Hello Everyone, I am trying to use the JSON To Features tool but I cannot find an example of how the JSON file should look so that it will convert correctly. The file that I have currently looks like this: {"rows":[[-9796.4038000004,5646764.8232,1955,"151 DALE PL SW"],[-9780.723199999898,5646761.819300001,1952,"155 DALE PL SW"],[-9764.6319000004,5646765.927300001,1954,"159 DALE PL SW"],[-9668.8421999998,5646720.6684,1955,"204 DALE PL SW"]],"metaData":[{"name":"XCOORD"},{"name":"YCOORD"},{"name":"BLDGCONSTYR"},{"name":"BLDGADDR"}]} Looking for some guidance on how this needs to be changed so that it can be imported. Or is there a different conversion tool that I should look at? Thanks for your time, Chris

Thanks Kelly. I've reached out to my colleague to confirm which template they are using and will work from the details you have provided. Have a good weekend!

Hello everyone, Looking at the following example DataGrid with zoom button | ArcGIS API for JavaScript I'm wondering what code would need to be added to allow a state to be clicked and have its record in the dbgrid highlited. Thanks for any help. Cheers

Hello everyone, I'm wondering how difficult & what would be involved to customize the layer display list on a web app template. For example the source map service for a web map/app may have 20 layers (a bunch that are there for display but don't need to be displayed in the layers list such as roads, water, rail...), but other layers that I do want to be available in a layers list so that the user can turn them on and off (i.e. building permit, business license...). Is it possible to have the map display all layers but then have the layers list display only the ones I want the user to be able to turn on/off? Thanks all

Thanks for your help. Reviewing the code you posted helped me notice that since the data I'm using is point data, I needed to change the selection symbol to be a SimpleMarkerSymbol (duh). Cheers, your help is much appreciated! Chris

Hi, thank you for your feedback. What I find if I change always use proxy to false, then when the page loads it asks me to log into arcgis. I log in and then the attribute data loads into the dbgrid but no points display on the map. If I set always use proxy to true then the data will load without requiring me to log in (as I assume the proxy handles that). Where I’m getting lost is that it loads data into the grid but not the points onto the map. The service is secured. Maybe should I has my IT group to share the service publicly then I can test it that way and see if the page loads the same way as I’m seeing it now? Thanks again

Hello everyone, I am trying to take the following sample code: DataGrid with zoom button | ArcGIS API for JavaScript and get it to work with my own feature layer. What's happening though is that the data is being loaded into the grid but the points are not displaying on the map. Nor does the functionality work when you click the zoom icon on one of the rows. I'm quite certain that my proxy is set up and working correctly. Appreciate any help. Thanks, Chris

Good morning Akshay, Thanks for your reply. The proxy is configured correctly with username/pwd and does work as I have tested it correctly using just a simple map. I am now trying to get it working using this accordion display. This accordion display used to work but my work has since implemented different security policies which is resulting in my needing to go down the proxy road. Thanks again for your help, I will take a look at the code you sent back. Chris

This may be related to a question I posted the other week, Javascript Error Message in Console . But I did get that working and am now trying to take the changes I made from that and am trying to implement them in the accordion pane layout. When I run the file for the accordion pane the data points load from the feature service but I get this error when I click the map to add a new point (see Error.png) I have also attached the source file Index2.html. Thanks for any help, much appreciated! Chris

Well, it seems that it works! Through lots of trial and error and following the proxy settings on https://github.com/Esri/resource-proxy/blob/master/DotNet/README.md Not sure how I initially missed those. I need to go away now and document what I did to make it work for future reference. I'll also come back to it after the long weekend and see if it still works! Thanks

So, I've finally gotten back to working on this and by looking at the IdentityManager samples I have it to where I log in once initially and the app does not error out when I subsequently try to use the feature service. Granted while this is not what I'm after it's at least shown me that it works (I think ). My ultimate goal with this application is to allow anyone to use the application and to add new point data (including attribute data) without the need to log in (these users won't even have AGOL accounts anyway). What I'm stumbling with right now is what do I need to add to the proxy.config file and to my index.html file (for now I'm just doing all code in the index file) to make this happen. I've found samples telling me what to do with proxy.config related to routing and the traffic service but I have not found examples that show me what to add to proxy.config and index.html to handle the login for unnamed users. Thanks everyone!

So, if I wasn't concerned about the whole using the proxy to manage username/password thing, wouldn't the Identity Manager prompt me for username/password everytime it tries to do something with the feature service? So far it only prompts me once for username/password when the application loads, then it just errors out when I try to do something else requiring the feature service. Thanks!
