Hi Robert -- Mark answered your question over in another thread, but I am posting his information here as well so that others with the same issue see the answer: The current release of Explorer does not support Raster layers. For Pro 2.1 we started writing raster layers into the MMPK with the anticipation that a release of Explorer would be available with raster support. The releases did not line up, so we are in this situation where rasters are written into the MMPK, but Explorer can not make use of them. Internally we have builds of Explorer that do support and display raster layers. The next Explorer release will have MMPK raster layer support. If we had waited for Explorer to support raster layers before writing them into the MMPK, we would have had to wait until the Pro 2.2 release... so while it seems a bit confusing now, I think it is worth it.

We've found that Google Play is incorrectly reporting that some compatible devices are not compatible. If your device meets the device requirements but you see that message, here is a workaround: you can install Collector directly from Esri by following the steps in FAQ: How do I download Collector for ArcGIS without access to Google Play or the Windows Store?

Hi Kurt - You can add feature search to the dispatcher map. It is the same as adding feature search to an ArcGIS Online or ArcGIS Enterprise map. You can see an example of setting this up for Workforce here: Create your first project—Workforce for ArcGIS | ArcGIS Does that get you where you need to be? -- Kylie

Working in the field, you might be near your asset but not right at it. In Collector’s Aurora Beta you can use the compass to get right to where you need to be. The map orients itself the direction you are facing and a guideline shows the direction to the asset. I recently used it to find a fire hydrant. Once I was close and looked around, the compass told me exactly which way to face to see it. In this case the hydrant was visible, but if it was obstructed I still would have found it. Try it out: Tap an asset on the map that you want to find. Tap Overflow on the toolbar below the asset’s details. Tap Compass . Follow the guideline to the asset you were looking for. If you are not close to your asset and need to navigate streets to get there, use Directions (also available in the asset's overflow) before you use the compass. With this Beta you can pick which navigation app you want to use for directions: Apple Maps, Google Maps, Navigator for ArcGIS – use the one that works for you.

Hi Candice -- Removing downloaded basemaps on Windows is done when viewing your on-device content. When viewing the Maps gallery, go to the menu and select On Device. You'll see lists of the maps and basemaps you have downloaded on your device. From the overflow menu on a map or basemap you'll have the ability to remove it. For basemaps, remove will be disabled if it is being used for maps on your device, so you might have to clean up the maps first. You can also see more about this in Go offline > Remove downloaded maps and basemaps—Collector for ArcGIS | ArcGIS.

Hi Vaneiri - No, at this time you can't change that color. If you have a workflow where that would be useful for you, please comment over in https://community.esri.com/community/arcgis-ideas?sr=search&searchId=8fa4f3e7-0450-4aae-a79b-f137b80c2289&searchIndex=0 with details so we understand your use case. Thanks!

We often get asked for details on creating offline maps for use in Explorer for ArcGIS. Mark Bockenhauer has put together a great two-part blog that goes through each step: from downloading a dataset to working offline in Explorer. Part 1 includes: An introduction to the ArcGIS Pro project (available for download) that you'll make into an offline map. Creating a vector tile basemap (VTPK) that your offline map will use as the basemap. Setting up your VTPK as the basemap of your offline map. Including search and bookmarks. Part 2 continues with: Customizing the information shown for your feature's pop-ups. Creating a mobile map package (MMPK) - which includes your VTPK - and that can be download in Explorer. Sharing the MMPK Trying out your map offline in Explorer. I'd like to bring this content into the official Explorer help, so if you have feedback, that will help with the next steps for this content. Did his blog help you make your first MMPK? What could be more clear? Where did you get stuck, or was there something that you really loved or appreciated in it?

Thanks for following up Katie. Today, you can share the markup directly with another user of Explorer (through an email, message, or AirDrop) and the recipient can use it in Explorer. Instead of sharing through ArcGIS Online (or perhaps in addition to) you could have workers share their markup directly to another device or other user. If you use an email, you could have someone make sure that message is forwarded to the users who need it before the next round of investigations. This does also make the markup layer something that can be edited: markup shared in this way works on the recipients' device the same way their own markup layers work. You can't take notes in the same markup layer, as the edits are in your local layer and have to be reshared as a new layer, but I think it might still be useful for you. I know it isn't ideal, as you have to know who to send it to, but perhaps it would be a way to operate until the next version of Explorer is out and supports sharing markup through ArcGIS Online, adding it to a map, and consuming it in the mobile app. As for the differences in editing markup in ArcGIS Online and in Explorer, editing markup outside Explorer is something we don't support at this time.

Hi Alban -- If the default isn't working for you, you can change the attachment size that the app uses in the settings (see Work with attachments—Collector for ArcGIS | ArcGIS for complete steps how). One of the options is "Actual" and it will use the full resolution photo.

In addition to Kevin's info, you can also view all the features in the location as a list on the phone: On iOS, tap on the tab of the list (the pin icon, if you are identifying them by tapping on the map) or drag the first result up on the screen. On Android, tap the list icon (to the left of the X). From the list, you can then select the feature of interest.

Hi Ed - You are using markup, which is saved as a layer on your device. You can use it across multiple maps; it's not associated with the map you were using when you created it. To access it back in your office, you'll want to share the markup (there are a couple ways you can do so, based on what you need to do back in the office), and then consume it.

Hi John -- Collector can edit features that are in a geometric network, but there are some limitations: You need to use ArcGIS Server 10.3.1 or later. If you're working offline, you need to use a geodatabase at version 10.2 or later. You need to use versioned data for editing. Also a word of caution: Collector treats all the feature services as simple feature services, and the restrictions of the geometric network are ignored. Supported data—Collector for ArcGIS | ArcGIS
