A great question would be are any of these requests placed on as a Feature Enhancement? Not being able to adjust the geopoint question or work with the "geosearch" window to move the point based upon previous input fields seems a missed opportunity. Ability to populate the geosearch from fields within the form, then have it move the geopoint on an Enhancement request. There doesn't seem to be anything for the Geocoding. In my scenario, we are using Web Form of Survey123, so users would not necessarily have GPS or location enable, nor would they be at the location when they answer the questions. We don't even want to have the geopoint question appear with the map. I just want the person to input the address and then update behind the scenes the geopoint centroid, so it doesn't end up of the coast of the Atlantic Ocean and so I don't have to geocode them after the fact. Perhaps I'm missing something but all i want Survey123 to do is geocode the XY location based upon the input address.

Before I open a Case with ESRI technical support. I am curious if anyone else is having problem with Survey123 Build 3.7 (prob/maybe an issue on earlier versions) where a Photo Attached from the Camera Roll does not maintain the EXIF data when submitted through a Survey 123 (Mobile) on an iOS device? Photos taken with the camera in Survey123 maintain their EXIF Data. Photos uploaded do not, unless they were captured in the Most Compatible Camera Format. I've tested the image quite a few times using EXIF viewers on my phone. There is data there but when uploaded it gets stripped or removed. I haven't tried exporting from ArcPro/ArcMap using the attachment manager, this has mostly been though accessing it via Feature Service in AGOL. Then running it through a EXIF viewer software/website Jeffrey Friedl's Image Metadata Viewer that i've been using for years because i'm to lazy to install something on my computer. Perhaps I am missing something You can view the feature service here (its all just test data), the most recent records are labeled as Missing Exif Data EXIF data 12/11/2019. Device: iPhone 11 Pro Max (latest 13.2.3) Survey123 Connect/Desktop: 3.7.60 builds (latest available) Curious if anyone else could run a test or seen such a problem. Its possible that I might just be missing something in the attachment data. I had suspected it might have something to do with the zonkyness that comes with the HEIC to JPG conversions that occur automatically by iOS to ensure compatibility. Survey123 does not appear to honor the Camera Format setting. I just tested by capturing a photo with Most Compatible (which creates the older JPG format). When uploaded to camera roll the EXIF is maintained. when uploaded using a photo in High Efficiency, the EXIF data is stripped. When a photo is taken with Survey123 Camera in HEIC mode. EXIF data is maintained. When attempting to take a photo with Most Compatible (Survey123 does not honor this setting and will always capture in HEIC format). Take a look at the last record in the feature service. http://cdmsmith.maps.arcgis.com/home/item.html?id=6da1f6452b74432780425521cd7bdbbc#data Curious if anyone else is seeing this.

Pretty sure I had the same issue a few minutes ago, until i realized that the Custom URL works differently when initiating from the Web Map vs Collector. In the web map it appears that the Custom URL does not honor the Source Layer Custom Pop-up values. But when pushing the URL from Collector the Custom Pop-up settings truncate the X/Y value to the decimal settings from the Source Feature class. By changing the SOURCE layer Custom Pop-up on the web map which defaults decimals to 2 decimal places to 8 decimal places. The Custom URL being pushed from collector now pushes the right # of values in the URL to survey123. I went about setting the DESTINATION feature class CUSTOM pop-up to 8 decimal places, but honestly that layer is not being written too until the Survey is submitted. Still needs to set the Custom pop-up in both Source and Destination feature classes to 8 decimals to display and push data correctly on the mobile data. Bonus fun fact if your USING ArcGIS Explorer to push a custom URL, the values with coded domains actually PUSH the LABEL and not the CODE. Meaning if you had integer fields 1 = Cast Iron The URL Will push the word "Cast Iron" from Explorer While in Collector it will push the proper coded domain 1. So the CUSTOM URL function differently on each platform, Web and Mobile Apps. So just FYI.

