So in my searches, I cannot find a way to date format to include the day of the week. In excel it's DDDD for a full date and DDD for abbreviated... yet it seems absent from supported formatting. The same is true of Survey123 Report formatting, which also does not include this. With the various survey123 appearances it clearly displays the day of the week in the form element... All i want to do is write to a string/text field to display the day, month, date, year) Has anyone solved this conundrum and is this at all on the path. Someone from ESRI mentioned something related to dates may be improved upon.

In a perfect world, all functions (nor early all) WAB would migrate to ExB. I can only hope that Attribute Table editing will finally become a reality, as it has been widely requested as a feature enhancement since 2013 ish when WAB first became available. The new Web Map Viewer has only recently been enhanced to allow direct Table editing, calculation, and other features that are still in the pipeline. Due to missing features, it is still difficult to offer ExB as the primary solution to our clients, nor recommend it internally for developing applications, due to the uncertainty.

Good Afternoon, reviewing previous requests they did not clearly define the problem we experience annually with ArcGIS Online subscriptions (including ArcGIS Pro). As Administrators of the account for large 1000+ organizations, we need to have the following abilities within the Administration Controls of AGO. At current when your (30) 15 days before the end of a subscription the entire organization gets bombarded with the expiration notice. This is unnecessary and causes a burden on the administrators of the organization with constant messaging from casual users of the platform. In many cases, the license/sub will auto-renew and thus the message is unnecessary to display from an organizational standpoint. The following solution(s) should be implemented for the Expiration Notice Turn off (or permanently surpress) messages of expiration of AGO Subscription as an option (or allow only those with ADMIN roles to see it) Potentially define which Roles within the organization see this message. A viewer Account or someone with a role that defines in a similar way does not need to be burdened with this message. The ability to store the single acknowledgment within the Cookie so the message does not appear after a user clicks. This also should be extended to those in a Restricted State Organization, though I could see the value in letting users know that some functions may not work. We need to have the ability as Administrators to control the messages being displayed on the platform. Ability to turn off the Restricted State Ribbon by the Admin Ability to define who sees the Ribbon based upon their defined Role in the organization. Lastly, we have Provisioning of ArcGIS Professional Through ArcGIS Online (AGO). While I do not think it functionally possible to suppress the License Experation Notice for ArcGIS Pro. Given that the option to "be Reminded 14 days before is an option clicked by default in the ArcGIS Pro application. We like to consider that this could be turned off by default for organizations who have "Software" managed through an auto-deployment system. E.g. Create the image with set options to avoid this annoyance for Licenses managed through AGO. Request that: Ability in AGO to turn off ArcGIS Pro Expiration notices (if possible) Ability to somehow form an organization standpoint customize the installation of ArcGIS Pro to have that option turned off by default. There is also some further speculation to take into consideration Use of a license server to deploy concurrent licensing of ArcGIS Pro through a license manager and those using Single Login Authenticated may also have their own problems. ArcGIS Desktop Admin/License Admin tools did allow one to turn off/on 14-day notice. I am unclear if the option exists in ArcGIS Pro Admin/License tools. This has been a long-time annoyance that hits nearly all admins annually. Specifically annoying for those who have an EA for large organizations with 1000s of users.

Thank the maker. I am very hopeful it will be a notification similar to the "You have pending edits save" or "this operation will modify data" clickable and dismissible notices at the top of a geoprocessing or calculate tool If it ends up being a prompt, that's ok too but sub optimal given they built all these "notifications" in.

Thank you, X-mas came early. I can only hope it encompasses any function within ArcGIS pro that can potentially run off a subset when features are selected.

I am glad and sadden that it has taken 8 years for this to be "Under Consideration". I can only hope that while ArcGIS Desktop is on the way out that the consideration is with regards to ArcGIS Pro. This should also be extended to Geoprocesses, Calculation and Data Exporting. Those 3 are the most common missteps (can't remember if publishing data while selected only does the selection) when a user attempts to run "something" only to realize it ran on the selected. I am also to lazy to see if this ENH request is pointed out else where.

