This is a pretty terrible bug preventing us from making simple changes in a PDF vs. opening ArcGIS Pro and re-exporting 20 maps at a time, when prior we could just open/edit a PDF and edit text in seconds. Why isn't this higher priority? Does anyone have a workaround at all? This is killing a lot of our workflows

In Pro 2.5 when I point to our template folder (Options>Layout>"Import gallery path"), only page sizes of letter or tabloid size show up as thumbnails, anything larger seems to get cut off/not generated, it'd be great if the thumbnails resized to accommodate larger page/poster sizes too. Or do I need to do something else here to get that to work? Thanks!

Hi Kory - frankly it was crashing so often that day I just kept hitting save often and restarting without bothering to send error report. I think I simply just r-clicked on symbology for a layer and it crashed. Apparently it all had to do with the C:/users/AppData/Roaming/Esri/AcrGISPro folder because when I renamed that, all the crashes stopped - hasn't crashed for a week or so now. I did the straight update through the notification thing inside 2.4.3 - nothing out of the ordinary no messages or anything, but then 2.5 just started crashing in seemingly odd spots...until I del/renamed the roaming folder, then everything was fine.

Have to agree here, just updated to 2.5, experienced numerous crashes all over the map. Didn't seem to matter copying/pasting data layers, opening a layout, changing symbology = crash, crash, crash. That is until I renamed my C:/users/AppData/Roaming/Esri/AcrGISPro folder to "_old" and let Pro create a new one. Can anyone (ESRI) comment on why this is occurring during upgrades, and why doesn't the installer automatically just do this for people if this is a known issue? Usually the first step on a tech support call so why not build it in to the installer within Pro? just curious

Really?! That's awesome, our mapped network drives/editing not updating was really holding us back from going full Pro. Please tell people in support because they have no idea what we're talking about when trying to troubleshoot, but this is the exact problem.

Might be as easy as highlighting the raster in your table of contents, then click the imagery tab in the ribbon, or maybe you'll see the georeference tab automatically then, I forget - key point is to make sure jpeg is selected in table of contents otherwise you won't see the georeference tool, it'll be greyed out.

I am experiencing the same thing at 10.7, unchecked advanced setting and registry entry is set at 0. Did you ever figure this out?

I'm also seeing the same error "ExcelToSQLite has stopped working" when trying to navigate to/open an excel file to add as a table to ArcGISPro 2.4.2 - anyone have a better solution? I've updated the MSDBE to 2016 and am on Windows 10...I also get a "catastrophic failure" error when this happens, that's cute.

An example would be to smooth out a DEM prior to creating contour lines with the Block Statistics mean tool, that's one thing I use these tools for...the shapes - and someone please correct me if I'm wrong, could be used, say if you had an east to west trend in your data, onshore/offshore for example, you could use an ellipse or other shape.

Ok - so I updated graphics driver and cleared my 9GB (9 GB!) display cache, but through some admittedly "not thorough" testing, I think my main issue was related to DirectX vs OpenGL. If I switch back to DirectX it totally lags when working over our network share. Local edits were fine with either choice, but when I try to edit over our network w/DirectX selected - I see drawing and performance issues magnified and the whole disappearing features thing happens, switch back to OpenGL and the features at least draw for me albeit slowly. Thanks for your help and I hope this helps OP.

Lenovo P51s - Quadro M520 - yes docking station - Lenovo Ultra - I'll try clearing the cache and updating drivers and switching form DirectX to OpenGL, but honestly Pro 2.3 was running pretty good under exact same settings/system on my end, I'm not going to say fast but pretty good, but now upgrading to 2.4 has brought performance back to near unusable speeds - what changed?

We've seen this in editing with 2.4, we create a feature, with the symbology set to all features the same, i.e. a simple red line, we draw a new line, it is selected (highlighted), we deselect line and it simply disappears. The new feature is visible in the attribute table, it just, for some reason does not draw in ArcGIS Pro. If you hit the refresh it will then draw, it's like there's a lag in the refresh of the map somehow, very frustrating. Is there a graphics setting or something we can try to fix? Otherwise it's basically, create a feature>refresh button in lower right > create feature > refresh button....this is so lame.

Would I need to log into my machine as someone other than myself then, I am an "Admin" on the local machine, I guess I don't understand if "run as admin" is using a specific account "Administrator" or just my account "as an admin" somehow - could you clarify the above?

Ah so would I only have to do that once as "Administrator"? I thought I tried that but was still unable to "see" them in any of ArcGISPro's dialogues...I'll try that.

Seemingly at random, when I install/uninstall, repair or upgrade ArcGIS Pro somehow the "run as administrator" checkbox gets checked on the arcgis pro .exe file within Windows. When this occurs I've noticed that I can no longer see my network shares. "Run as administrator" seems like it should allow more access to the win system than less, so I'm just wondering if anyone has noticed this? I thought it might be a good idea to leave it on as I've had issues in the past cloning python environments in conda, updating/installing packages etc.
