How do you format a text value inside the where statement? I'm trying to filter all features where COUNTY = "ADAMS" Seems my formatting is wrong, I am getting an error now that the URL is incorrect.

Hello, I'm wondering if there is a simple way I can modify the code to only download features that fit a certain criteria/query? I want to limit the features I download to only features that have a certain attribute. I feel like there would need to be another line of code to filter the data before the download begins, but I'm unsure how to go about this. If anybody could help that would be awesome! Thanks.

I have this exact issue - all layers load fine on web and android, but 1 layer will not load on my map in collector and windows. I cannot find any reason for this issue.

Doug, When I pull in a feature service from AGO using data driven pages, the dynamic attributes display the coded value domain rather than the domain description. I have domainlookup ="true" but it still shows the coded value. Have you found a workaround to this?

Sean, The method I posted was for a feature service that is hosted on ArcGIS Online. This may be different if your features are on ArcGIS Server.

I am randomly experience the same issue - running the newest version of collector on a Windows 10 Panasonic Toughpad. Randomly while the user is collecting data, they will be unable to submit edits, and they get the message that there is no internet connectivity. It was confirmed that the device did have an active data connection though (able to browse webpages, ect.) The only fix we have found is to uninstall and reinstall the application. Is there any way to fix this issue?

I just had this same issue. It's the "Display Field" that controls this, not the pop-up settings like I had thought (this controls what is shown here in ArcGIS Collector). You can edit the display field of your ArcGIS Online layer by opening the service layer of your feature, then opening up the admin screen by inserting "admin" between "rest" and "services" in the URL. Click "Update Definition" on the bottom of the screen. You will see the "Display Field" within the definition editor just a few lines down from the top. Change this to whatever field you want to display there. Also, you must change the number after "lastEditDate" in the definition editor to "" before you click save (just two quotations). Let me know if this works for you. ~Phil

Omur, Download the geodatabase from the Survey123 online portal and save to your desktop Open the table/feature class in ArcMap, and run the "Table to Excel" Tool (I always check the "Use field alias as column header" and "use domain and subtype description" options) Open the exported excel file and save as .xlsx In word (or excel) create your report template. Leave text boxes for the places where you will fill in your data from the survey When the template is complete, use the Mailings tab in word or excel to "select recipients" and "use existing List" and select your excel file (the .xlsx version) Now you can insert the fields where you want them. Open the text box, and click the "Insert Merge Field" button to insert the field. When all of the fields are linked with the correct place, you can "finish and merge" and each individual report will be filled in based on the survey data. ~Phil

I think you could also achieve the same thing using an ArcMap layout and data driven pages. This would allow you to add images and maps to the layouts as well.

I don't connect the Geodatabase directly to Word, rather I download the data that was collected using survey123 into a geodatabase, open the geodatabase in ArcMap and use the Feature Table to Excel tool, save the excel table, and link it to the word template to automatically fill in the values on the report. Here is an example of one of the reports: This method works, but is a very manual process. I'm sure I could write a script to automate a few of the steps, but I haven't had time to get around to it. It would be awesome if there would be a tool that would integrate directly with Survey123 or ArcMap

Yes, I am looking for this exact workflow. I've achieved something similar using a very lengthy workaround method (manually downloading geodatabase with collected data and utilizing the mailing function in Word) but nothing that connects natively with arcmap.

Hello, I just tried publishing a new survey based off an existing feature service published to ArcGIS Online. The feature service is a simple one, consisting of a point feature class and a related table. The point feature class has a field for NAME and a globalID field added. The related table is meant for inspections. It has a field for OUTFALLNAME, and a couple of other fields, as well as a GUID Field. The goal is to use Survey123 along with collector to collect inspection reports in the related table. I want the user to select a point in collector, click a custom URL to launch the survey123 app, and collect the inspection report data with the survey. I want the OUTFALLNAME to populate in the related table based on the NAME field in the feature class, and I want the inspection to relate to the original point that was clicked in collector. I believe this workflow is possible, but I cannot even get this sample survey to publish. I receive this error: The custom feature service submission url is not compatible with this survey. (Parent relationship Outfall not found for table OutfallInspection) Not sure what the issue is. The relationship is based on the GlobalID in the parent feature class (with a GUID field in the related table) and I followed the exceptions noted in this post: "As of 1.10, when you publish surveys from an existing feature service you have be aware of the following limitations: We only support working on top of hosted feature services (ArcGIS Online or Portal for ArcGIS). We did our best to add support for Federated Services in this release but we fell short of time. We plan on adding Federated Service support in early 2017. You will not be able to work with geodatabase related tables: If the name of the related table has spaces in its name. This is a known limitation that we will also address in the future. If the name of a field in a related table is repeated in the parent layer Geodatabase domains containing spaces in their name will create invalid choice lists in the XLSForm. For now, you will need to manually rename the choice lists in your XLSForm choices and survey worksheets to eliminate the spaces. Again, we will handle this in upcoming releases. Survey123 Connect will only let you choose private feature services. Creating surveys on top of existing public feature services is not supported at the moment. It is technically possible to work with non-federated ArcGIS Server services if you follow the step by step instructions as described in this Knowledge Base Article. The most common use-case for non-federated services is when you want to use your own ArcGIS Server in combination with surveys published in ArcGIS Online." Any ideas what my problem is and how I might achieve the desired workflow? Thanks, ~Phil

Hello, While using a utility map our our windows 10 devices, collector crashes whenever you click to identify a feature. The program just quits instantly. This problem was reproduced on a windows 10 desktop and windows 10 tablet, but the map works fine on collector running on an android phone. Not sure what the issue is here, but it's pretty frustrating. ~Phil

Hello, With the recent support for high accuracy GPS receives in the ArcGIS Collector application, we are looking to use a cm accuracy GPS receiver (EOS Arrow 200) to collect accuracy horizontal and vertical elevations. I am aware that GNSS will only allow me to collect vertical elevations within 2-4cm with an open sky, but that is enough for the application we are using it for. My question is, how does ArcGIS Collector handle collecting elevations? I don't have a ton of knowledge about Geoids and how this comes into play with the elevation values. Does ArcGIS Collector handle the geoid data? Is there some post processing or conversion I have to do to actually have an accuracy elevation value? Thanks for your help!
