Ryan, Unfortunately this is not correct. If you re-read the original post you will see that I mention that it is very much possible to navigate to the group in one of those accounts and view the attachments in the data tab for the layer. So the permissions issue is not global in AGOL, but being expressed entirely through the application.

That's correct. I had other components that were not public, and that resolved that issue. However, we would prefer to not have to make this public. Any thoughts on the original problem?

Additional follow-up - we made the application public in the attempt to circumvent the credentials. No dice. Even once public in an incognito tab the instant app still asks for credentials, and then responds as described above. Non-org accounts cannot view the associated attachments, while org accounts can.

I will send item id as a message. And yes there was an error in DevTools: failed to load Web Map. This also seems to occur for any out-of-org account, not just Community accounts.

There have been a handful of Attachment Viewer questions already (here, here, and here, but none seem to capture quite the behavior I'm seeing. The "No Attachments Found" error is only occurring for Community accounts. The applications works fine and displays attachments for anyone with a regular organizational account with access to the group where the application lives. However, if one uses a community account to access the application they'll have access just fine, but they'll see a "No Attachments Founds" error. If logged into a Community account, however, one can navigate to the group, the layer which is used in the app, and then view the attachments in the Data tab, so it doesn't seem to be an issue with access or credentials, per se. I would like to know if there is a workaround or if the product is non-functional at the moment, as we'd like to keep using our community accounts for this purpose. Paging @RyanLibed, @KellyHutchins or @ManishPatel, who seem to be familiar with these issues from previous threads.

@DerrickWestoby Thank you for the reply. I will try to investigate that. If I only had to follow one element of Esri's platform it would be a lot easier to hang on every blog post/update, but that's just not how it is. It's a constant pain to have your workflows eroded out from under you just because.

Is there a known workaround for importing metadata as part of a model in Modelbuilder? The old desktop tools are not available in Pro. You can do so graphically using the Catalog view in Pro so the functionality exists but I can't find how to weave it into a model. We get data from another agency on a regular schedule that we need to clean up and reshape slightly to our purposes. I created a tool in Modelbuilder so it can be standardized and easily replicated, and I would like to be able to import the metadata from the previous version of the dataset, so I don't have to do it using the catalog view after-the-fact. Is there a standard procedure for integrating this functionality into Modelbuilder? Thanks!

@AlixVezina Thank you for this. I do understand it better now. It's intuitive enough, and I was probably overthinking it. Regarding documentation: Much of Esri's documentation is more 'play by play' than 'color commentary.' It is often a statement of the obvious, rather than providing additional examples or documentation how something actually works. This is a poignant example, as the documentation for the button in question states: "the append expressions to map filter button allows you to append expressions to existing map filters." Very helpful. If I'm looking for documentation on something I probably want more than just a re-iteration of the name of the tool. That's cherry picking a bit, as there's a little more detail below, but lots of AGOL documentation reads just like that, more a naming of the buttons/features associated with a tool/widget/whatever rather than an explanation of how they might be used.

Thanks for that. That did the trick, sort of. I was at least able to produce the report. I'm using 3.12 and still have that as an option... Interesting though is that it no longer seems to pull from the appropriate map. I specify the item id for the map in question, but it seems to pull from the map embedded in the report window. The image it pulls now.... And the specified web map, which the reports used to pull from pre-update.... Maybe time to page @ZhifangWang, as they responded in the linked post, and may be familiar with the changes that have undermined things.

@MatthewCarey Thanks for the link. Can you elaborate on what fixed your issue? I am finding documentation on field types in this context to be scant. Mine is configured as such: The cases I've seen have expressed issues with field type being incorrect (like the link you sent) or the value being null or needing to be null. Having trouble imagining what my bind type should be other than what it is.

@AlixVezina Thank you. I could have read this documentation more closely, as I was thinking only about filters applied through the web app, rather than those that existed in the web map itself. I still don't think this is a satisfactory explanation for what occurred, however. With the box unchecked it overrides the filter, in a way, but that's no explanation for why it replicates the data and makes it appear as if it is attributed in a particular way when it isn't. It made every record appear as if it was compliant with every filter as it existed in the web map...that's not just overriding filters, but something else entirely.

I have a feature report template, an element of which renders a basic map of the polygon record in question. The report generated just fine as recently as July. The season has calmed down, I'm back to run reports and I get an error message that says mapSettings is no longer supported. Below is a screenshot of the report template. Below is the result that it produced just fine in July... And this is the error that's cropping up now when I try to run the report.... mapSettings is still listed as available in the documentation for the feature reports, and lists it as still being valid for the geoshape field. Below is the format for the geometry field in Survey123 Connect. So......what gives? Any help would be greatly appreciated, as nothing has changed on our end for how reports were run, and we made a few hundred of these earlier in the summer.

Turns out a case was not necessary. A box at the bottom to "Append all expressions to existing map filter" needs to be checked (the default option, "Append any expression....." does not work). Simple fix, though I can't say I understand what's really going on.
