Giosia, The likely issue is that your RequestToken function is not returning before your code attempts to use that token string. Try using the actual token string in you action script code and see if that works if you don't like that then listen for your RequestToken function to return before you add your ArcGISDynamicMapServiceLayer.

dhellriegel, The only child elements that a map can have are elements like layers, spatial reference, extent, etc. If you want a panel in your app than it needs to be added as a child to the application on top of the map so that it's visible. You can add a canvas with a width of 100% and Height of 100% to the application and add any child element to it that you want.

dhellriegel, The problem is that there are very few (only 2 widgets that I can think of) widgets that are in the code gallery that are not explicitly designed for the SFV framework. You can not just take a widget that is designed for the SFV and add it to a non-SFV project without some moderate reworking of the code. The Weather Underground Widget is one that I produced that the download contains a non-SFV and a SFV version of the widget. The Weather Underground Widget also would be a good one to study as to how you can take a SFV widget and make it a non-SFV widget. It will require you to take the time to compare each version and see the differences. No matter what you need to be prepared to do alot of code adjustment if you want to use SFV widget in a non-SFV app. Another one is the Redlining Graphics Toolbar

Lee, I agree with Drew When you look at your REST service directory page you have several map services listed as cached but if you look at them they do not have tile info information. Take your 2 Aerials map services. the one that says AerialsCahed has not tile info but the on that is just Aerials does...? All you other services with cached in their name do not have tile info data. If you are sure that these services were cached then try a server reboot. Check that there are folder in the ArcGISCache folder that are named your cached map services names and that they have sub folders that are like Layers\_alllayers\L01 and have images in them.

dhellriegel, http://server/mapService is not a complete url. Open a web browser and type in http://localhost/ArcGIS/rest/services This should take you to the "ArcGIS Services Directory" web page and there you will see a list of services you have published. Click on one of them and then look at your web browsers address, what you see there is the correct url to use.

Mario, The issue I see is here var url = navigateToURL (new URLRequest(infoData.link)); the navigateToURL does not return anything so setting the var url to it is doing nothing. navigateToURL is opening a window, but it does not take any of the features that are var'd below into account. Try this code //show link
private function showLink():void
{
var url:String = infoData.link;
var window:String = "_blank";
var features:String = "toolbar=no,location=no,resizable=no,directori es=n o,status=no,scrollbars=no,copyhistory=no,width=450 ,height=360";
var WINDOW_OPEN_FUNCTION:String = "window.open";
ExternalInterface.call( WINDOW_OPEN_FUNCTION, url, window, features );
}
