ArcGIS Monitor does not cache collected data. If the ArcGIS Monitor agent is not able to communicate with the target component or the ArcGIS Monitor server, the data for this time will be empty. When the connection is available, the data automatically will be inserted. You could potentially leverage incidents, see https://doc.arcgis.com/en/monitor/latest/get-started/windows/incidents.htm . For example, you can mark the time in the past as known incidents, so user would know the reasons for the gaps in the data. Or if you know the future outage, you could schedule incident in the future and turn off monitoring and/or alerting.

@AlexBakhtin Thank you for this feedback. As far as high level storage estimates, for 5 min resolution, please budget 100 GB per 1000 components for 12 month retention. In the 2023.2 (planned for June 2023), we'll provide UI to change this default to lower. This will allow users to free up space. Can you provide more info regarding the type of components and collection interval? Are these mainly arcgis server services, collecting 5 min? How many arcgis server node? They all would collect process information, which might explain the storage usage. We'll update documentation shortly.

We verified: AWS Aurora PostgreSQL RDS works. As far as Active/Passive, the main challenge I see is that server and agents config files would have to be synchronized between Active and Passive nodes, see above back up help url.

1. We are running validation tests and will update our documentation shortly. 2. ArcGIS Monitor server or agent don't have HA capabilities. however, if the PG repository is in HA, restoring ArcGIS Monitor instance might be fairly quick. @SteveMcCarthy , two asks: 1. Can you share the expression for the process cpu, mem, instance? Is the expression the same for all processes? 2. pick one process metric from analysis and go to the individual metric. Is the chart "partial" or not?. In any case, I think the main issue is there are too many series and the charting framework limits the display. We can help you modify the expression to return fewer points.

@SteveMcCarthy I believe if you create 3 separate collections based on these labels. For example, if you create collection Prod using label Prod and go this collection>Alerts, effectively you would see only alerts labeled Prod. Did I understand your question?

@SteveMcCarthy it looks like the "partial" charts are for process metrics. It is expected behavior when processes are not present anymore, e.g. arcgis server restarted, service deleted, etc. You would see the same if go to this process metric using component UI (not analysis). What you showed above is a host metric, not process. Also, it looks like this analysis shows up to 97 processes. Depending on the resolution, the charting might limit it. In the next releases we'll introduce TOP features. In the meantime, you may need to modify the expression to reduce the number of series. I hope it helps.

In the meantime, perhaps you can utilize collections, including children (available in 2023.1). this way you'll have to label only the server. New or deleted services will be managed automatically.
