Thanks Rene. Sounds like I should learn about leaflet. I have come across reference to it in my searches, but didn't know what it was, also I have map services that I also want to reference. So it sounds like it could be a match.

Just an additional question. I do not know why the folks who wrote the code that creates the GeoJSON file chose to create it in GeoJSON. Would things be easier for me if they had created it as JSON? Thanks, Chris

Thanks again Rene, looking at around 2000 records in the GeoJSON file. I'll follow up on your suggestion. Chris

Thanks Rene. I did read a bit at the terraformer site, but was under the impression that the coordinate restriction still applies?

Hello everyone, I have data that is stored in GeoJSON format that I would like to be able to display on a web map. Anything I have read so far about GeoJSON indicates that the data must be in Geographic Coordinates (wkid 4326). Which I believe this file is not? Based on the snippet below: {"crs":{
"properties":{
"name":"urn:ogc:def:crs:EPSG::3776"
},
"type":"name"
},
"features":[
{"geometry":{"coordinates":[5368.1140,5659635.35],"type":"Point"}, Can anyone indicate if my thinking is correct? If so am I out of luck with getting this data to display on a map? Thanks, Chris

So, I'm just looking at what's available for the presummit training. I was really hoping they would have a dojo course as they did last year. But they don't. They do have an AngularJS course, of which I really don't know what that is. The little reading I just did says that it's a javascript framework. I think dojo is also a framework (but much bigger than AngularJS, from what I read). Is there anything to be infered from there being a AngularJS cousre and not a dojo course? Is dojo still going to be as involved with the Javascript API? I was hoping to go down there and come away with a better knowledge of dojo. Looks like that's not going to happen. Anybody have any opinions? Cheers, Chris

Hi Jake, Thanks for your help. I seem to have mixed up in the version I posted of the new application file, as a few of those items you identified were corrected in a question I posted yesterday by Tim Witt. Guess I need to clean up my versions and files. Thanks for the other items you brought forward to me. Much appreciated Chris

I am trying to move an application from just using frames to using an accodian container. Heres what I currently have and it seems to work ok: Here's what I'm looking to change it to, using 2 parts in the accordian container (one for legend, one for the template picker). I've moved all of my code over from the old application that works to the new one, but it would seem it is not that simple to get it working (heck, the point data isn't even displaying in the map). If someone could show me or point me to some code that will help me figure out how I need to code my application to get it working in this new template I'd be very appreciative. Here's a snapshot of what I'm looking at in the new application for look: I've attached 2 zip files, AddRecord_V6 is the old application, index.zip is what I have so far for the new version. Cheers, Chris

Hello everyone, I have a javascript application which looks like this: I am trying to change it to use a modified version of the "Map container split in three" template: https://developers.arcgis.com/javascript/jssamples/layout_mapcontainersplitinthree.html My goal is to have something that looks like this: But what I've got (after moving my code over) is this: I've attached the files I modified in an attempt to get my code working in the new template. Thanks for the help, it's very appreciated! Chris

I now have it looking as below. What I find interesting is if I try to move the text "Click the pin..." into the div with the add comment pin, for example I tried this: <div id="templatePickerDiv>abc</div>. When the page renders the "abc" is drawn underneath the "Add Comment". Can you tell me: 1. what is the significance of !important 2. As far as design goes, what's best? I currently have 2 div's within a left pane. It looks ok, I guess, but is there a better way I should look at doing this? Thanks, Chris
