Here's another thing to try: the raster is really really big, so something to try is to clip out just the area of the soil map you are interested in with right click the raster layer > Export. The clip tool may be more friendly with a smaller raster. Beyond that if you have no local resources to help you, you pay for your Esri software license for a reason - contact support.esri.com and see if they can help you.

No I don't think you understood my last post. Often you don't need to change coordinate systems. But especially with raster processing (it has to with the fact that rasters are rectangular grids) you sometimes need to make sure the inputs are in the same coordinate system. This is true with some tools some times. Your clip polygon is a small dataset and should project right away, seconds not hours. My guess is you have a massive soil raster and you tried to project that which could take days if it is big enough.

Use the Project tool (not Define Projection) to convert the polygon layer to the same coordinate system as the soils layer. Then try clipping by the new polygon that has the same CS as the soil raster.

It may be this can be changed with Windows mouse settings. Right click on the Windows desktop, choose Personalize and search for "mouse" in the search box at upper left. There may be generic mouse wheel settings and perhaps some device-driver-specific settings that can help with mouse zoom sensitivity.

Be sure and validate before you run. If it isn't shading it means it did not run to completion, which means the output cannot be added to the map. If it really is not running as expected, clear things out by validating and saving the model and project, close Pro, open Pro, and see if it starts behaving. In my experience this OFTEN helps when things are just acting weird, the restart releases all file locks, clears memory of cruft, etc. and everything magically works again after the restart.

@BruceJohnson was the OP here, not me. If things aren't working as expected, going to tech support is great -- that is the only way things can get fixed. Esri can't fix anything that is broken without a use case and a reproducible example that demonstrates the problem. I know it can be a pain to get a bug logged but we ALL benefit when we users take the time to do it well. I have had pretty good luck with this newish tool in ModelBuilder, though I still sometimes do it the "old way" (with Calculate Value returning a true or false value). I was helping someone with the If tool last week and it was working great (Pro 2.8).

That's a really good suggestion. TIFF is a much better format for processing data, fgdb rasters are a better choice for view only of your final product (in my experience).

Since you are using ArcMap, I highly recommend disabling background processing if you have it on. Passing layers from ArcMap to the background geoprocessor can sometimes be not as robust.

When things get this weird, often a restart of the software, or starting the process from scratch can fix the issue. It looks like some of your data (or the many xml pieces of ArcHydro that keep track of things) got corrupted along the way and starting from scratch "cleaned out" the issue.

You should probably remove the join at the end of each iteration. This is model builder question so I am move it to that forum.

No error messages? This is kind of strange. I'm wondering if there is an issue with your inputs. The zone polygons and raster should be in the same coordinate system. Note that there are many zonal tools, please be specific.

According to the article, that is the default behavior. Since no one else has responded I strongly recommend opening a support ticket with Esri to get the best advice on how to implement your workflow in ArcGIS Pro. Unless you have a really good reason I recommend updated your Pro to 2.8, there have been a lot of great updates in the last couple of versions.
