Thanks Kristen, We are working hard to add additional Grid functionality into Pro. Right now our priority is MGRS grids followed by Reference grids. Custom Overlay grids will come after those. David

Custom Overlay Grids are on our road map for a future Pro release. Do you have a specific grid you are trying to create? Thanks, David

Hi Tony, This is where legend fitting strategies comes in. By default, when you first insert a legend, we use a fitting strategy to 'adjust columns and font size.' This attempts to maximize the number of legend items in the space that you define for the legend. This works better for dynamic maps when the content in the legend is changing and you want to fit your legend into a certain space on your layout. The fitting strategy to 'adjust frame' sounds like what you are after. With this option you can set the text for the entire legend, or each part of the legend, to the sizes you want. The fonts retain their size and the legend will adjust to accommodate them. Here is the help topic that includes descriptions of the different fitting strategies. Work with a legend—Layouts | ArcGIS Desktop I hope this is helpful, David

Resizing the height of the scale bar using a property is not yet available in Pro. We do have plans to expand the scale bar properties pane and add this option, but it will come in a future release. Thanks, David

Another option for you to try would be to set bookmarks for the different extents you want to use. You can zoom to bookmarks for maps in layouts without having to activate the map frame and the bookmarks can be used in map views as well.

Sure. In Pro, any color can be made to be transparent. For your rectangle in layout. Select it, go to the symbol properties. Select the color picker and at the bottom of the color pallet select Color Properties... Then set the Transparency to any percentage you'd like.

Is all polygon content disappearing, or just a legend item worth of content (one layer)? Are you getting three red dots in the lower right corner of your legend signaling that a legend item wouldn’t fit? Does the content come back if you resize the legend? We haven’t seen this behavior before when saving and reopening a project, so I’m just trying to narrow down the possibilities. Have you contacted support about this issue? Thanks, David

Yes, Pro 1.4 supports graticules (lat/long) only. Measured grids, including UTM grids are planned for some of the upcoming releases after 1.4.

Thanks Brett, This is very helpful. We believe we have an idea of why this started to happen at 1.3. We are still trying to track down where the reference scale came into the layout text on your map, because this isn't really supposed to happen. We're also working on a check to address it at 1.4, so if it happens in other maps the text in the layout won't get resized. Thanks again, David

Hi Brett, This one is interesting. The problem is coming from a reference scale set on your graphic text in the layout. It is not possible to set this from the UI, so we aren’t quite sure how this happened. To fix this issue, open the .pagx file using WordPad and replace all occurrences of: “referenceScale” : 1000 With this: “referenceScale” : 0 We can include a check in the software for this in future, but could you help us try to track down what might have caused this? Could you provide me with any information you might have on the lineage of how this map was created? Did it start as an .mxd in ArcMap? Was it created in an earlier version of Pro? How was the graphic text added? Were any scripts run on the map, or was there any custom code used to create it? Thanks, David

Hi Mark, ArcGIS Named User licenses for Pro are a 1 to 1 with your Concurrent Use licenses. So, for each Desktop license you get one named user to ArcGIS Online and One Pro license of equivalent level (Basic, Standard, or Advanced). If you have an ELA each person in your organization who needs access to Pro can get it. Contact your customer service representative for details. There are a number of advantages to named user licensing. You can manage, assign and reassign licenses using ArcGIS Online, or your on-premises Portal for ArcGIS. You can take your licenses offline and into the field. You can also, sign in and use the software on any machine, anywhere you have access to your license portal (so you could install and run it from your home machine if you wanted). In fact, many of the user requested enhancements for working with licenses (i.e. seeing who is using a license, being able to take back a license, etc.) are made possible by the named user licensing model. However, as rastrauch stated, some of our customers requested that we include the ability to use concurrent use licenses with ArcGIS Pro, so we are doing that. At the 1.2 release of ArcGIS Pro, and using a 10.4 license manager, you will be able to choose to use concurrent use, or single use licensing. This will use the same license manager and license process that you are used to with ArcMap. If you want to, you will be able to mix and match and assign some licenses to the concurrent use model and some to the named user model. We want it to be flexible, so that it will meet all of your needs. The concurrent use licensing model is scheduled to be available for Pro in the first quarter of 2016. David
