Faisal, I don't see anything wrong with your code except that I would call SiteContainer.addEventListener(AppEvent.DATA_UPDAT ED, sharedDataUpdated); outside of the if configXML actually before the if configXML.

Ian, The if (requestCount == pResults.length) was added for those people that have more than one map service added to their map. I am not sure why this would stop working just because you upgraded your server to 10...

Nathan, The SFV 1.3 has two livemapwidgets in it you are likely editing the livemapswidget in the flexviewer folder but the one that your app is using is the one from the esa folder.

Vijayashree, If you downloaded the source code from the ESRI link using Internet Explorer than the project archive(zip file) could be corrupted. Try re-downloading using Fire Fox or chrome.

Matt, When you go to the link that you provided the REST Service Directory tells you that you are working with a dynamic map service and not a tiled one. You can determine this by seeing that there is no LOD defined in the service directory. So all you need to do is change the type="dynamic" in your config.xml and you should be good to go.

API Team, Several times I have asked for an event to added to the API that would fire when the visibleLayers ArrayCollection of a layer has changed and you have always said that I could just listen for the visibleLayers ArrayCollection change event. Well I have tried and tried again and I can not seem to get your suggestion to work... Here is what I an trying: ArcGISDynamicMapServiceLayer(layer).visibleLayers.addEventListener(CollectionEvent.COLLECTION_CHANGE,updateVisibilty); Can you assist me in getting your suggestion to work?

Nehru, You need to check your spelling as Flex is 100% case sensitive. Also did you add your new widget to your project modules list? I was able to copy and paste your code into a flex project and add it to the modules list and see it right off, so you are just missing something simple.

Naty, It is extremely difficult to call a function from the Controllers menu item. There is just nothing setup for that and although I have done it it is ALOT of code changes. I would suggest looking at some other avenue.