Thanks for the clarification on that, When i tried to use the TestFlight on the iOS i was unclear why the fix didn't appear to work, yet my co-worker using Android beta was able to move on.

Good Morning, just a FYI we are using an Enterprise Portal instance of Survey123 on the iOS and are encountering a similar problem with the latest build of Survey123. The user was able to update the forms this morning, but a second form update has resulted in a problem. Though the above user was able to download by signing into a device, it was not working using the QR code or Hyperlink. Though this was not the workflow we are running. we just have the user update the form while logged into the device. iOS 12.3.1 and the latest version of Survey123 on the iOS3.5.176 Note that we also following the instruction in the off chance that downloading the BETA version of 3.6, but we encountered the same problem on an iOS device. Even with the beta installed. We are also getting reports of Android users who are unable to install both Portal and AGOL. I unfortunately am unable to recreate the problem. As I had the version before 3.5.176 and was able to login, i was also able to download the beta and login and download no problem. This issue is tied to the specific iOS device using, that specific version. So we did not uninstall Survey123 when we installed the beta under fear that the user would not be able to install ANY FORMS at all. Attempts to create dummy and fresh empty forms resulted in the same problem. The only cause i could think of would be that we did not Uninstall Survey123 before installing the BETA.

Upon further review, Labels were the reason why. Labels cannot allow for dynamic tile creation, the moment you save your feature service or publish it from arcmap with labels on will disable the feature. https://doc.arcgis.com/en/arcgis-online/manage-data/manage-hosted-tile-layers.htm#GUID-132E3DD5-83E3-459B-B3B9-77C0B13ABBA1 Gonna close this tomorrow, unless anyone got something else to add

Interesting enough Pushing the a zip geodatabase has the Create Tiles automatically visible, so I do have my solution. But not sure if this is a bug or something set incorrectly in ArcMap when publishing will "break" the option. Will test in pro later.

Currently i am attempting to publish a Tile layer from a hosted feature Service (Note all services are hosted in AGOL). Yet when attempts are made to generate tiles automatically i find the option to be grayed out completely and only. The layer i am attempting to use is a freshly minted Feature Service from a Geodatabase. Nothing seems out of the ordinary. A second layer which I've published else where does allow the generation of tiles automatically. There is no rime or reason as to why it would be grayed out. According to the Help document and the blog post this should be a straight forward endeavor. https://community.esri.com/community/gis/web-gis/arcgisonline/blog/2017/07/06/arcgis-blog-publishing-tiles-from-features-efficient-automatic-and-economical The layer I am publishing is simply a POINT Feature class, and the example one which does have dynamic tiling enable is a similar data set. Unless it needs to be published from a hosted view. But I've tried a variety of different formats. The difference between the two layers would be that one (That is grayed out) was published right from ArcMap 10.6 while the other was a layer generated by Survey123 as a feature service. Unless there some behind the scenes bs happening that defines these two layers differently I am at a loss. As the "Create Tile Automatically" button which should be visible when you CLICK FEATUER SERVICE DESCRIPTION > PUBLISH > TILE Does not even appear. Will try to publish the data from a uploaded zip geodatabase. Has anyone else encountered this? I Believe the March/April AGOL updates may have done something wiggy to things. Is there perhaps some other hidden requirements to have it enabled?

Agreed, surprised this still hasn't got attention, and only recently did I try and take a look into this issue with the 2017 update. With the addition of layer views in Dec 2016, we were so very close to creating a fake "map service", where data is publicly available yet not downloadable. The Rest Service exposure on public enabled feature services should allow us the ability to toggle/show the Source: Feature Service in the corner. Would also like the ability of the feature service to toggle visibility in ArcGIS Desktop or ArcGIS Pro, and disable the "Open in ArcGIS Desktop" button on the description. Even though you can sort of work your way to the rest service thru various methods. Not letting users add to ArcMap or add through searching in the AGOL in ArcMap or ArcPRo would be a quick step in the right direction.

