Currently in AGOL / Collector, nope. Using those I think you'd have to tap or click based on an estimate, then drag the point around and watch the coordinates change to get it somewhere close. You could have the collector tap roughly where it is, then fill in some latitude and longitude attributes for someone else's reference. Or use device GPS if you're collecting where the device is and you can get the accuracy you need from the device.

Are you using the latest Collector (10.3.1)? Sync is broken with Collector 10.3.1 using ArcGIS Server, the sync will never complete but you may see the changes in Server.

In our setup, with 10.3.1, a not-nullable drop-down field can be left empty by the user and Collector will actually store a space (if nullable was true it would store null). It was only obvious to me by looking at the attribute table of the feature layer in ArcGIS Desktop / Pro that a space was being stored because Collector and AGOL will only show you the drop-down choices. Not seen it actually set the value to null, but I guess a space is equally as useless.

Is Collector trying to be clever and putting some data in there for you when the field is not allowed to be null? E.g. if you have a text field that's not allowed to be null, it will silently pre-populate it with a space so the user can just submit the feature without entering anything. It will only prompt them if they manually delete the space, which they probably wouldn't realise was even there.

We do use basemaps, but it takes us nearly a week to generate a new set and our labelled data is changing far too fast for us to handle with basemaps - I think we've settled on quarterly updates to our basemapping. As you say, hopefully label (and annotation and dimension) support will come soon - until then I think we can just keep asking and asking for it.

There's no full legend unfortunately - you can only see the symbology of things you can capture by pressing the "+" button when you're at the right scale for capturing those things. There's no label support either unfortunately - when we show Collector to potential users the lack of things like labelling really turns them off.

If you have Desktop 10.3 you could try the "Copy Runtime Geodatabase To File Geodatabase" tool to recover the data? We're testing Collector at the moment and this is happening to us too - the progress bar (which generally has a mind of its own) will get to around two-thirds and then do nothing until you cancel the sync. No errors or messages. The same device will have synced successfully previously in the past and other devices will be able to sync as normal. Unfortunately we don't have 10.3 and some of our users are a few hundred miles away, so getting their device from them doesn't really work.

The visibility is controlled by scale, but I'm within the right thresholds for the features to be visible - e.g. 5 polygons in the same feature class should be visible but I can only see 3 of them. If I take the device back online then all the features are visible. Something about offline mode is causing certain features to not be displayed.

I have multiple devices using the same map in offline mode, sometimes some features will not be visible when others in the same feature class are visible. This could cause someone on one device to miss important information. If you tap where the feature is meant to be displayed then it will be selected and you can use Edit to change the geometry, you just can't actually see the symbology. Anyone seen this before? We're on Android using features hosted in Server.

Q2: Does it honor required fields and force a user to complete the form prior to submitting? A2: Unfortunately no, not really. At this point in time, there is an issue within the publishing of the feature service whereby it adds/pads a space into the default value for a field without a default value. In the short term we are planning to post an update to this blog article where it will show you how to remove the padded space and enforce required fields. .. hi, did this ever happen Maria Lamas ? Thanks.

I have a map that won't download in Collector without being opened first and allowing it to load - there's quite a lot of layers so it takes ages to load. The features are all hosted on-premise in Server and secured. If I don't open the map first then I'll get messages about invalid tokens. Any way to stop this?
