Just a test to see if you are able to publish with Pro and then use the REST service. 10.5 is fairly new, so I'd test to make sure a problem hasn't been introduced with this release.

Just confirming - you have ArcGIS Desktop 10.5 and ArcGIS Server 10.5. Is that correct? I'd make sure there isn't an issue with publishing the map service in 10.5. Have you tried publishing the map service using ArcGIS Pro? Do you have a machine that has an earlier version of desktop installed? You might try publishing using an earlier version.

Just a quick check, but when you look at the REST service, have you tried clicking on the View In option and looked at it using the ArcGIS JavaScript viewer? You can at least confirm the features are viewable.

Thanks for the response. I knew it may not be possible, but I thought I'd ask. Interesting thoughts about the ability to set up 2 types of users - editors and consumers. Protects the data while providing access to whole new group of people to whom you might want to provide information.

That's how I have it set up now - anyone in the group can edit all feature layers in that group. What I've stumbled across is with Survey123 the form is saved to a user's local machine. They are able to fill it out and submit it, and the form does not capture email and user ID unless that user logged in before starting to complete the survey. I received a note on the Survey123 forum at https://community.esri.com/thread/186264-deny-anonymous-editors-any-editing-rights, so I'm going to close this question on this site. Thanks for your thoughts.

Is there a way to deny "anonymous editors" from being able to update existing features or create new features? I know this sounds strange, but I have a case where my organization is publishing some maps for public viewing, but we also using feature layers for Survey123. I've come across a use case where after a user has signed on and downloaded the Form for Survey123 it is kept locally on the user's machine. The next time they open Survey123, they are not forced to log on. This person then becomes an anonymous editor. I don't want them to be able to update anything unless they have logged in, but I don't see this as an option in AGOL. I only see the options to do " The same as signed in editors", or " Only add new features...". The user's ID and email address are captured behind the scenes as part of the form. Making those values required fields is not really an option since the data entry fields are not provided to the user, and I don't want to ask the user to enter that data. I would be OK if there was a way to check if that data is available when the form opens and block the user from accessing the form until they sign in. Since this issue came up while using Survey123 with ArcGIS Online, and I will cross-post a question in the ArcGIS Online community.

I don't have real data yet, but in general - I will have a set of data points if a feature layer that will be audited. I will have a person go to the field to visit and review that data point and update information about that data point. I need the ability to add additional data points to the same feature layer that will go through the same audit cycle. The addition of data points will occur monthly.

I do have access to ArcMap, but I cannot make this a local database as others may be working in the feature layer at the same time. It may be helpful to explain what I'm trying to do... Monthly we will be identifying some data features that need to be "audited". The first month is not a problem because that will be the initial database. However, starting in month 2-n I'd like to be able to add additional data features to the list. I cannot make this database private because others will be accessing the data and updating the status for existing data features. I don't want to create a separate database for each month because I'd like to be able to show progress by month, year to date, etc.

Is there another way besides ArcGIS Pro? My company has not implemented ArcGIS Pro, yet. And, I have some users that don't have the GIS experience to learn Pro. It would be great if there was some way to do this in AGOL.

Good suggestion. I've added this to the ArcGIS Online ideas area. It can be seen at https://community.esri.com/ideas/12792-enable-credit-limits-when-adding-users-from-csv-file

When adding a list of users via a CSV file there should be the ability to establish the credits available to a user. This will be very helpful when adding a fairly long list of users. Today the only way to do this is to go to each user and adjust the number of credits available on their account. Being able to set the number of credits available to users avoids them being consumed accidentally and depleting the total for your entire organization.

I am using a published survey that I built with a spreadsheet as the basis for a new survey. I opened Survey123 Connect for ArcGIS and did a survey copy. When I selected the new survey the icon to edit the form using the spreadsheet is not available. I can go back to the source survey, and the icon is there. I can open the folder where the newer survey exists and the spreadsheet is there. I tried to edit the spreadsheet and then open Connect, but I didn't have any success with that. Is there a problem using another survey as the "template" and editing from there?

Thanks for the suggestions. I don't remember having to do this last time, but anyway... I uninstalled the previous version of Survey123 Connect and then installed the latest version . I confirmed after starting the application, all the survey forms previously saved remained available.
