Hi again, Yes, the network analysis within CityEngine is a cool thing. The tool calculates the 'integration' value and stores this information as object attributes, then assigns the a rule that does that color-coding. If you have GIS data, the workflow would be very similar: When you import GIS data (streets) with attributes, the GIS attributes are also imported and inherited to the dynamic street shapes. You then can create a rule to colorize each shape based on your attribute. I assume you don't have a lot experience in CGA yet, right ? Hope this helped a bit so far ? Cheers ! Hi, What is the data you are trying to represent in colors? CityEngine can not run network analyst. For this, you'd have to export the street segments as polyline features to ArcGIS, then do the network analysis there. Note that the current graph exporter only supports linear street center lines, not curved ones. Hi, Sorry, missed that part. No, the effects do not come over. Then I'd create e.g. one or more layers with bright red and/or transparent arrows, .. to indicate your information. But the geometries will be static. E.g. you could create .dae or .obj elements and place them in the scene as static objects. Ok ? matt Matthias Buehler Head of 3D Technologies twitter: @MattB3D -------------------------------- Garsdale Design Limited +44 (0) 15396 20875 matthias.buehler@garsdaledesign.co.uk www.garsdaledesign.co.uk

Hey ! I see. Well, you can do arrows and such as geometry of course, but it'll all be static. And there's no specific FX such as glow, sparkle or shine.. For this, you'll need to export to an other tool, e.g. Unity or to render images with those effects. Ok ? Hi, Please notice as an 'fyi' that CityEngine (behind the scenes) always stores stuff in meters. If you e.g. select a vertex of an imported dataset that came from a projection in feet, the coordinate components will still be in meters. Also, the Navigation Display just shows the live-recalculated values in the projection you define in the Navigation Display settings.Means if the SCS is feet-based, the coordinates of the mouse pointer are just recalculated and displayed from the actual metric values. Hi! CityEngine has no animation features. But what you can do is the following, in a WebScene: Create bookmarks (the star button above the viewport). The bookmarks then are exported to the WebViewer. In the Webviewer, you get a play button (with screenshots) that animates between these camera positions. Play with this, ok ? Hi .. this sort of building is very tricky to do in CityEngine.. but as Chris mentioned, try the roof operations or even better envelope() since it has greater control. coding such geometries differently be tricky .. do you have more examples of what you need to reach ? Hi Bruno ! This 'should' work without issues. I assume you made sure that you picked the master rule ( most top ). As far as I know, all scripts are combined into 1 'big' script. Let me know how things work for you.. Maybe add a few screenshots.. Matt Matthias Buehler Head of 3D Technologies Garsdale Design Ltd.
