Thanks Kris. Yes, after a couple of hours of frustration I have abandoned VB and will for a full re-write in C#. As you said, probably better to do it ASAP. Thanks!

Hi, Is it possible to update Windows Form objects (ie. TextBox, ComboBox, etc) while in a QueuedTask? I keep getting the "wrong thread" exception error. What I am doing is working with a selected feature, to populate fields on a form. Is there a recommended way of dealing with this? Thanks,

Thanks Kris, After some more trial and error I finally got something that worked: Dim fLayer As FeatureLayer = map.GetLayersAsFlattenedList().OfType(Of FeatureLayer)().Where(Function(l) l.Name.Equals(layerName, StringComparison.OrdinalIgnoreCase)).FirstOrDefault() I hate VB!! 🙂 Thanks for responding and for the tips on VB convertors.

Hi, I have the misfortune of having to convert an ArcMap AddIn to ArcGIS Pro code. Normally this isn't a problem, but this one happens to be built in VB. I'd like to copy/paste as much 'non-SDK' code as possible so I'd like to keep things in VB as opposed to converting it to my language of choice C#. Can anyone help convert the following bit of code from C# to VB? Even googling, I can't seem to figure this out: FeatureLayer currentLayer = map.GetLayersAsFlattenedList().OfType<FeatureLayer>().Where(l => l.Name.Equals(layerName, StringComparison.OrdinalIgnoreCase)).FirstOrDefault(); Thanks

That's not what I'm looking for. I'm looking to create a "Tab Group"....not just a regular group. See my screenshot in the original post. I'm trying to see if I can recreate the visual appearance where the two tabs "Digitizing Tools" and "Service Connection Tools" are grouped together under "DSM Custom Tools".

Yes, I've seen that article but it does not mention anything about creating a Tab Grouping. Can it be done through the "Customize the Ribbon" window??

Hi, In my config.daml I can create a Tab Group, and then create tabs and groups within, but that is all done in code. Is it possible to do this without code just using the "Customize the Ribbon" menu? I see that I can create a tab in an existing group, but I do not see how to create my own new group of tabs. This is a screen shot of what I'm trying to build through the "Customize the Ribbon" menu:

Hmmm.....and trying this same thing using ArcMap all seems to be ok using Rotation with Data Driven Pages. So it must be something with ArcGIS Pro.

Well after some testing it does seem to be the rotation of the Layout that is causing the issue. If I set the rotation field to 0, then all is good. As soon as I start playing with the rotation value, the direction of the arrows gets thrown off. Problem is I have many map pages, and each one is rotated differently. Guess I'll have to figure something out. Thanks,

Hi Dan, Yes, the arrows are rotated according to the aspect value (DIRECTION) but the map series page is also being rotated by a attribute in the layer I'm using for the map series. I'm just wondering if they might be conflicting somehow. I don't really see where else things could be getting messed up. I have the rotation on the arrows set to Geographic and the field DIRECTION. It shows up properly on the map but not on the layout.

Hi, I have created a layer to show slope/aspect. In my Map view, everything looks good. But when I create a layout (with some map rotation based on an attribute in a Map Series), the slope/aspect arrows all get reversed. Where have I gone wrong?? These captures are of the same location, just rotated approx 180 degrees in layout. The correct flow is the first one.

Hi Dan. Actually I saw that article on the Aspect-Slope Function. Where do I find these .RFT files?? Hmmmm....my coordinate system says 'Undefined', but my source lidar data is in UTM meters. I guess I have to manually set the coordinate system for each product derived from the LAS dataset??

Hi, Pretty much a noob to processing raster, but I've managed to take some LIDAR data and create a DEM. From the DEM, I've created a slope raster. Symbolizing it as a vector to see all the arrows, I was hoping it would show me the direction of the slope, but all the arrows are just pointing the same direction. Any guidance on how to properly process my DEM so I can see both slope and direction in the same raster so all the arrows point in the proper direction??

Great. Thanks Dan. Things seem to be working better. Hopefully you can help with another question. After my data processed, my 'mesh' product looks amazing, but there seems to be a 'ghosted version' of it floating on top. Do you know what might be going on here? Sorry for all the questions. I'm still new to Drone2Map.
