Hi Robert, Ha yeah I forgot to un-comment that out, however, even with that it still doesn't work properly. It seems that nothing on the results tab (top right corner - circled in second image) wants to work. Thanks, Jesse

Hey everyone, I recently found a widget that Robert S. had created to search a layer on date ranges, however I am having issues trying to get the zoom and ping functionality working. I'm not the most adept in the Flex department, however I managed to upgrade the code and make the necessary changes to get it working (pre 4.0 sdk). That being said, this thing is archaic, and there may be a decent amount of code that is just not needed. Anyways,I attached a few images that may help show the basic functionality of the widget; on the second image I circled the buttons that are not functioning correctly. Also attached is the .mxml. Thanks, Jesse

Could you create a widget that removes Web AppBuilder's dependency on Portal/AGOL? In all seriousness, an Advanced Identify widget would be ideal (one where you could identify within buffers or user drawn polygons).

Jeff, Thanks for the quick response. The site itself… http://map.sccmo.org ..is based off of Larry Stout’s code from Hamilton County, IN. Most widgets on the current site are indeed from the Flex Builder, but almost all have been modified (with at least a few snippets of custom code). I have been communicating with Mr. Stout - for he too is making the switch, but would definitely appreciate it if you looked at the site’s functionality. The more input on the matter, the better. Anyways, happy holidays and thanks! Jesse Hopkins GIS Analyst Department of Information Systems St. Charles County Government 201 N. Hello, I am a GIS Analyst for a county government, and I am in the initial planning stages of switching the county's web map from a (customized) Flex Viewer - based application to something that uses the JavaScript API and/or Web AppBuilder. I'm looking to maintain the advanced functionality of the current site all while leaving Flex behind, so something that is "out of the box" would most likely be "out of the question". Has anyone had experience in doing this? If so, what risks were involved? What would be the most efficient way to do this? I have a decent amount of experience with JS so custom coding is not a huge deal. At first, the application would need to keep similair widgets (do not want to change everything all at once!); is there the risk of losing some of our widgets and/or functionality when switching to a JS-based application? Any advice on this switch would be greatly appreciated! Thanks! Jesse

Robert, I'm sorry, I know my code is somewhat messy and confusing! query2.outFields only contains ATTACHMENTID because that query is querying off of the table that contains the field ATTACHMENTID. Only the feature class (which is queried by query1) contains the OBJECTID field. Having to use GlobalIDs with a relationship class has caused a world of pain. After weeks of struggling with it..I actually just got the images to show up within the application. I had to embedd function:"onResult2" within function:"onResult" that way the attributes from featureSet:FeatureSet (which is from the first query) can be pulled. Pulling these attributes allows function:"onResult2" to be able to view and use the field name represented by "pathField" and "path" which properly completes the URL so that the images can be viewed. Again sorry for the confusion, thanks a lot for the quick responses and help. Jesse

Robert, I am using version 2.3.1..upgrading eventually. Both queries run fine and get results (the long URL's in the attachment: query1_2.jpg). I tried taking your advice, but at the time (before I changed a few things around), I wasn't able to get both queries to work properly. Now that I have changed a few things, I may be able to use query.where for both. I also attached is a snip showing the URL result after both queries run. I'd send you to the actual rest page but this application is currently internal. Thanks, Jesse

Robert, I apologize, that was just a section of the widget's code. Attached is the full code. "pathField" and "pathField2" originate between lines 441 and 476. I've debuged as much as I could and found that problem lies within the onResult2 function (line 1404), and how I cannot pull the query results from the first query (line 1378) - the function just pulls what was queried last. I'm not sure if you will upload this into FlashBuilder or what, but if so, the warnings on lines 227 and line 588 can be ignored. Thanks so much for your help. Jesse

Robert, I am so close to getting this code to work correctly, but looks like I need just a little push. Essentially, I'm trying to embed queries in order to display images using the identify widget. GlobalID's are still causing a problem so this is my attempted workaround. There is a very good chance that this code is redundant and could be shortened. I'm having troubles getting the function:onResult2 to use the results from queryTask1 AND querytask2 to display an output. The desired output would be a request URL that shows something like:http://server/company/rest/services/appservices/damage_assessment_2014_Offline/MapServer/0/OBJECTID/attachments/2 where OBJECTID would be an actual objectid, not the word. However, I am getting a request URL of:http://server/company/rest/services/appservices/damage_assessment_2014_Offline/MapServer/0//attachments/2. I know that the variable path is not being used in the function because pathField is most likely empty. Any chance you could offer up some suggestions on how to get the results of both queries in function: onResult2? The section of code is attached as a text file. Thank you Jesse Hopkins

Robert, I'll go ahead and give that a shot. I've come to realize that when using query.text, the Text attribute on the rest page fills in, but the query does not work unless I remove the currly brackets "{" fromthe GlobalID. Anyways thanks for the quick response, this should probably work. Jesse

Robert, I am using your Identify Widget for version 2.3.2.1 (Yes I know that I am a little behind on the times with Flex, hope to be upgrading soon), and I am troubles showing photos when using GlobalIDs with an attachment table - GlobalIDs are required for offline photo collection and feature editing. Being that I am still learning Flex, the solution and/or workaround is currently as clear as mud. Here is the querytask part of the code where I have been trying to work on a solution: var queryTask:QueryTask = new QueryTask(tableUrl); queryTask.proxyURL = proxyUrl; var query:Query = new Query(); query.text = photoKeyVal; query.outFields = new Array(pathField, pathField2, dateField, descrField); // query.returnGeometry = false; queryTask.execute(query, new AsyncResponder(onResult, onFault)); For query.text = photoKeyVal where photoKeyVal is set to "ObjectID" it works, but when photoKeyVal is set to the GlobalID the query fails. I know that, with attachments, it's only possible to query off of the ObjectID from the Feature class, and Attachment ID from Attachment table. Anyways, if you (or anyone else) could help provide a workaround or solution to my problem it would be much appreciated. Please let me know if more code samples or a better explanation of my problem is required. Jesse

Hi, Any update on this issue? I'm also having the same problem with the attachments not having a file type associated with them when they are collected in offline mode. In the attachments table under the field [ATT_NAME], the value for a sample picture is just "Photo 1" not "Photo 1.jpg" (which is how it is when collected online). Weird.

Hello, I'm using Collector 10.2.2 and having problems with my map thumbnails updating. Collector is installed on two iPads, but the thumbnails are only updating on one of them. Has anyone else had this problem? Thanks! Jesse
