Yes this issue is resolved. I just tested this through the data tab and the table in map viewer and new fields appear immediately in the table after adding the new field. It sounds like you are still running into the issue. Can you share the steps that you are currently following that displays the error? What is the field type that you are adding? string, interval, double, date? How did you publish the feature layer? file? ArcGIS Pro? empty feature service? Thanks, Kelly

Hi Joshua, Thanks for the feedback. I'll fix up that broken link. This blog refers to feature services hosted on ArcGIS Server not vector tile services. Please note that the virtual tiles mentioned in this blog for hosted feature services are also not supported with ArcGIS Server. If you are working with ArcGIS Server or ArcGIS Enterprise and are looking to display a lot of features, I'd suggest using raster tile services if the data is static or check your machines resources to see what types of complex feature queries it can output.

Hi Michael, It is not possible to add a field to a view layer. If you want to add a new field, you need to add it to the source feature layer, where it will be visible and then update the view definition to make it visible in dependent hosted feature layer views. This way, newly added field data does not unintentionally flow into all dependent feature layer views. The bug was addressed for the source feature layer views. Were you able to get to the bottom of this issue? If so, can you post the solution? IF not, getting in touch with technical support would be my recommendation to see what is happening with your dataset.

Currently the append tool with ArcGIS Online does not include attachments in a file geodatabase being appended. If you are looking to append attachments, I suggest editing/using a tool with a local copy to add the attachments for now. -Kelly

Thanks for sharing the layer. Do you have a dataset to join it to that I can try to reproduce the issue with? I noticed that scale dependency is set on the layer. When you are running the join tool, are the road features visible or not? -Kelly

Thanks for the feedback. With the Layer refresh, there isn't a way to smoothen out the rendering of features currently as a new query is sent to check for more features. Hi Brett, In order to have pop ups configured, I'd suggest using ArcGIS Pro for your desktop authoring experience. From ArcGIS Pro, you can author and publish items that include pop ups. IF you want to create pop ups after publishing to ArcGIS Server, Publish your service, register it with ArcGIS Online and then use the visualization tab to create a pop up that can be accessed by all web maps that add the item via search for layers instead of copy and pasting the url. -Kelly
