Josh -- It should only be an issue on devices where the map was open while the edits were made. For example, I have an iPhone that had the map open when I made the change to the domain, and an iPad that didn't have the map open. The iPhone has issues with the layer until Collector was restarted. The iPad can load and use the updated layer just fine. So only the users who are seeing the issue with the layer need to restart the app. The other fix is to revert the changes that you've made, and then the layer will work even on devices that had the map open while changes were made.

Hi Rob - Thanks for your patience on this. So far, we have identified a few causes of this error (one being the duplicate coded value domains that we've talked about here, and which ArcGIS Online has fixed for new data). We are still in the process of identifying and handling the various causes and find workarounds for them (without republishing) where possible. The other cause we've noticed has to do with editing coded value domains while the map is open in Collector (and in that case, restarting the app is the workaround, as reloading the map isn't enough). We are still in the process of understanding the conditions required to hit this issue. Are you doing your domain editing on a hosted feature layer? If so, does the map open if you restart the app? This is why I recommended A support request is the right path forward. We have seen this for some different reasons, and you might be hitting one of those, and not the one that was fixed. We aren't sure all the cases yet and don't want to send people down the wrong path if in fact their case doesn't meet the requirements of one that we know. When working with support, we get the details and information to reproduce the error the same way you are, and can use that to understand if it is a different case and what is being encountered. Know that we are trying to understand the causes for this so that we can fix them, and thanks for helping us do so!

Hi Chad - I haven't tried it, and the recommended approach is to use the front-end as going through the REST admin endpoint can always introduce user-error But I've been told that it should work to go through the REST admin endpoint as the calls that need to be made to update the domain name behind-the-scenes should still get called in that case.

Hi Ken -- We have seen this on some devices in the released version of Collector. For example, Google Pixel and Samsung Galaxy S9 and S9+. What device are you using?

Hi Josh -- To make sure I understand what is happening, you opened a layer in Collector with a coded value domain. Then you updated the CVD through the "Fields" in the ArcGIS Online item details page for your layer, and no refreshing in Collector got the map working in Collector again (although it was working fine in ArcGIS Online). If this is the case, it sounds like you are hitting a known bug that we are working to address (about editing a CVD while the map is open in Collector). Can you try closing Collector, then reopening it and opening the map again?

This is working in Collector on iOS today (and coming to Android in a later beta release). I just tried it by making a point layer with the ESRIGNSS_LATITUDE and ESRIGNSS_LONGITUDE fields, and when I used the GPS in Collector to add a point, it recorded Lat/Long into those fields. Siona Roberts can you make sure you are using the GPS when you collect (and not panning the map and clicking "Update point")? If you are, please make sure the fields in your layer match the required names shown here.

Yes, if those three domains have different values you'd want to edit each of them. Really you want to resave them (and to save requires a change). That will rename them (instead of just using the field name, ArcGIS Online now also uses other information to create unique names). I'm not versed in that tool and am not sure if it would show this or not. What shows to users doesn't change, it is the domain name in the underlying database that you are actually updating.

Hi Chad - If you are seeing the error because you have different domains on fields of the same name, then you just need to edit the domain list for the layers. When the domains are resaved, their names are updated by ArcGIS Online and the names of the domains are then unique. This removes the problem since there are no longer domains with the same name and different values.

Hi Matt -- In ArcGIS Online, if you click Edit in your map, what do you see in the list of features you can add? Is it all 37, or just the 6 you expect? Collector honors the list of types that you can create and should match what you see in the AGOL edit experience. To change what is there, you can click "Manage" at the bottom and then remove templates you don't want used.

Hi Thomas - We are working to get that into the new Collector. In fact, it is planned as part of a beta release that will be available on iOS soon (I'd estimate in the next couple weeks). As to your point on how you are required to download a basemap today, you don't have to download a huge one. Just download the basemap in the map with the lowest level of detail (like level 0 or 1) so that you get a smaller basemap during download, and replace it with the one you want after that.

Hi Jo Ann - Labels are supported in the new Collector app, which is released on iOS and in beta on Android. If you are using Collector 18.0.3 on Android, it doesn't support labels. If you are interested in trying out the Android beta, we'd appreciate your feedback. To get the beta, join our Collector Early Adopter community so you’ll have the latest information on what you can test as well as provide feedback. Once you’ve joined, visit Getting Started to access the beta release for Android. For offline, the Android beta currently supports preplanned workflows, where areas of the map to take offline are defined in ArcGIS Online or ArcGIS Enterprise. On-demand offline workflows, where the user of the map defines the area to take offline, will be coming in a later beta.

Hi Scott -- If you could give some more information about what you see in Collector vs what you see in ArcGIS Online's Map Viewer, that would let us better help you troubleshoot. Are you seeing the map in Collector, but the layer isn't editable? Are you able to edit the same map in ArcGIS Online? Thanks.

Hi Sunil - If you use the Overflow menu (...) at the top of the map you'll find a Bookmarks option. Tap it, and the "Default map extent" bookmark is included in there.
