Hi Barry, I'm unsure if I understand the workflow in your post. You install ArcGIS for SharePoint on a SharePoint site. The web part is added and configured like any other web part on a SharePoint page, which can be accessed within an intranet as long as users have the appropriate permissions to the page. Hope this helps,

Hi John, ArcGIS for SharePoint is a SharePoint solution and I believe it is x86/x64 agnostic. ArcGIS for SharePoint v1.1 installs on SharePoint 2007, which has both x64 and x86 installs available. So I think if you install ArcGIS for SharePoint v1.1 on your SharePoint 2007 site it should work. Hope this helps,

Hi Nick, There are plenty of online resources available from Esri's Resource Centers. I would start with the following: > What is ArcSDE? - help topic > A quick tour of administering ArcSDE geodatabases - help topic > Enterprise Geodatabase 101 - ArcUser article > Essential ArcSDE geodatabase vocabulary - help topic There are also some informative posts on the Geodatabase Dev Blog. Hope this helps,

Hi Gary, A1. InfoPath is not required for ArcGIS for SharePoint to work. A2. You will need an internet connection if you want to access and use ArcGIS Online basemaps, locators, and geometry services. Alternatively, if you do not want to access the internet, then you can access these types of resources from your own ArcGIS Server/ArcGIS Portal instance on your internal network. This can be enabled by modifying the configuration files in the document libraries and lists. Please review the help doc in the resource center for details. A3. You will need to provide more details. Hope this helps,

Hi Jagadeesh, ... Based on above information ArcSDE is no longer now. and the ArcSDE Techology is intergerated with both ArcGIS Desktop 10 and ArcGIS Server as per esri information. ... how it is related these things with the ArcSDE and how we can connect ArcSDE without install. ... To clarify, since the 9.2 release ArcSDE is no longer a separate product offering. However, it is still a software product with its own installation, and is now included in the "product box" with both ArcGIS for Desktop and ArcGIS for Server. ArcGIS for Desktop (at the ArcEditor and ArcInfo levels) includes ArcSDE technology for SQL Server Express (aka. Personal ArcSDE). ArcSDE technology is a separate installation from Desktop. It enables you to create Desktop Geodatabases. ArcGIS for Server also includes ArcSDE technology in 2 offerings: 1. ArcGIS for Server Workgroup (all editions) includes ArcSDE technology for SQL Server Express (aka. Workgroup ArcSDE). ArcSDE technology is a separate installation from Server. It enables you to create Workgroup Geodatabases. 2. ArcGIS for Server Enterprise (all editions) includes Enterprise ArcSDE technology which can be installed on several different DBMS platforms (e.g., DB2, Informix, Oracle, PostgreSQL, and SQL Server). Enterprise ArcSDE technology is a separate installation from Server. It enables you to create Enterprise Geodatabases. FYI: There are 3 types of multiuser ArcSDE geodatabases: Enterprise, Workgroup, and Desktop. Types of multiuser ArcSDE geodatabases I suggest you review the ArcGIS help documetation for more information and specifics of each type of ArcSDE geodatabase. Hope this helps,
