Hi April - Are you creating your map in Map Viewer Beta, or the current Map Viewer? Is this a map you'd be able to share with me (by adding it to a group and inviting user Collector4ArcGIS to that group)?

TPKX files aren't supported on Windows or Android in the released Collector apps. On Android, they are supported in the latest beta. If you'd like access to the beta version, join our Collector Early Adopter community so you’ll have the latest information on what you can test as well as provide feedback. Once you’ve joined, visit Getting Started to access the beta release for Android. (For iOS users, they are supported in Collector for ArcGIS, but not in Collector Classic.)

Could you share with me what you are doing here, and I can try to reproduce it. For example, you download a map area (do you define it, or is it defined as part of the map?) -- then searches work, until changes are sync'ed, and then searches no longer work on the same device? Do they still work on other devices for that map? Thanks!

Hi Todd! You'll need to share your map with a group, and have the mobile workers that need to access it be part of that group. You can learn more in "Share your map for use in Collector" here: Deploy your map—Collector for ArcGIS | Documentation

Hi Joseph, and welcome to Collector Yes, if you have configured your data so that there are related inspections that are maintained as separate records, in Collector you can view the older inspections. You'd want to follow the information about setting up your data to record current status and keep historical records (Design your layer—Collector for ArcGIS | Documentation). Then, when inspecting, your field workers would add a related report to record their inspection findings (Inspect—Collector for ArcGIS | Documentation). If you already have inspections, they'd be available to the user in the Related section (mentioned in step 3 of that doc on Inspect). What are you looking to do with the barcode scanner? In Collector, you can use a barcode to populate a field in the form being filled out (Fill out forms—Collector for ArcGIS | Documentation). You can also use one to find a feature you are interested in working with.

Hi Brian - When you are editing the dispatcher map you can remove popups on the layer and it won't be selectable. When editing the map in Workforce, use the "Other Options" ellipses for the parcel fabric layer and click Remove Pop-up. Save the map, open the project, and you should no longer be able to select parcels.

If you don't want to see the child features, you'll want to have the "Show Related Types" setting off. This is disabled by default, but it is an app setting (not a map setting) so perhaps it is on in the app for you? Here are details on accessing the setting: Configure Collector—Collector for ArcGIS | Documentation (the steps focus on enabling it, as off is the default, but in your case, you'll want to make sure it is off)

Yes, there are. You can see the plans for Collector here: What's planned for Collector?—Collector for ArcGIS | Documentation For Collector on iOS, it is coming in the next major release (19.3.0), expected to release late this year. You can read about the plans for that release at the end of the blog that announced the last (19.2.0) release: Collector for ArcGIS (iOS) Updated It will come to Android in the new version of the app, but not in the first release.

Hi Andrew -- Since you are using the Collector Beta, could you please post in the forum of the Collector Early Adopter community? That way the right people from the team see it, as well as other beta participants who might be experiencing similar things. Thanks! (Collector Classic and new Collector don't share basemaps, so if you are expecting the same ones, that might be the problem)

Thanks for providing all this! I am able to create preplanned map areas (as part of authoring the map) and those work, but not the areas created in Collector (on-demand offline map areas). However, if I remove the "Septic WasteWaterInfra" table, then I can download on-demand offline map areas in Collector. Looking at the domains in that table, it appears there is a period "." in one of the domain names. My guess is that it might be the culprit -- could you try renaming to remove the "." from the domain name ("DCR FREQ. OF SERVICE") and see if you are then able to create and download on-demand map areas?

Thanks for the feedback, Katie. Just to check... are you using areas that were defined as part of authoring the map, or are they areas that you defined in Collector? You can rename areas that you define in Collector (but not those prepared for you) - after downloading the area you define, use the overflow menu (...) and tap Rename Area.