Your right it appears sometime late last year they removed the Mouse Over ability to see what group a item was share too. Now it takes 2 Clicks and for me the need to scroll through over 300 groups to find what it was shared too. This is not acceptable for administrators of large organizations. The iconography used for each group is not enough to determine what group an item is part of.

Thank you for the detailed response. I was able to follow your example. I also found that it was partially my fault. I connected the Hard Drive after i opened ArcPro. Due to how ArcPro refreshes directories (e.g. its not dynamic when you hit add data, you have to manually refresh the directory hitting the button. In my case, I closed and reopened ArcPro while the drive was connected and it updated the directory cache and saw the drive. 🙂 So word to the wise, make sure your drives are connected before you open ArcPro.

I cannot find any documentation on this, is ArcPro unable to map to externally connected hard drives. Years ago they implemented the ability to map to network drives and drive letters. I have a 4 TB image file on an external hard drive and I am unable to add a folder connection to it. Has anyone experienced this.

One of my most favorite of features for sure, nothing better than a honking big button to send data to Survey123. Survey123 URL Generator and Cool Buttons This URL above is very good at just teaching the basic of the URL, the buttonfactory link is a bit outdated but the image frame is pretty easy to modify.

That's not good, as I use the custom URL for all sorts of Survey123 trickery, ESRI recently posted a functionality guidance document as a blog post. I started a thread post about a compatibility guide and started a "undocumented" features missing reply. Maybe we should start to document these missing features in one spot.

In the last hour I've started to fiddle with the New Map Viewer and the current guidance document does not cover all the missing features. I might as well start the Undocumented Missing Features Attribute Table Table does not actively select a record No Zoom to Selected Feature No Select subset from selected feature No Clear Selected (aka to undo what you just selected above) No ability to filter from the table, would have to define in the layer in the TOC No Related Table view, (it was noted that the pop-up did not support Related table, this also means the attribute table view does not support it either. Assumed a file field would exist if attachments are enabled.

FYI as of 4/14/2021 (10:10 AM) the compatibility guide post has either disappeared, archived or become hidden. Which is interesting as I had just posted around 9:45 to the bottom of that thread.... I believe it might be done to replace it with a new Blog Post outlining the Compatibility functionality guidance in a more high level area. Unfortunately some of the links in the blog are broken and inaccessible such as the Road Map. The tale of two ArcGIS online map viewers: functionality guidance "and compatibility" I would post all the functionality that missing but rather not create a second "user moderated" post that could conflict. But might as well do some tidbits as of 4/14/2021 No Calculate Field in Table No Related Table viewer in Pop-up No Copy Paste layer in the TOC No Save layer to override its configurations No Analysis functionality No refresh interval Some compatibility issues with Map Layers, Image Layers, Vector Layers, WMS OGC layers, too numerous to list. There some other minor stuff.

This is great, thank you. With its release immanent I wanted to make sure there were enough tags and potential indexable search results for when my clients begin to call and do google searches for a solution to why X doesn’t work in the new era 😊

Curious has anyone gone through and thoroughly vetted AGO new Map Viewer (Beta) which will shortly be released out of beta (4/1/2021 ish release) to see what functionality was missing from what will be called the Map Viewer Classic. As I have not been following its development, I am not familiar with the many changes and updates that occurred in the Beta. I am worried that the new Viewer will lack some basic functionality that was present in the earlier iteration, and that this will turn into an ArcPro situation. In which the product lack some of the basic functionality of its predecessor, which will then be a slow drip to get all the desired functionally. Keep in mind that if the tool or workflow was rebranded and still there just accessed differently might be worth noting in a change log. Also haven't checked the beta site to see if they have a roadmap for implementation of missing features, as my quick google search didn't yield any results. My ultimate goal is to see or create a list of those missing features (if any) Thanks!
