I haven't found this topic in the Coordinate Widget use documentation, so thought I'd mention this detail also....According to the previews, the coordinates for the touch-end-event on small touch screen devices appear to represent the current extent' centroid, as opposed to the place on the map on which your touch-end-event has ended (which some folks might be expecting)...So for example if you touch on a manhole and pan-it into a far corner of the screen, the coordinates that are updated by the Coordinate Widget represent the current extent' centroid....Not the coordinates of the manhole that you just lifted your finger off of when doing the pan... -Nick

Thanks Robert - I was expecting to tap on the button (left side of the widget) to activate the tool, then be able to tap again on the map (once the tool is active) to get coordinates. All while the map is static, navigation already complete. From an end-user experience I'd rather the map be static (lock pan/zoom) while the tool is active, then tap-with-intent. I need to accept how it works for now but I'm noting a potential workaround or customization if enough calls come in from the field or from the public to justify the time.... Thanks again -Nick

Hi All - I am working with WAB DE 2.2 and configured the Coordinate Widget for our data (WKID 2264). The widget works in the desktop browser versions that I have installed (tested Firefox, IE, Chrome, etc)...But then I started doing smaller device previews (a great feature, love it). I noticed that the "Click the map to get coordinates" option is disabled and the coordinates are no longer responding to cursor movement when previewing on smaller devices (basically anything that is not a desktop browser or an iPAD). I'm not sure if others are having this problem, and why it is specific to smaller screen (phone) previews, including iPhone 6 etc. Not sure if my issue overlaps with https://community.esri.com/thread/172046 as it is working for everything but smaller screens... Any suggestions or info helpful. Thanks! -Nick

Hello Robert - After some inspection I am still wondering which widget.js setting or config setting I could change to keep the identified/selection symbols highlighted when I click other widgets (?)...The print widget is the principal one I am interested in (printing with multiple parcels selected for example). Any assistance appreciated! -Nick

In case its helpful for anyone else per this question....The Zoom Slider is a common on-screen widget....I couldn't locate tooltips at WAB 1.2 out-of-the-box.....What worked for me was adding title=${nls.ZoomInTitle}" to line 2, and title=$(nls.ZoomOutTitle}" to line 4 of the ZoomSlider\Widget.html (1st below). Then I added the titles to the strings.js of the ZoomSlider\nls folder (2nd below). ZoomSlider\Widget.html <div class="jimu-corner-all">
<div class="zoom zoom-in" data-dojo-attach-point="btnZoomIn" title="${nls.ZoomInTitle}"
data-dojo-attach-event="onclick:_onBtnZoomInClicked">+</div>
<div class="zoom zoom-out" data-dojo-attach-point="btnZoomOut" title="${nls.ZoomOutTitle}"
data-dojo-attach-event="onclick:_onBtnZoomOutClicked">-</div>
</div> ZoomSlider\nls\strings.js define({
root: ({
_widgetLabel: "Zoom Slider",
ZoomInTitle: "Zoom In",
ZoomOutTitle: "Zoom Out",
}),

Thanks Robert...zoomLocateButton was a css reference on LocateButton (%$), my bad... That works (adding the multiple this.placeholder.title lines) works.....It doesn't appear that the My Location tooltip is available in WAB by default at 1.2 (when it was available at 1.1 now that I look at it)?......Anyway thanks once again for your expert help... Best -Nick

Thanks Robert - That's correct, the tooltips are what I'm after. The text in the Legend and Layer List nls/strings.js I have changed (changing _widgetLabel: "Legend" to "Nick's Legend" for example), it was the only reason I used the term "label" in my question. I suppose tooltips are also set using "title" (?). I'm having difficulty finding direct references to "Tooltips" anywhere within the WAB 1.2 widget folder contents (?). Any tips appreciated on that.... The Home Button example you pointed out works great (thanks, below). However, I can't get the LocateButton working with the same method (2nd below)...Use another method?. Thanks in advance -Nick Home Button (below) define([

Hi All - I'm trying to set the tooltips or labels for my on-screen widgets in WAB DE 1.2....Two in particular that I'm unable to change/set are the Home Button and the My Location button. There are label settings in the main config.json (ex: "label": "Home Button",) for the on-screen widgets, but changing them, restarting WAB and clearing the cache doesn't appear to help)...It appears that my in-panel widgets can be set in each nls\strings.js (For example I can change the tool tip / label for the Legend widget to "My Legend" with success). Any assistance, tips appreciated. thanks! -Nick

Here is my second.....The other thing I'm chasing is that I'm having trouble with the selected results panel honoring our integer-to-text coded domain values...We have a couple of critical ones that are integer-to-text (Ex: 1 = “Public”, 0 = "Private"). I can't get them to display the text (rather than the integer) in the results panel and the results popup...Something I'm not configuring properly?, because I see ‘esri/layers/CodedValueDomain' is called in the widget....One of our service urls is below (url)...The field Ownedby is an example…. Thanks -Nick

Hi Robert / All - Our folks love this widget (FLEX currently) and we're transitioning to WAB/JS. I have two things that I'm chasing for our WAB/JS beta rollout...I’ll separate these into two separate comments….The first is below… How can I configure our setup so that the selection is cleared when the widget/dialogue is closed? I see the onClose: function in the widget file but I'm not sure how to alter it to make this happen, or whether I'm on the right trail.....Any tips appreciated... Thanks -Nick
