Hey Robert, Sorry for the late response. I have looked at this solution a couple years ago and see the value that it brings to flood/mitigation planning. I think the part that is tripping me up is creating Inundation Feature Polygons. The documentation says "use engineering-quality inundation polygons created using hydrological modeling tools". How would I be able to generate that content within ArcGIS Desktop? Would that be through a program such as HAZUS? Thanks for the feedback!

I wanted to know if anyone else had this experience and to see if you found a solution. I was in the process of upgrading my ArcGIS Enterprise to 10.7.1 from 10.5.1 and was following the steps. All the upgrading processes were performing as expected until I encountered the ArcGIS Server section. Initially, it appeared that the upgrade was successful but tried accessing the service directory on my local machine and was unsuccessful. I also knew that I was encountering an error when I attempted to register the web adapter with the server and I received an "ArcGIS web adaptor server failed to get administer token from the server. Please verify that the ArcGIS Server URL specific can be accessed successfully" error. I just logged a support ticket but seeing if the community ran into this issue. Thanks, Eric

Does anyone know if there are any ArcGIS Pro workflows that support flood inundation modeling? I am looking to eventually replicate what Texas Emergency Management did with their Pin2Flood solution that shows dynamic flood inundation models. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks, Eric Shreve

Martha, Yes, the layer will update fine on the map but will be recognize on the ops dashboard because that layer type is not supported. The work around would be to create the update the feature through python.

Martha, You could try using the ArcGIS API for Python to update the hosted feature service by setting the python script on a windows task scheduler. Publish the CSV as a hosted feature service in AGOL. Create a script similar to below: Then download the script and add it to a web server were you can automate it through the Windows Task Scheduler. # coding: utf-8
# In[88]:
# Import libraries
from arcgis.gis import GIS
import urllib.request, csv
from arcgis import features
import pandas as pd
import os
# In[89]:
# Connect to the GIS
gis = GIS("https://www.arcgis.com", "YOUR AGOL USERNAME HERE", " YOUR AGOL PASSWORD HERE")
print("Logged in as " + str(gis.properties.user.username))
# ## Overwrite the feature layer
# Let us overwrite the feature layer using the new csv file we just created. To overwrite, we will use the `overwrite()` method.
# In[90]:
#item id of the feature layer in AGOL Organization
Engines_featureLayer_item = gis.content.get('Enter Feature Layer ID Here')
# In[91]:
from arcgis.features import FeatureLayerCollection
Engines_flayer_collection = FeatureLayerCollection.fromitem(Engines_featureLayer_item)
# ### Access the overwritten feature layer
# Let us query the feature layer and verify the number of features has increased to `51`.
# In[92]:
#call the overwrite() method which can be accessed using the manager property
Engines_flayer_collection.manager.overwrite('DFFM_Engines.csv (file location)')
# In[93]:
Engines_incidents_flayer = Engines_featureLayer_item.layers[0] #there is only 1 layer
Engines_incidents_flayer.query(return_count_only=True) #get the total number of features
# In[96]:
dirPath = "(file location where 'DFFM_Engines.csv' is located"
fileList = os.listdir(dirPath)
for fileName in fileList:
os.remove(dirPath+"/"+fileName)
print("file deleted")
Let me know if that makes sense. Thanks, Eric Shreve

Luba Hristova that may be something to think about adding a tech tip for with AGOL. This has happened to me before on a different web map and it was frustrating. Thanks for helping me out of this. Do you still want to see the JSON file? Thanks Again, Eric Srheve

Luba Hristova I was able to figure out the problem by deleting the original Leslie Canyon Polygon and republishing it as a hosted feature service and the save option came up. Just curious if you noticed that specific layer was the issue in the Chrome Dev Tools? Thanks, Eric Shreve

When I remove the layer and re-add it to the webmap through the rest endpoint I am not able to see it on the table of contents, even though the layer is displayed on the map. Do you think maybe the JSON was corrupted with the webmap with that specific layer?

Xander Bakker It is formatted as YYYYMMDD. I switched the 'var txt' to 'VALID' which is the the field in the feature service and I am not able to get it working. Do you know what I am missing in the configuration? // Date ( value , month , day , hour , minute , second , millisecond )
var txt = "VALID";
var YY = Number(Mid(txt, 0 , 4));
var MM = Number(Mid(txt, 4 , 2)) - 1;
var DD = Number(Mid(txt, 6 , 2));
var HH = Number(Mid(txt, 8 , 2));
var mi = Number(Right(txt, 2));
// Console(YY);
// Console(MM);
// Console(DD);
// Console(HH);
// Console(mi);
return Date(YY, MM, DD, HH, mi); Thanks, Eric Shreve
