Yes, the current workflow requires that you either own the feature layer or are an administrator to be able to edit it. The other option is to remove the layer from public sharing when editing is required. (I.e., unshare the layer, enable editing, make your edits, then disable editing and share it again). If your computer is also behind the firewall, then you should be able to draw the layer. However, because it's behind a firewall, some actions of ArcGIS Online, like editing, won't work. For some operations, the service needs to be accessible from the web. You say you're running Server 10.0. Do you have any service packs installed? You can add multiple images to the popup, but can't view more than one simultaneously. They have to be viewed individually. How about merging the logo onto the image so you end up with just one image? Other than that, you'd have to create a custom application that didn't use the popup. thanks, Mike ... View more

Using those Esri layers requires an organizational subscription. Am I correct in assuming that you are a member of an organizational subscription but the teacher is not? Here's some text from the description of this layer: Important Note: This layer is available for users with an ArcGIS Organizational subscription. To access this layer, you'll need to sign in with an account that is a member of an organizational subscription.  If you don't have an organizational subscription, you can create a new account and then sign up for a 30 day trial of ArcGIS Online. Yes, ArcGIS Online will provide support for dynamic labeling Feature Layers in the next update, in mid-July. Here's an excerpt of documentation on labeling... To display labels for a layer,  select one or more attributes you want to show, for example, the name or type of feature. The map viewer automatically places labels on the map on or near the features they describe. You can control the text size, color, and style to help differentiate labels from different layers. The map viewer places as many labels on the map as possible without overlapping them. Thus, in areas where features are tightly clustered, some features may not get labeled. As you zoom in to an area, more labels will dynamically appear. Labeling priority follows the layer order in your map from top to bottom. Layers at the top get labeled first and thus, will have the most labels. There is no guarantee that you�??ll get the labels you want positioned exactly where you want them. You should be able to use your own custom basemap. When you add a layer you need to check the option to use as basemap. Only web layers (e.g., from arcgis server, WMS) can be made to be the basemap. Are you sure you're logged into an organization account? I can't think of a reason why the option wouldn't be there. Have you tried uploading from arcgis.com? The TPK has to be smaller < 1GB to upload from the browser. What version of arcgis desktop? You may want to open a tech support incident, give them the TPK and see if they can reproduce the problem. Well, here's a suggestion. I created a custom attribute display for my popup. Then added an image media. My data has a field with a unique URL for each feature that points to a unique image. For those features that don't have a URL, the popup doesn't display the image. Thanks, Mike ... View more

Yes people outside your organization can see your home page if you allow them to. On the My Organization tab, choose Edit Settings. There's an option under the Security tab to allow anonymous access to your organization. As an alternative, some people embed content from arcgis online into their own company web pages. What exactly are you trying to do? A token is a system generated key that allows you to access the layer. To get a token, you supply a valid username and password. Typically, if you're a developer, you have to deal with tokens. If you're using an application like ArcGIS.com, the token is generated for you.
