Looks like your visualization cache has gotten into a weird state. You may need to clear the entire cache in order to resolve the issue. go to the backstage Options menu, go to the Display tab and check the box for "mark cache for deletion" and hit OK. For the legend update issue - that may be a known issue. Can you send a repro case to Support?

looks like something has gone wrong. Try hitting CTRL-F5 with map view focused to refresh.

Unless I'm missing your question, it sounds like you just need to turn on "shadows in 3d" in map properties->illumination, and set the map time to something that will cast the desired shadow.

All, There is a known issue with this - it can happen if you're on a machine or view that's quite large (for instance if you're running a 4k monitor, or you're using the "Make Text and Other Items Larger or Smaller") or even if you span a view across multiple monitors. IT's specifically related to thumbnail creation at large view sizes. We fixed this issue in daily builds of Pro, so you'll see the fix in Pro 1.4 when that is released later this year. Regards, Jeremy W.

I talked to the editing team - they logged a defect report to fix this in a future release. Can you give us information/feedback on the "horrible procedure...for 1:n relates"?

This is because your surface is conflicting with ground (this is sometimes called "z-fighting"). You can either offset it by a large enough amount to get it above the ground, or remove the ground elevation source (so it is flat). you didn't have these problems in ArcScene because Arcscene doesn't have a ground.

No, but tin can be its own elevation source independent of ground. Just use the add surface button in elevation surfaces tab of map properties.

TIN can be displayed as BOTH an elevation source and a color source. So if you have a TIN you generated from this data, you can display it in Pro.

OK that sort of makes sense. CLOSING the activation should save your updated extent back to the layout. Going back to the layout (red circled link) does not do this - the updated extent won't yet be written back to the layout element. HOWEVER when you "share" from an activated map frame, you should be exporting the map, not the layout. I'll bump it up to the layout team for investigation either way.

ArcGIS Pro doesn't have ArcObjects as a customization path. There is a new SDK that's more coarse grained than AO, and new functionality is possible at each release as teams add to the API. You can also achieve many things using the ArcPy.MP scripting functionality. FAQ · Esri/arcgis-pro-sdk Wiki · GitHub Keep in mind that the ArcGIS Pro SDK is NOT arcobjects, and some programming paradigms are different. Take a look at the FAQ above and explore the SDK.
