Hello, Can you share the service or the app that you are building? Are any of your fields using subtypes? If so, this discussion maybe helpful https://community.esri.com/message/592880?sr=search&searchId=bb4c5f3f-1ed5-42cc-91a6-937eea72ce9f&searchIndex=0 -Kelly

Hi Michael, Can you share the service that is performing poorly? I added some specific suggestions for the service mentioned in the post above. Another option is to contact technical support and they can look into what may be causing the performance issue. Feel free to reply here if you need help getting in contact with support. -Kelly

Hi Nathaniel, The above service seems to have some very complex geometry, over 100,000 vertices on some features. Depending on the use of this specific dataset, I would recommend simplifying the geometery, publishing the service as a tiled service or apply multiscale geometry optimization settings on the feature layer to improve the performance of this particular data set. -Kelly

Hi Bruce, Jason ran into an issue with how his table was structured. you can read more about the specific bug at this link: BUG-000097921: In ArcGIS Online, publishing a CSV file as a feature.. The particular issue was related to how the spreadsheet was structured. When creating a service out of a csv file, ArcGIS online determines the field length based on the first 10 records. Some entries exceeded the initial field length further down in the csv, causing the duplication. This bug is being worked on by the team. If this sounds similar to your data, try adding the longest values as the first records in your spreadsheet. If it seems unrelated, contact support so that they can help look at your data. -Kelly

Hello, There is a known issue with storing items with the source url in the same folder. Please see the following defect for more information. BUG-000091348: Moving two items referring to the same service URL While a solution is being worked on, I recommend using the default folder for storing multiple copies of a layer, or adding the item directly to the folder, removing the need to move the item. -Kelly

Hi Sergio, The location button in the Geoform app (and other apps) uses the Geolocation API to prompt the user for permission and find their position. Starting with Google Chrome version 50 and potentially other browsers, some HTML5 web APIs will require using a secure origin like https to work correctly such as the Geolocation API. This blog explains this in further detail: Increased web API security in Google Chrome | ArcGIS Blog As a result of these changing standards, the locate button shouldn't be displayed for apps that are loaded via http. There is a bug where the locate button appears with some mobile browsers that is resulting in the error that you are seeing when you try to use the locate button with an app that loads of http. The bug is being worked on for a future release. Long story short: If you want to use the locate button, ensure that you load the app over https. -Kelly

Hi, This functionality should be working, so I suggest contacting Technical Support to look into the specific issue. Here are some initial troubleshooting steps: Try loading the sample geoform app on your phone: https://www.arcgis.com/apps/GeoForm/index.html Are you able to use the locate button using the different app? Are you launching the app using http or https? Can you share the app url? -Kelly

Hi Jonathan, How are you updating the layer? There are a few options so understanding your exact workflow will be helpful. Are you overwriting the feature service to update the data? In the update are attributes being changed or is new data being added or a combination of both? -Kelly

As some follow up, this was caused by the following bug: BUG-000099728. As a workaround, ensure that there is no text in the description field of the Map in ArcGIS Pro when publishing.

Hi Kate, In order to use customized print layouts, you currently need to host your own printing service on ArcGIS Server. This is an idea that is being considered for future releases of the software.

Hi Rich, In order to maintain symbology, you will need to save the data as a layer. If your feature service is created from a CSV file with Longitude and Latitude values for location, I recommend publishing a hosted feature service from the csv file. You will then have the option to overwrite the service with a new csv file of the same name. Manage hosted web layers—ArcGIS Online Help | ArcGIS This will allow you to maintain the symbology while updating the data. Cheers, Kelly
