Hi Margaret - Are you working with the released version of Collector on iOS, or are you using the beta version? If the beta version, please post your issue in our Collector Early Adoptercommunity forum. If this is for the released app, I'd recommend starting your own thread here on GeoNet so that it is more visible.

Hi -- The steps in those articles are for the new version of Collector, so if you are following them on an Android device, you can use the beta of the app that is available now or you will see some differences, as you found. For Try Collector, the flow of the steps is the same, although some of the buttons you click look different or are placed differently. Here are some tips to help you be successful with the steps even using 18.0.3 on Android: (Step 4 and 😎 The "Add" button that you'll use is on the toolbar, but still a + sign. (Step 5) To attach a photo, you'll use the paper clip icon on the toolbar. Then you can pick if you take a photo or choose one already on your device. (Step 7 and 10) Instead of a word "Submit" to share the picnic table, you'll tap the check mark in the upper-left corner. (Step 9) To start streaming, tap "Stream" on the toolbar. For Collet data offline, the scenario is focused on using preplanned map areas. These are areas of the map configured for offline use in ArcGIS Online or ArcGIS Enterprise by the map author. These are different from the on-demand map areas that are supported in 18.0.3 on Android. The on-demand map areas available in the release Android app are configured by the mobile user directly in the app -- additionally, there isn't an example map that you can take offline. To try working offline in 18.0.3 on Android, you'll need to make your own map that can be used offline. If there are still things you are struggling with, let me know what parts and I will help you out. If you would like to join the beta for Collector on Android, please join our Collector Early Adopter community so you’ll have the latest information on what you can test as well as provide feedback. Once you’ve joined, visit Getting Started to access the beta release for Android. (You won't find streaming in the beta available today, but it will be there in a later beta and before the final release of the app.)

Ahh gotcha. This is a different way to hit the same error message (but is a different root issue), and unfortunately isn't one we've fixed yet. I've been able to repro what you are seeing. I'm guessing what happens is that ArcGIS Online has a single name for the domain, and leaves the name as-is when the one domain is edited. But now you have two different domains with the same name in the same hosted feature layer (which is what causes issues in Runtime, and so in Collector). If the changes to the domain are reverted, both layers load again. Let me follow up on this a bit and get back to you, but one thing that resolves it is if you were to publish the feature classes as separated hosted feature layers instead of as a single one.

The update made to ArcGIS Online to change how naming is done is part of the creation process there, so it is limited to layers created there. You can fix this for layers created through Pro, but the fix is a bit different. Correct me if this isn't the case for you, but I'm guessing you have two layers in different geodatabases that you published as a single service in ArcGIS Online? For example, you made a map that had the two layers in it and published the map as a service. You have two ways to fix it in that case: Update the names of the domains in the geodatabases so that they are unique. Publish each feature class to ArcGIS Online separately, creating a separate hosted feature layer from each one.

Hi Chad - Are you editing the domains while you have the map open in Collector? If so, please try closing and reopening the app. If that isn't what you're hitting here, could you specify for me what error you are seeing by changing the domain on one of them? Also, were these layers published through ArcGIS Online, or did you publish them using Pro or ArcMap? The fix only applies to layers created in ArcGIS Online.

Thanks Robert Rayner! I will let support move ahead with this as they have a better system for getting repro cases, and they'll loop in others as they need. Please reach out again if you feel I could help more.

No worries Jon Taylor. The most common reasons for the sideloaded basemap to not show up with your offline map are that it doesn't overlap the extent of the offline map area you are using, or that its spatial reference doesn't match that of the default basemap. Could you check on those things?

Hi Robert - Do you have a map and services you can share with user Collector4ArcGIS? (To share them, create a group and invite that user to it, and share the map and services with that group).

Hi Jon -- Sideloading a basemap is supported today. In the Collector doc, you'll find information on how to create a basemap for sideloading as well as how to get that basemap onto your device. What was supported with Classic and isn't yet in the new Collector is the ability to use a sideloaded basemap during download instead of downloading a basemap along with your map. In new Collector you can use the sideloaded basemap with the map after it is downloaded.

I'd need some more information about the other layer and what happened to it. It would probably be best to call support for this: they'll be able to get the full details and repro steps.

This is BUG-000121691 - https://support.esri.com/en/bugs/nimbus/QlVHLTAwMDEyMTY5MQ== I don't have many more details than is listed there, but I'd recommend contacting support and getting associated with the bug. This lets us see how many people are impacted and helps with information to reproduce it. Thanks!