Hello, I'm scratching my head on trying to locate the similar function in ArcMap, which allowed a user to display a table with the actual code values verse the code description. In the before time, we were blessed with Appearance Option in the Attribute Table with the ever useful checkbox for Show Coded domain Value/Subtype Description. In ArcGIS Pro, I've seen a variety of tools from the "Fields" menu and "Subtype" Menu which allow for much of the legwork in the world of showing things... and hiding things. Its lead me to believe there may not be a way to show the actual values, aside from removing the domain table. Bonus: Also looking for those other table options that would allow me to change the font size etc. If anyone has seen how to do this, please let me know. Its simply a user preference to see for example UNK vs Unknown Pipe when i'm trying to work with limited monitor space and smaller field "row widths" Thanks. Eric Pescatore

Thanks, I’ve noticed the GlobalID field converting to 0000 values myself but paid it no mind, since the edits were still able to Sync back with the bug, it was still disheartening and concerning to see it. Also those 1000’s of attachments all attached to the same record ☺ . It’s been inconsistent with when the 0000 will appear but I suspect it has to do with large feature datasets (greater than for example 2000 records). I may have to start using Replicas off the Rest Services on AGO opposed to the built in Checkout functionality. Pulling data down from AGO with attachments in geodatabase format (when you have large amount of attachment data) https://youtu.be/Fw1K8rmV8O4 Eric Pescatore Ex 26340

Though the topic is out of date by over a month now, i am curious if anyone has a solution to this. I have also encountered the same situation in which my local copy times out after no less than a minute. My dataset is similar but with less features 5000, but over 1 GB worth of attachment data. Checking out a townwide dataset has worked in the past. Naturally i am using ArcGIS Online hosted feature services and thus have no access to any ArcServer functions outside of manipulating the Rest Services.

... So in my attempts to navigate the ESRI, ARCGIS website to post a question... it has led me to this point... so... hopefully this would be the place to ask a simple question.... I feel lost and confused... I have attachment data posted in ArcGIS online, but due to a misunderstanding of the MAX TABLE RETURN when publishing content, i'm limited to downloading 1000 records...... So one path i'm looking into in order to get to my data down and republish... i will need to download it in 1000 feature chunks using "Create local copy for editing". (Note that i have over 9000 points and 4 GB worth of attachment data... up in the cloud) So now i have 8 databases, each with an attachment table, identical schema and assumed global IDs that were generated when publishing to AGO. How might one merge these attachment tables and maintain the relationship into a single MASTER dataset? Getting the feature classes together seems is a simple enough task but i assume it can't be as easy as "loading data" into the attachment table? THere was a help doc related to restoring relationship table... but really lookin for guidance . Also i would use the Export to file geodatabase option that was recently added with the July AGO release but unfortunately, it fails due to the fact that i don' think they were expecting someone to host over 5 GB worth of attachment data What is the easiest way to merge data together into a single attachment table and dataset?

Hello All, I'm attempting to work with a series of maps in "ArcGIS for SharePoint 2.1.1" and ran into a few problems/questions. 1) Zoom extent. In my map I'm displaying some data from our Rest service (e.g building, manholes, and some utilities). We want to Zoom even closer into the map but we seem to be stuck at a pre-determined zoom limits. In this case its 1 inch = 200 feet. From fiddling around it seems that the zoom level Minimum are based on the ESRI "Basemap" layer. and i notice that there is a button within the Toolbar called "Snap to Scale Levels", but its unclear if this is being applied or not as clicking it and saving doesn't have any affect. If i bring in the Imagery we get to zoom to 1:100, you use Open Street Maps it minimal is 1:200. Are we stuck at these pre-determined scale levels based on the Base-Map Layer? Does any know how to over-ride this zoom level control so we could get down to for example 1 inch = 40 scale or am i stuck with settings not applying correctly. 2) Data Frame rotation? Does anyone know if the Web Part could support a custom rotated data frame? Our maps we generally produce have the data displayed on a 25 degree angle. I'd appreciate any. Thanks Eric Pescatore
