I see. Each one of these would be a separate dashboard then. You could have the same webmap in them or different ones, and set up the widgets accordingly. The screenshot shows our web version of the Ops Dashboard running in the browser. Since each dashboard has a different webID from AGOL (and thus a different web address), you could write an HTML file with a few buttons that would control the call to each of the webmaps as you switch them along the top. The other way you might be able to do this with no coding is using an Esri StoryMaps template and loading the dashboards in that way. I used the Tabbed Layout one and some public maps: http://arcg.is/1INkpLl Hope this helps! Chris

Hi Shane, Yes, you can have multiple maps within the same view. You do this using the Multidisplay option when creating the Ops view. In there, you can add multiple map widgets, and you can link maps together (scale and zoom). Here's an example of using three maps within the same dashboard:

The other thing I thought about too was that there is no mention of version supported on these tools. It might be good for the author to certify that these tools work with released versions if there are problems with stability.

Yes, I can reproduce the crash, but this is not an Esri supported widget. The Operations Dashboard team can only support widgets created from Esri. This was created by Esri Netherlands, and would be considered a third party tool. Even on the item description, it says: This add-in is not supported by Esri technical support; any questions or feedback regarding the add-in should be forwarded to tools@esri.nl. We can only support the "out of the box" widgets that come with Dashboard. Any third party tools and issues should be handled by their authors because we don't know how it was written and cannot troubleshoot someone else's widget. Have you contacted the author about the issue? I hope this helps- Chris

Hi Ron, Can you share the webmap and/or view with me? I'm not sure that this is a supported workflow, but I'm curious about the crashing. Thanks! Chris

In the 10.3.1.1026 version of Operations Dashboard (July 2015 release), we only supported 64 bit systems. In the past several weeks, we have had a lot of customers indicate they would like support for the 32 bit systems as well. We are currently testing an updated release that will support both systems. This new version will be out this week sometime. When it comes out, I will update this thread, but you can also check the home page or the Apps Blog site for additional information. Thanks! Chris

Hi Alisa, Is this on a 32 bit machine? And can you confirm that you are using version 10.3.1.1026? Thanks, Chris

Hi Ron, Labels are not supported in the Operations Dashboard "desktop" application. If you create a view with a webmap that has labels, those labels will not show in desktop. There is an ESRI Support bug for this- ENH-000084219. However, if you then open the view in the web browser version of Ops Dashboard, the labels are visible.

I think the issue here and why it's failing is due to the table missing an OID field. Can you try adding that (or trying a service with table with OID present) and see if that resolves it?

We don't have a hard date yet, but this is something that is in the road ahead. There has to be support from both web and desktop platforms and so we are testing ways in which Operations Dashboard can support both platforms. Hope this helps! -Chris

Hi Nils, I tested this out with a single and multi view dashboard and did not see any crashes. What version are you using? Could you share the URL for the service? Thanks! Chris

Hi Brent, What you are seeing is correct. When you create a multi view dashboard, you are asked to create widgets for it. The first one you would normally make is the map widget (just like the steps in the tutorial). Once you have loaded the map widget and set the data sources, all of the other widgets will become active- they use the data being driven from the map. The summary widget will work once you have set your map up and selected the data sources for it. Also you can have mulitple map widgets within the same view. The single view works differently in that you can't do anything before loading a web map. It also only supports one web map at a time (which is why the map widget will never appear as an option in SIngle view). Thanks, Chris
