Hi Brian Lee, It is common that the amount of Zoning Types (i.e. entries in the Zoning Types table) is smaller than the amount of Zoning Boundaries (the actual geometries), since a certain Zoning Type can usually be assigned to multiple Zoning Boundaries (geometries). Therefore also multi-part polygons shouldn't cause any issues. How did you import the Zoning Types into Urban: a) From Spreadsheet? b) From Feature Table? c) From Feature Layer Symbology? To narrow down the reason for the validation errors you could try to import only a small and overseeable subset of your Zoning Types and Zoning Boundaries - this makes "debugging" a lot easier :-). Hope this helps.

Hi Brian Lee, Thank you for your question. Based on your screenshot I suspect that there are Zoning Boundaries which cannot be matched to a Zoning Type. The values in the Zoning Boundaries' Zoning Type field need to match a value in the Zoning Types' Join ID field. You can define which source field should be used as Zoning Type match field in the Zoning Boundaries import dialog. Validation errors on Zoning Boundaries import are usually thrown for Zoning Boundaries pointing to a Zoning Type that does not exist in the Zoning Types table. Please be aware that the matching is also case sensitive - so I'd suggest to not only watch out for blanks but also for upper- and lower-case letters in both, the Zoning Type field of the Zoning Boundaries layer as well as in the Join ID field of the Zoning Types table. Hope this helps.

Hi Julie Kottamala, Thank you for your question. It doesn't matter what you are typing into the "Callback URL" field, since this value doesn't get evaluated by ArcGIS Urban. What do you mean by the street view imagery doesn't show up ? - Did your Client-ID get stored in the Street View section of the Urban Data Manager? - In the Urban Overview, can you see the "Street level imagery" button in the bottom right corner? (see red square in the screenshot below) - If you drag the "Street level imagery" person to the Overview, do the green lines (indicating that there is street level imagery available) appear? (sometimes it takes some time until the green lines appear in the Overview) Kind regards, Dominik

Hi Providence Adu (PLN), No, voting without an ArcGIS Online account is currently not possible in ArcGIS Urban. Asking people to sign-in with an account is our current approach to make sure that a particular user can only vote once per comment. Nevertheless, I understand your concerns. We are planning to provide more advanced feedback and commenting capabilities in future versions of ArcGIS Urban, as I've already mentioned in an earlier comment here on GeoNet - stay tuned :-).

Hey David Kossowsky, The workflow that you describe is the foreseen way for deleting projects. This means that the current version of Urban does not support the deletion of multiple projects in one go. However, we plan to introduce additional data management capabilities to future versions of Urban - stay tuned.

Hi Providence Adu (PLN), Thank you for this question. Commenting on suggested ideas is not possible in Urban 1.1. However, we are aware of this need and are planning to provide more feedback and commenting capabilities in future versions of ArcGIS Urban - stay tuned 🙂

Hi Providence Adu (PLN), This is expected. Everybody (means logged-in as well as anonymous users) can add ideas but in order to up- or down-vote the ideas of others, you need to be logged in. However, in order to have the up- and down-vote buttons available, already a free ArcGIS Online public account is sufficient: Create account—ArcGIS Online Help | Documentation. It is not required that the user belongs to the same ArcGIS Online organization as your Urban Model.

Hey, Thanks for your question. It is intentional that in the Urban Overview only small pins indicate that there is a Plan or a Project. The Urban Overview provides, as its name says, an overview over all planning activities currently going on in a city. Therefore a simple representation of the planning activities is important. Otherwise, the Overview risks to look too cluttered. If you click on a pin in the overview or if you select a Plan or Project from the lists of Plans and Projects, scenario 1 is shown by default. Please refer to the following resources to learn more about Plans & Projects and their corresponding publishing options: - ArcGIS Urban 101 – Projects and Plans - Make a plan public—Help | Documentation - Make a project public—Help | Documentation Thanks, Dominik

Hey, Thanks for your question. To set the initial view for your Urban Model, navigate to a view that suits your needs, then click the Share button in the top right corner of the screen and in the Link tab apply the Set Current As Default button - tadaa - and your new initial view is set. You might also find useful information in the "Define the initial view" topic of the ArcGIS Urban documentation.

Which web browser are you using? While you are seeing the "Creating Services" screen, please open the developer tools of your web browser and there open the console. To open the developer tools in Chrome either hit F12 or from the Chrome menu select the option "More Tools", and then select" Developer Tools". Do you see any error messages in the console?

Hi Chad, Thank you for your question. In order to solve your task with the Network Analyst, the following approach came spontaneously to my mind: Convert the vertices of your polygon features to points (Feature Vertices To Points—Data Management toolbox | ArcGIS Desktop) Do this twice: once for the green polygons and once for the red polygons Calculate an OD cost matrix with the Network Analyst (OD cost matrix analysis layer—ArcGIS Pro | ArcGIS Desktop ) Load the vertices from the red polygons as origins and the vertices from the green polygons as destinations (or vice-versa) Use the OD cost matrix to find out the shortest path between any vertex of a green polygon and any vertex of a red polygon. Use these vertices geographic positions to determine to which green or red polygon the vertices belong. If you are having more detailed questions regarding the Network Analyst, please feel free to refer to the Network Analyst Geonet Place (Network Analyst ) - there it is more likely to find corresponding experts than on this GeoNet Space dedicated to the product ArcGIS Urban :-).

Hi, I would suggest that you first assign a spatial reference/projection information to your shapefile. If after doing so your shapefiles still don't align, I would say that this has something to do with the original data (e.g. data is not exactly covering the same spatial extent). If this question is just about displaying units, please be aware that in ArcGIS Pro you can easily switch between different formats for displaying the units: in the Map window just hit the arrow at the bottom of the window to the right of the coordinate display and choose whichever format suits your needs best. You posted your question here on the ArcGIS Urban Geonet Space. If you are having more detailed questions regarding spatial referencing of shapefiles, please feel free to refer to the ArcGIS Pro Geonet Place (ArcGIS Pro ) - there it is more likely to find corresponding experts than on this GeoNet Space dedicated to the product ArcGIS Urban :-). Thank you, Dominik

Hi Hannah, Thank you for clarifying what you are actually looking for. I asked some people in our office here in Zurich but I couldn't find anyone who has a broad experience in wind analysis mapping. Maybe you find some wind-mapping enthusiasts on the GeoNet space of ArcGIS Pro or on this GitHub repo: GitHub - Esri/wind-js: An demo animation of wind on a Canvas layer in the JSAPI Thanks, Dominik

Hi Hannah, Thank you for your question. Are you looking for someone who has experience with 3d wind analysis using esri software or are you searching for a specific wind analysis model? ArcGIS Urban offers a broad set of tools to faciltate urban planning workflows. It allows you to visualize development projects in the context of the built environment and also acts as a platform to facilitate public engagement. Whereas you can quantify and analyze the impact of planning measures, ArcGIS Urban currently doesn't offer tools for 3D wind analysis. Thanks, Dominik
