There is two ways of keeping up-to-date: Using github (fork, commit your modification to your repo and pull our repo after we release). To be able to do that you have to use the source code and not the user download. Split your modification into separate files or at very isolated places in index.html. Map Tour is in a stable phase, we don't change existing functionality every release so updates should be straightforward.

Hi Jon, Nothing close to Map Tour UI but other options for multiple webmaps are the tabbed viewer and the Atlas (not a storymaps).

Hi, Sorry for inconvenience. Your data should not be lost but your geometries are likely to be invalid. What template are you using? How did you change the webmap, using ArcGIS.com viewer or the builder? Was there something specific to your data and basemap (different projection...). Are your picture stored in a Feature Service? With more details I may be able to help more but from now your best hope is to try fixing your geometries using ArcGIS.com viewer by switching back to your previous basemap for example.

I guess this is not specific to a StoryMaps template? I would suggest you move your question to one or maybe multiple of these group: ArcGIS Online, ArcGIS API for JavaScript, OGC and Standards.

No that's not possible without custom development. That's a popular feature request that we are considering to include. Thanks

Yes the downloadable version include the builder. The only requirement is that you need to have configured the Tour with an application id (not a webmap id). The easiest way is to create your application id using the hosted version of the Map Tour and reuse it with the downloadable. To open the builder, append '?edit' or '&edit' at the end of your application URL. Some more information in the FAQ. You will need to login with the application owner credential.

I confirm both of your answer 🙂 We have seen couple of implementation of a slide-show mode in MapTour. This is something we are for a further release of MapTour. From now I can give sample code to get you started but it would require development skills. Map Tour builder look for picture location metadata and will use them when you add a new point to pre-locate the new point location: when you are uploading picture from your computer in a Feature Service (on modern browser IE9+) when using picture hosted in Flickr/Picasa/Facebook (see import dialog for help as those service by default don't expose picture location in their API) The point location is then saved in a webmap layer, so any update to the picture location metadata won't be reflected in the app.

As far as I know the Topographic Basemap has quite consistent data at high scale in the US, Europe and Japan. Maybe you are using the Terrain basemap? How is your webmap displaying in ArcGIS.com viewer? If the basemap hasn't the same behavior in ArcGIS.com and MapTour let me know. Otherwise i hope you will find another basemap that fits your need.

Hi, I'm not sure about the icon issue, I would need to take a look at your application. Please share it here or privately. Changing the dimension of any Map Tour UI elements require development skills to override some CSS and/or Javascript. The desktop carousel isn't the most easy to customize and we don't have any sample to provide. We are thinking about providing more configuration options and developer documentation to customizing the UI in a further release.

This blog post should answer your question about using image uploaded in ArcGIS Online. For the hosted version of Map Tour and Swipe template you can enter the logo URL through Settings>Header.

Ok that's perfectly normal. Sorry but I can't do much more to help. It is probably a network or browser issue. Please try with other network, computer or browser to see if only your computer is affected.

Yes I can access your application. It may be a network issue. Are you able to open the webmap in ArcGIS Online on the same computer? Maybe try a different browser.
