I am attempting to use the Group Filter widget in a configurable web app and it appears to multiply the records based on the number of layers in the group filter. I have a dataset that contains a multi-level approval workflow. The dataset in the web map that underpins the web app is replicated as four different layers, each filtered to display the records at various stages of the approval process. The point of the group filter is to be able to highlight all records in a particular county or jurisdiction, regardless of their respective stage in the process. However, when the group filter is activated it multiples the record as if it exists in all stages as once. This behavior stops when the filter is turned off or reset. See image below. This data is currently incomplete, and displays as such (yellow, report forthcoming). But the Info Summary displays counts for the whole state, hence the group filter.... When the filter is activated, it cuts down the appropriate category, but then erroneously replicates it into all other categories. It would seem that the group filter is perfectly designed for what I want it to do....it just does too much besides. Here is a link to another question somebody asked over a year ago and got no responses to. Any thoughts?

It seems that currently the Attachment viewer keys on all layers in your map that have attachments. I have data that uses an approval workflow that passes between a few different groups and then various attributes are marked in turn. I currently use a configurable web app to display the same data symbolized in four different ways for the different stages they're at in their approval workflow. Currently I can only show the 'on deck for approval' layer in this version of the Instant Apps. To be able to keep all of the 'completed' records in the same application would be very nice as we hand the application to cooperators to view the 'on deck' records.

The current category selector abilities are highly limited. Suggestion is to make them more akin to the filter options present in the configurable web app builder. For instance, for one of our datasets we have a multi-field approval workflow. I would like a single selector to key on all of the fields in the approval workflow. E.g. a dataset where SURVEYSTATUS = 'Complete' and APPROVED = 'Yes' means the data is ready to be released to the public. In my case I'd like to display data that's 'on deck' to be released, which means I want a selector for SURVEYSTATUS = 'Complete' and APPROVED IS NULL. But this doesn't seem possible in a single selector.

Is it possible to configure a selector to key on multiple elements? This functionality exists in configurable web apps. You can choose any number of expressions to establish a filter, then it just gets toggled on and off. I can't figure out how to execute this in dashboard. We have an approval workflow that keys on multiple attributes. It would be really nice to be able to choose all of those attributes in a single selector.

Following up, after testing: @DebMcIlwrath 's method works well for a feature class. It does not work for a feature service (which is what I'm trying to accomplish. I received warnings that for the selected records attachments could not be removed, but then they appeared to be removed anyways). So if you're attempting to selectively remove batches of attachments on a feature service you would have to use a bit of a workaround, like exporting the subset of features, removing their attachments, and then replacing their old version in the feature service.

Replying in case anybody comes across with this with the same issue and is looking for solution. The problem is 'resolved' by using View layers. You can activate webhooks on the feature service, and then you can create view layers to both generate a survey from or use for editing. As long as you're using the view it doesn't generate the errors and webhooks can still be activated. Downloading an offline copy of the map (i.e. mobile geodatabase) and syncing also serves as a workaround.

I'll try that method. I'm familiar with the remove attachments tool, but it was removing all attachments on my test feature classes/feature services, regardless of selection, definition query, or creating a separate layer. The workaround of exporting a separate table is funky but I'll give it a go.

Is it possible to remove all attachments from a large number of selected features in a feature service all at once, but not remove everything? As far as I know the only way I've been able to remove attachments is by toggling them off and then back on again. You get a pop-up warning that they'll all be removed. What if I just wanted to remove attachments, from, say 100 features, rather than all of them? Is this possible? (of note, I'm not sure how to do this on a feature class in Pro, either. Definition queries and selecting features doesn't seem to stop all attachments getting removed).

Thanks, Vivek! This worked perfectly. I chose the second option, and it didn't take long for me to adapt it to my dataset. Now for whatever reason the chart I'm creating won't show up in color....but we'll wait on that.

Thanks, @DavidPike . Perhaps one of the Arcade blog authors (e.g. @VivekMalleshappa) might chime in. All of the examples I've been able to find seem to be the same...the code samples presented in the documentation page you linked are the same as those presented in the blog, which are the same as those presented on GitHub as possible examples. I am pretty novice so I often need to do quite a bit of triangulation before I can get code right.

I'm having trouble with the workflow and syntax for data expressions in a dashboard. I have two fields and I would like to be able to create dashboard elements from a concatenation of those two fields. Both fields are text and have domains. I understand the basics to create a pop-up or labels from this concatenation in Arcade, but do not see how to translate that into a feature set/data expression. Basic concatenation: Concatenate([$feature["Field_1"], $feature["Field_2"]], ' ') To start setting up the data expression... // Set variables
var portal = Portal('https://MyPortral.maps.arcgis.com/');
var itemId = 'itemId';
var layerId = 0;
var fs = FeatureSetByPortalItem(portal, itemId, layerId, ['*'], false); ....and now what is the appropriate workflow? Attempt to call fields and concatenate/count? Generate a dictionary of concatenated values and count? Documentation seems pretty skinny as this is fairly new.

I thought I would post this here and see if anybody is having similar issues. The issue: having a webhook activated on a feature service is interfering with various forms of editing. I have narrowed it down to the webhook being active; when toggled off, normal functionality resumes. When toggled back on, problems come back. You can reference this this blog post for background on the general workflow. My workflow: I maintain features in a feature service. This service is then edited by field staff using Survey123. I have a webhook on the feature service so that, when certain conditions are met in the feature, a Feature Report is generated. This is all done in Integromat. This workflow functioned beautifully for a few weeks. The symptoms: The feature service seems to have issues with being edited. With the feature service webhook active, the Survey123 mobile app shows a generic error when an update is submitted. However the data carries through. Certain editing operations are also having trouble for the feature service. I can make edits to existing features in the service (attributes, geometry, and can delete), but can't seem to add data en masse (which is critical to my workflow). If I try to copy features into the webook-active service, I get this: If if I try to append data into the service I get this: The warning above deals with the XY domain. I played with every environment setting in the tool, same result. Stranger still: If I use either copy/paste or the append tool and I enable undo and discard the edits, the features still show. Sometimes it's the ghost of those features...they'll pop up at certain scales and not be selectable. Other times, and this happened when I was trouble shooting and re-running the tools several times, I would close the project or remove the feature service and all of the attempts would show up. There'd be 10 of the same feature stacked on top (even though I discarded the edits). None of these errors throw if I deactivate the webhook on the feature service. They will instantly stop and functionality will resume. I have replicated this on multiple feature services, and today generated an entirely new service to test it again, and same story. I cannot pinpoint this to exactly when the AGOL update took place but it was certainly around then. I'd love to know if anybody is having similar issues or if there are solutions out there. The webhook and adding several features at once are both critical.

Resolved (sort of). The error appears to be connected to having an active webhook. The feature services had webhooks active. When deactivated the operation resumed normally.
