If you are looking to get a location from an address the geocoder is exactly what you want.  If you are looking to get "stuff nearby" like businesses, etc, from a map click, then that functionality is not available unless you have the "stuff" in your own spatial database. ... View more

Is there anyway to make a TextSymbol multi-lined?  Our map is quite small and many of the labels go off the map so I need to reduce the width of the label by putting some values onto two lines. Does the geometryService.Project() method work with polygons?  According to the documentation, it should work for any geometries, but I can only get it to work with points.  When I try using it to reproject a polygon, it returns nothing. Thank you for your replying. I solved the problem of zoom level. But I still have a question. That is when I don't contain the following code <script type="text/javascript" src="http://ajax.googleapis.com/ajax/libs/dojo/1.6/dojo/dojo.xd.js" djConfig="parseOnLoad: true"></script> then dijit.layout.TabContainer and BorderContainer etc will not function normally... Therefore, is my code having some bug? Since the javascript API includes dojo, you don't need to call the full path to a standalone dojo. all you need is dojo.require("dijit.layout.TabContainer"); dojo.require("dijit.layout.BorderContainer "); etc.. ... It works in Chrome 13 and IE 8 but not in Firefox 5. Basically, you need to interact with the map first by zooming or panning before the onclick returns something. I had this problem in Flex and got around it by adding in an alert box in the initialization. Closing the alert box provided the map interaction necessary to allow the map click to work without panning or zooming.
