary permissions but this did not seem to make any difference. Explorer for ArcGIS would simply not read any MMPKS placed in that folder.   I then reverted back to the installation files created when Explorer was installed and found that it created two similar folders, one on my SD card and the other on the phone memory. Any MMPK or basemap (like VTPK) can be placed in either folder and Explorer will read it. So I have a less efficient workaround, but it works and does result in the duplication of some MMPKs. So to answer the second part of my question (how to copy basemaps to the device?) , if the basemap is placed in  the SD card\Android\data\com.esri.explorer\files\basemaps folder, it will appear as a separate tab when changing a map's basemap. This is the same experience as in Collector.  Somehow I still suspect that my mobile  device should have access to other folders and thus also the ArcGIS/mpks folder. Perhaps that is why I cant find any functionality to import MMPKS from a SD card? This still eludes me ... Is the above workflow by design and one cant access the ArcGIS/mmpks folder (or what went wrong with my installation)? Is this the workflow to load MMPKs from SD card that was reported in the "What's new"?  Can this (or future) version of Explorer not import MMPKs from SD card, similar to how the Windows version imports MMPKS from any location? If you just want to edit a feature service then you are over-thinking it. The process you described above (Share > Overwrite Web Layer) is one where you would like to replace the feature service with another feature service, not editing. It is actually frightfully easy. Add your feature service to ArcGIS Pro.  Start editing and the changes are automatically made to the online feature service. No need for making local copies and then publishing them back to AGOl. It happens automatically.  It is a much better experience now.  ... View more

You may want t try a slightly different approach, a logistic model rather that OLS. Although I have not tried it, you should be able to run the Generalized Linear Regression tool on binary variables using Generalized Linear Regression (GLR)—ArcGIS Pro | Documentation. When you run the tool, you can choose between using continuous, count, or binary variables.  ... View more

Hi Zhifang Thank you for your email. The good news is that sorting the records does allow me to create my reports. I first observed this error on the 28 January 2020. I made changes to it in December, but to the hosted feature layer in AGOL. It would be related to layer views and permissions. I created the original feature service in Survey123 Connect. I then later 'opened' the feature service in AGOL as described above.  I do have web-hooks attached to the survey to notify me when  survey is being submitted.  I cant find the edit date field in the feature service. I had not sorted the data by any field before trying to generate the report. Interestingly, when i now look at the Overview tab in www.survey123.arcgis.com, then under Surveys Submitted, it now says "This feature is not available. The creator field cannot be found in the feature service." ... View more

Hi Jacob Taking a look at your map, it seems the cities that are still unplaced are those that have very small polygons (too small for the numbers to fit). Although I am not all that familiar with this workflow, perhaps try and allow the maplex labeling engine to place labels outside of polygon boundary (I hope it then does not try and place the city names outside the boundaries!). You also mentioned that the label buffer did not show any visible changes on the map. It does when I use it. Have you changed the buffer distance to 50%? I cant offer any further advice on how to apply unique key number values for the labels.  Maybe somebody else can assist.
