Hi, It should not be too hard to port that enhancement to Map Series. The most simple for you would be to add the code to index.html. We have a full guide on GitHub Esri/map-series-storytelling-template-js · GitHub You will want to download the user version of the application, edit index.html at this line map-series-storytelling-template-js/index.html at master · Esri/map-series-storytelling-template-js · GitHub you will need to require the combox that way require(["dijit/form/ComboBox"], function(ComboBox){ // Place your code here });

Hi, Another lead, this behavior can happen if your organization has one of the following security feature turned on (this is accessible to Organization Administrator). If this first option is enabled you have to make sure to access the Journal over https and include the web scene over https: https://myorg.maps.arcgis.com/home/webscene/viewer.html?webscene= If the second feature is not enabled, you have to use the following URL when embedding your scene www.arcgis.com/home/webscene/viewer.html?webscene= instead of myorg.maps.arcgis.com/home/webscene/viewer.html?webscene=

Hi, I would go for a firewall issue but other ArcGIS Online apps should have the same issue then. Could you check if you can open the following apps? https://uwe.maps.arcgis.com/apps/MapJournal/index.html?appid=e1533caf14d541b48f7db92c0380dd7a http://story.maps.arcgis.com/apps/MapSeries/index.html?appid=597d573e58514bdbbeb53ba2179d2359 http://www.arcgis.com/apps/MapTour/?appid=40657c53457e49d5923da06bbab4ce36

Sorry about your issue. I have been able to fix it, and the arcg.is link generated by the application is now working. The bit.ly link continue to works too. You should not have experienced that issue, we haven't heard other stories impacted by that issue so I hope this was a little glitch on bit.ly side.

Good suggestion, thanks. This was not doable until last release as the bullet used to overlap the Main Stage so legend as a dropdown would look awkward but since last release the bullet don't overlap the Main Stage anymore so we can look into this. Stay tuned.

Unfortunately there is no simple button to do just that yet, but you can doing by following a little procedure that is documented at the following link Re: How do you duplicate or copy a Map Journal? This will works well for Map Journal, Map Series and Swipe/Spyglass. For Map Tour that would not work well as you also need to duplicate the webmap so the most simple is that you create a new Map Tour from the web map.

Hi, Thanks. It looks like the reason your Tour do not save is that your webmap is a bit heavy, so depending on your bandwidth it can timeout. That would also probably happen to you when you are using the map viewer. In the webmap, you have one layer, whose geometry are maybe not simplified enough. To make your webmap more lightweight, you could simplify it or you can do is to save the layer as a separate item using. That way your webmap should save very fast.

Hi, Sorry about your issue but thanks for taking the time, that last Map Tour gave me a lead. The web map associated with the Tour is http://www.arcgis.com/home/webmap/viewer.html?webmap=a7d55448cfea47379cfbe93a2b287552 If you try to open the attribute table, you will get an error that let me think that when you created your tour you must have copy/pasted some text that ArcGIS Online don't like. This can happen when you are copy/pasting content from the web or rich text editor like Word into the builder. One thing you could do is to copy/paste the text into a simple editor like notepad before copy/pasting into builder. By doing that you may or not notice some weird character in your text. Remove those if you see them. Hope this helps

Hello, You should not have any specific configuration. Is the web scene published with the same account than the Map Journal? I have seen that with Portal for ArcGIS because of security restriction. Is your web scene hosted on a Portal? It must be something along those lines but if you can share a link to your Journal that would help diagnose (make sure that the Journal and the web scene are public).

Sorry about this, are you using the Story Map Basic application or do you mean that the app is simple? If you are not using the Basic, what app? You can see the list of Story Maps apps at Apps | Story Maps I would not be surprised if it's Map Tour. It often happen if you copy/paste text from a text editor like word or use HTML markup. If that can be your case, the best would be that you edit your tour point description to remove the text until it saves.

You are correct. common/builder/media is the media dialog that is available for the Main Stage configuration and when you use this feature of CKEditor. For the editor it's storymapsInlineMedia/plugin.js that is doing the work of creating the proper html markup that CKEditor will use. If what you are trying to add a feature fits well into a media, you could edit those two classes and add your stuff there but you don't have to and I would not recommend that you go that way if it don't really fit well. The other way is that you develop a new plugin and reference it through tpl/builder/addedit/ViewText.js. Look in that file for reference to storymapsInlineMedia to see how to add it, it's pretty easy. If your plugin is using resources like icons, you will have to edit the Gruntfile.js to make sure that there are copied too, see line 228 or 245 that copy resources for ckeditor community plugin and storymaps plugin. To get started more easily I would start the development in builder/ckeditor/plugins/ and duplicate the storymapsAction plugin.

You are welcome, sorry about that. Make sure to track your action and reload the application often, it looks like the layer was deleted from the map and this should not happen without any manual action.

Something must be really wrong. If it doesn't load after couple of seconds, it's not going to load. We have a tool that should help you diagnose what can have gone wrong, if you can sign-in at My Stories | Story Maps , and click on the story that has errors and let me know how it looks.

😕 Does the application open using the following link https://yan-tribe.maps.arcgis.com/apps/MapTour/?appid=66931cf696ea485a88d7301e82d14080&edit ?/external-link.jspa?url=https://yan-tribe.maps.arcgis.com/apps/MapTour/?appid=66931cf696ea485a88d7301e82d14080&edit If you can open the application, you would need to share it publicly so I can diagnose it, you can do that using those buttons If you can't, something have gone really wrong. I suggest you try one more time. Reload the application every once in a while after you save so hopefully you can see what goes wrong.
