Thanks again for your help. Is this app going to replace the original ArcGIS for iOS?

Hi Nick, 1. We are running 10.2.2 2. The water team just released a tool called siugle field asset geocoder (http://solutions.arcgis.com/utilities/water/help/asset-locator/), which is essentially using an address locator for things like asset IDs and such. We are using it on a number of assets (hydrants, valves, manholes, sewer lines, streets, etc). Again, it works great in the existing ArcGIS app on iOS, but immediately crashes anything in the new explorer app. 3. Unfortunately, the service is not publicly available. Our data is behind a firewall. Thanks for your help!

I'm having an issue where the app completely crashes when I have it set to use my own geolocator. Is this just an early bug? Everything seems to work fine on the original ArcGIS app.

I started having issues with any feature classes that are using an sde connection as a data source. Everything shows up fine in ArcMap, however, once published to a PMF, all of my feature classes using an sde connection, have broken links. Has anyone had this happen?

In our case, it was a matter of our server. We were storing all of our GIS data on an older linux based server. We've since moved everything over to a newer windows based server and have seen speed dramatically increase (not just in GIS, but across the board).

Hi Juan, We actually found out what was going on awhile back. It appears as though in uninstalling the old version, it also uninstalled a dao360.dll (or dao350.dll). registering that again fixed this problem.

Actually, I've noticed this is an issue with a particular featureclass (manholes) within a geometric network. I've tried exporting it out and importing back in...recreating the geometric network. No success. The manhole featureclass is fine when editing locally. The manhole featureclass is also fine when I delete the geometric network and edit it like that (on the server). So, it looks like somehow, this manhole featureclass is causing issues when inside a geometric network and being edited on the server (I've tried another, offsite server just to see if I could duplicate that...and I did). The manhole feature class needs to be part of the geometric network, so taking it out is not a solution. Editing from my local is a hassle, because I'm having to share out the folder for someone else to edit.

Nope, the new snapping is still unchecked. I have noticed more problems out of features in a geometric network.

I've been having issues when editing a version 10 geodatabase in ArcGIS 10.1 from the network. Editing a version 9.3 seems to be fine. With ArcGIS 10, I was having zero issues editing from the network. Basically, selecting anything has a noticeable delay. Moving anything results in at least a 10 second delay. Editing the same data on my local results in zero problems. I called tech support and they initially blamed it on the network. Well, 2 days prior, it worked fine on the same network. There were no changes made to the network, only to the upgrade of version 10 to 10.1. We then tried renaming the normal.mxt and the esri folders in the registry. That didn't work either. Has anyone experienced this in 10.1? It's a bit frustrating, because we really need this to work from the network. I am editing on my local right now as a temp fix, but eventually that won't work. Thanks, Robb

I am encountering the same problem with ArcReader (just downloaded, over a year after initial post to this thread) and similar startup failure with ArcGIS Desktop. Try the steps in this link http://resources.arcgis.com/content/kbase?fa=articleShow&d=34472. That seemed to do the trick for us.

We are having a problem with an ArcReader installation. Everything seems to install fine. However, when we start the program, it gives an error of, "The application failed to initialize properly (0x000001d). Click OK to terminate the application". Does anyone know what's going on here?

After installing ArcReader 10, we noticed that some of the machines were having problems accessing any data that was part of a geodatabase. It was reading shapefiles just fine, but geodatabases were coming up as a broken source. Half the machines are working fine. Has anyone had any issues with this?

You can try the unsplit tool. I'm not sure if it requires an ArcInfo license (what I'm currently running), but it's worth a shot.
