Thanks for that! I knew the arcgis API existed, and was better to use for this sort of thing than ArcPy, but I had never investigated it that much. I didn't realize the difference in speed. I found another post with a script and tried it, and it worked really well. So I really appreciate the help.

I meant using the "Delete Features" to erase the contents of the online layer, and then "Append" in ArcGIS Pro. The last time I tried this, (admittedly a while ago) it was many hours to complete the process. And I basically have to delete and append all 30,000+ features each time. I had not really tried anything with Python, although I am open to it. I'd appreciate any insight on this. It has been a real problem for us.

I was reading this post with interest. I have recurring need to overwrite a large parcel layer on a weekly basis. This layer has 30,000+ records, and is published from a local FGDB with a join to a database. So my usual workflow is to make edits to the local FGDB layer, with the join retrieving new attribute data. I export this to a combined local feature layer (polygons + joined attributes). When I am ready, I overwrite the online feature layer. I have tried to drop and add all the records in the online feature layer, to keep from overwriting, but it is extremely slow and not feasible. Is there another method I should be looking at? Like you, I hate overwriting services, but I can't see how to work around it.

Is there a way to set an x offset for a sidebar collapse button so that it only applies when open? When the sidebar is open, I want the collapse button to be shifted to the right. However, when the sidebar closes up against the right side of the screen, the collapse button disappears because it is still shifted to the right, and is now off the screen. Is there a way to keep the offset only when open? Or alternatively, is there a way to create a button to open/close the sidebar?

I was actually able to get Web Adaptor set up correctly (at least it seems that way) but I couldn't point the sharing settings to the Web Adaptor either. Save button just doesn't do anything. I'll contact support.

Let me back up and say that I only want to share a few services from ArcGIS Server to our ArcGIS Online account. So I am not sure if the webadaptor needs to be configured or not. So that could be part of the problem. Still, I click the save button, and nothing happens at all. The screenshot doesn't really help because there is no error message or anything. The save button is enabled and I can click it, but nothing happens afterward.

I am having the same behavior. I have tried all the above steps, and I still cannot save (no error message, just click Save and nothing happens.) Are there any other suggestions?

Did you get any solution to this? We are having this happen with ArcGIS Online feature services as well. Some, but not all of the attributes will go to null. Splitting policy in ArcGIS Pro is not enabled for AGOL feature services, and I can't see where to change anything in ArcGIS Online. Like you, I think this started around the time of the 2.9 update.

I am also having this same behavior. The explore tool is definitely not enabled. If I move the arrow over the feature I am selecting, hold shift and do not move the mouse at all, I can select without zooming in. But if I move the mouse even a tiny bit, the zoom rectangle appears. Very frustrating.

I did get a response from register.com about the SSL situation: Based on your request, I am sorry to inform you thus we do not give out our private keys. If you are using the SSL for a different server, the server should generate a Private Key. You would either have to reissue the SSL for this and submit a new CSR or convert the CRT format into PFX format. You can Google these steps for your guide. I ended up installing using the AMI here so now I already have the EC2 server instance up and running, so I will try to get the private key from the server and proceed from there.

The QuickCapture interface would be very useful in updating existing data. I have seen the workaround of post-processing using a spatial join to join the new data to the existing and update attributes that way, but that is a complicated method and relies on a good GPS position to make sure you are collecting the new point close enough to the old point's location for the join to work. While I am not sure how this would work directly in QuickCapture, I do think having the ability to edit existing data would be beneficial.

Currently a button can have only one user input attached to it. We have seen the need to have several user inputs attached to one button. For example, the user clicks a button to record a location of a yellow fire hydrant, then is prompted for a photo. Next the user is prompted to enter the manufacturer year. At this point, normally we could not add any more inputs. However, the user still needs to type in an ID, so if a second user prompt could appear, that would be extremely useful.

I am having this exact same behavior with the traverse tool on version 2.9.0. After about 50 rows in the traverse tool, you start seeing it take several seconds to go to the next line after you hit enter. At about 150 rows it takes 10-12 seconds, and the screen will also black out and present the ArcGIS Pro is not responding message. I think this started happening when I updated to 2.9.0 but I am not sure. I have the same behavior on two different machines. Both are saving to a layer in a local file geodatabase. It makes working with the traverse tool an excruciating process as you have to wait for the next line to appear, and if you type too soon, the value goes into the previous row and you have to correct, and wait again.

The domain is not hosted at register.com (we use AWS S3) but the domain name was originally registered there. I'll contact their support and see what they say. I'll report back when I know something. Thanks for the guidance.
