A simple hosted feature layer, collegue's use it offline in collector. Somehow it grew two CreationDate, Creator, EditDate and Editor fields. or at last the aliases are the same, the fieldname shows CreationDate and CreationDate_1 and so on. This is very annoying when I base the symbology on the CreationDate and at a point in time CreationDate_1 is getting used instead. Also it is confusing when using for example the definitionquery as that uses the Alias'es: I would like to know: - what I did wrong to cause the creation of the extra fields - How to clean it up so i can get rid of the surplus fields Thank you for your time, Bert

We use iphones and ipads and they work great, no 'classic' only collector. Should you consider using an external gnss antenna because of better accuracy than your average phone perhaps read this: Prepare for high-accuracy data collection—Collector for ArcGIS | Documentation because not all gnss antenna's are cerfified with all smartphones so when you choose android (or ios) today you may limit your choices tomorrow. Support told me the default value for the datefield (12/30/1899) is exactly what triggers the bug (their words). It should be fixed by now, in the end I worked around by using arcmap 10.6 which works fine with my dataset.

After some editing in the attributetable, nothing fancy, just some text update, I get this error once or twice a day. after that, attribute table displays columns but no records I use arcgis pro 2.5.1, on a virtualized windows 10 machine having 4 cores and 16GB of which about 5 is still free When I close arcgis pro, restart and re-open the project all is ok ... Anyone else seen this?

Hello Dan and Xander, Sorry it took a while before i could get back on this, thanks for both your reactions. I found this to do what I wanted: if creator is empty copy value from creator_1 else take current value. Unclear why the else is needed but if i omit that the field gets emptied (null) Is there a arcade for dummies somewhere? I can't find much help from the reference Bert

I try to clean up an attributetable using calculate field and arcade, some records have their creator in a column 'creator_1' instead of creator so I wrote: IIf(IsEmpty($feature.Creator),$feature.Creator_1,$feature.Creator) But all I get is: Invalid expression. error on line 1. Open parenthesis expected I've looked at the arcade reference and other sources I could think of but I can't see what i'm doing wrong. ArcGIS PRO 2.5.1 your help would be appreciated! regards, Bert

A collegue used collector to record some records but a datefield wasn't filled. I decided to use arcade to fill the field: But instead of May 11th I see June 10th. This is so confusing. I understand that date is stored in utc but displayed in my local timezone (I'm near Amsterdam) so I was expecting some hours difference but this seems more than a month. What am I doing wrong? regards, Bert

I found it. I'm on an old windows 7 machine in the Netherlands, perhaps thats the reason. I changed my regional settings to 'US' which solved the problem.

I just noticed an odd map scale: I can type something like 1:1.000.000 but that doesn't do anything useful. the same happens in multiple projects or when just creating a new project with an empty map Anyone an idea on what I'm doing wrong?

I do this every day to visualise progress of a project, until a few days ago everything was as expected including the attribute table. I would be able to PM you the file should you want.

I've downloaded the feature layer as a .gdb from our own arcgis online, so it arrived as a zipfile with the gdb named something like 0f4a0f952f304cd39bf3594141fad64c.gdb

I loaded a point feature layer with 178 records in arcgis pro 2.5. Everything is showing in the map as expected. But my attribute table is not showing: the switch button switches the selected rows but shows nothing. The Fields View button results in Other layers in the map are showing their attribute tables ok. the layer shows up OK in arcmap 10.6 and the attribute table is visible also in 10.6. I downloaded the layer as gdb from agol. I have done this before and had no problems earlier. thanks for your time, Bert

Thank you very much Egge-Jan. Yes loading WFS in a WMS might not be a good idea so this had to fail anyway. I will build upon your example on TWIAV. Kind regards, Bert Kraan
