Perhaps you can reproduce this with other data that isn't sensitive and share that map? Thanks, Mike

Jon, Yes, can you post the URL to your web map here? You'll have to share it with everyone first. Thanks, Mike

Looks like your map is referencing hosted feature services that are not shared publicly. Your map is not referencing the data here: http://maps.dot.state.tx.us/ArcGIS/rest/services/CoordSysZones/MapServer If you look at the item details of your map, you'll notice the URLs to the layers say "services.arcgisonline.com..." You need to share those services with the people you want to see the map. Otherwise, when they open the map, they won't have access to the services. Typically, if you are not signed in you will be prompted to sign in. If you already are signed in, you will just not have access to the service and you'll get the error message you see. Were you thinking that you were actually accessing the services referenced in your ArcGIS Server? Mike

Can you share your webmap publicly and post the URL to it here? It's strange the IE is not listing the contents of the map. This appears to be a bug. The fact that the map doesn't display in IE, I suspect may be because you have too much data in your map. Shapefiles, CSVs added to a map are all drawn by the browser. Different browsers have different capabilities in terms of how much they can draw. IE is the worst. Each version of IE gets marginally better--IE9 is better than IE8, which is better than IE7. Firefox and Chrome can display more than IE. There's not much we can do to better support IE. Thanks, Mike

So, this is the map you reference in the other thread... http://www.arcgis.com/home/webmap/viewer.html?webmap=64c8f5c7f3eb4972a17dcfe024ce4bbe&extent=-90.0205,29.9618,-90.0172,29.9634 Here's what I observed... Default values are appearing correctly when you add a new feature (lot or structure). When I change a feature from lot to structure, the available choices for Occupancy and Property condition don't update. This appears to be a bug. Are you further expecting that when you change a feature from Lot to Structure that the other fields will assume their default values? Lastly, is this a test feature service? I added, then deleted features from it, so there are no permanent changes. Thanks, Mike

Daniel, To clarify my earlier post about localizing basemap labels...We will not be generating completely localized labels for our basemaps. What we have done already, where possible, is to provide localized labels for the area you are looking at. For example, if you navigate the map to Tokyo Japan, you will see labels in Japanese. However, we do not support Japanese labels when viewing the United States. Sorry for any confusion. Thanks, Mike

Stefan, It seems like the coordinates in the shapefile don't match the expected coordinates of the spatial reference as defined in the PRJ file. When I open this shapefile in ArcGIS Desktop, I get an error "One or more layers has an extent that is not consistent with the associated spatial reference information. In looking at the coordinates inside the shapefile, here's a sample: [92062.2500000003, 436080.33999999997] , [92063.75000000001, 436080.33999999997] , [92063.75000000001, 436078.84000000026] This is the spatial reference in the PRJ file http://spatialreference.org/ref/epsg/4326/ Coordinate values should be between -180.0000, -90.0000, 180.0000, 90.0000 Thanks, Mike

This appears to be a bug with the Map Gallery. I can reproduce the behavior you describe. It seems like the application only considers the initial drawing state of the visible layers to determine which popups will display. Altering the visibility by checking the boxes doesn't seem to have any impact. We'll have to take a look at this. Thanks, Mike

There is nothing ArcGIS.com can do for you. The file is just too big. You would have to figure out a way to make your KML file smaller. Thanks, Mike

Stefan The error message I can see is "The operation was attempted on an empty geometry." is it possible that the geometry for one of the features is bad? However, I am able to open this shapefile in ArcMap. We'll have to take a closer look. Thanks, Mike

We plan to introduce language support (I believe 10 languages) at our next release. It will include localization of the user interface as well as support for localized labels on basemaps. The release is planned for late February. Thanks, Mike

I think you may have forgotten to click the "save popup" button at the bottom of the popup panel after formatting the fields for editing. I tried this myself and it worked. Thanks, Mike

you can share the URL to the REST endpoint of your ArcGIS Server... I assume this is a public server? I believe the limit is being controlled by the server. By default, a service will return up to 1000 records at a time. You don't really want your server returning 100,000 records at once. Ideally, you should set up visible scale ranges for the features in the service. Thanks, Mike
